Work Text:

"Thank you so much! Have a nice day, miss!"

"You as well!"

Peach left the quaint little shop with a smile, personal bag in arm, and parasol in hand. Oh, Faire Square was such a splendid place! The lively chatter and laughter from all sorts of folks had her turning in every such direction, taking it all in on such a lovely day. Perhaps she could simply burst into song right here and now, and the whole town might just join in!

"Oof-!"

The princess suddenly found herself struggling on her feet, but quickly regained her balance.

"Ah, I'm sorry- hm?"

Her eyes had fallen onto the other she had bumped into, who looked completely unfazed as she just... continued moving...

"Twila?"

Peach called out to her, but to no response. During such a bright blue sky? She's almost never out at this time! Well... she did recall some anecdotes of friends seeing a similar sight in the past. That certainly isn't very good.

Her flow of thoughts was promptly interrupted when she felt the air feel a bit warmer than previously, followed by a light tap on her shoulder. Peach turned around to find Brighton, looking a little panicked and smiling awkwardly.

"Hey, so... you see Twila anywhere?"

The princess turned around and pointed, "Oh, yes! Just that way. It's like she's in her own bubble..."

"Thanks! Uh..." Brighton continued. "She has a habit of, well... getting out like this. Don't freak out too much if this happens again, just gimme a call!"

The sun waved goodbye as he went in the direction of the moon. Peach watched from where she stood as he lightly gripped Twila's shoulder and teleported away, presumably back home. Peach's smile returned as she spun her parasol. Perhaps she'll share her treats with those two when the evening rolls around.
