Chapter Text

Toji Fushiguro stirred awake, the soft bed beneath him feeling alien.

As he blinked against the sunlight streaming through the window, a sense of disorientation washed over him.

This wasn’t the battlefield he was used to; this was a room decorated with posters of heroes, their bright smiles contrasting sharply with his own past.

“Where am I?” he muttered, swinging his legs over the side of the bed.

The floor felt cool against his feet, grounding him in this strange new reality.

He stood up and walked to the window, peering out at a bustling city filled with people and towering structures.

A flash of movement caught his eye—a hero soaring through the sky.

Toji’s brow furrowed. 'Heroes?' He had always been a lone wolf, a force of nature in his own right, but here he felt like an outsider.

As he stepped outside, the vibrant atmosphere enveloped him.

Children laughed as they pointed at a nearby hero demonstrating their quirk—a burst of flames that danced in the air.

Toji’s instincts kicked in; he could feel the energy around him, the palpable excitement mingling with an undercurrent of tension.

“Hey! You there!” a voice called out. Toji turned to see a young boy with green hair and wide eyes running toward him. “Are you a hero?”

Toji smirked, crossing his arms. “Not quite. Just someone trying to figure things out.”

The boy’s face lit up. “You look strong! Like All Might! Are you here to save us?”

“Save you?” Toji chuckled darkly. “I’m not here to play hero.”

“But you can be!” The boy’s enthusiasm was infectious. “You could join U.A. High School! They train heroes there!”

Toji raised an eyebrow. “What makes you think I want to be a hero?”

“Because you’re strong! You can protect people!” The boy’s sincerity struck a chord within Toji.

“Protecting people…” Toji echoed, his thoughts drifting back to his own son, Megumi. He had fought for survival, for family—was there more to it than that?

Before he could respond, a loud explosion echoed nearby, shaking the ground beneath them.

Panic erupted as people screamed and scattered. Instinctively, Toji moved forward, adrenaline surging through him.

“Stay back!” he shouted to the boy as he sprinted toward the chaos.

He arrived at the scene to find a massive villain wreaking havoc—a creature made entirely of shadow and malice.

It roared as it swung its massive fists at fleeing civilians.

Toji’s eyes narrowed; this was familiar territory. He felt the rush of power within him, stronger than anything he had ever experienced in his previous life.

With a fierce determination, he leaped into action.

“Hey! You!” Toji shouted at the creature, drawing its attention away from innocent bystanders.

It turned its monstrous gaze toward him, growling lowly.

“What are you going to do?” it taunted, its voice dripping with malice.

Toji smirked, feeling invigorated by the challenge. “I’m going to show you what real strength looks like.”

With blinding speed, Toji closed the distance between them and delivered a powerful kick that sent shockwaves through the air.

The creature staggered back, stunned by the sheer force of his attack.

“You’re strong!” a voice called from behind him—it was the green-haired boy again.

“You can do it!” he shouted excitedly as if cheering on a gladiator in an arena.

“Stay back!” Toji barked again but couldn’t help but feel a flicker of pride at being seen as strong in this world.

The villain recovered quickly and lunged at Toji with renewed fury.

But Toji was faster; he dodged effortlessly and countered with a series of brutal strikes that showcased his unmatched combat prowess.

“You think you can take me down that easily?” Toji growled as he delivered another devastating blow that sent the creature crashing into a nearby building.

As dust settled around them, civilians began to emerge from their hiding places, eyes wide with disbelief at what they had just witnessed.

“Who is that guy?” someone whispered in awe.

“He’s incredible!” another exclaimed.

Toji stood amidst the wreckage, breathing heavily but feeling alive for perhaps the first time in years.

This world had rules different from his own—yet here he was, not just surviving but thriving in chaos.

The green-haired boy approached cautiously, eyes sparkling with admiration. “You really are strong! You should be a hero!”

Toji shook his head slowly but couldn’t hide his smirk. “Maybe I’ll just be something different.”

As sirens wailed in the distance and heroes began to arrive on the scene, Toji felt an unfamiliar warmth spreading through him—a sense of belonging that had long eluded him.

Perhaps this world could offer him something beyond mere survival; perhaps it could teach him what it meant to truly live.

“Hey,” he said suddenly to the boy. “What’s your name?”

“Izuku! Izuku Midoriya!” he replied excitedly.

“To be continued then, Izuku,” Toji said with newfound resolve as he turned back toward the chaos unfolding around them—ready to carve out his place in this world where heroes and villains clashed endlessly.
