Notes:

Sorry, I don't want to go into details but someone got access to my computer and deleted my previous account a couple of days ago, I didn't notice it at first so now I'm reposting this fic. It may takes me some times as a couple older fics were deleted too. I'm very sorry I lost all the previous comments, I liked them a lot. I'm not giving up on this story, I'll be more careful to log out every time I'm not updating as to avoid getting this story deleted again. I'll post chapter 3 before the end of this month, I swear.

Edit: I found an old session where I have some of the comments (most likely only the older ones). I saved them in a screenshot and put them here later.

This is happening before the fourth case with Edgeworth, before Christmas (*open scroll* Phoenix Wright said : "Almost Christmas means it wasn't Christmas!")

Chapter Text

Maya Fey stood in the dimly lit room of Fey Manor, her heart pounding with anticipation. The air was thick with the scent of incense, and candles flickered softly, casting long shadows on the walls. Today marked the anniversary of her sister Mia's passing, and Maya had decided to perform a ritual to honor her memory. Phoenix Wright, her loyal friend and confidant, stood beside her, a mixture of concern and support etched on his face.

"Are you absolutely sure about this, Maya?" Phoenix asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Maya nodded, her eyes fixed on the small altar she had prepared. "I need to do this, Nick. I want to feel close to her again, even if it's just for a moment."

She carefully arranged the items on the table: a photograph of Mia smiling brightly, a small bowl of rice, and a delicate white cloth that had once belonged to their mother. Maya took a deep breath, steeling herself for what was to come.

As she began the ritual, Maya closed her eyes and focused her energy. "Spirit of my sister, Mia Fey, I invite you to join us today. We remember you and all the love you brought into our lives."

Phoenix joined in, holding Maya's hand tightly. "We miss you, Mia," he added softly.

At first, everything seemed to be going as planned. The candles flickered gently, and a warm sensation began to fill the room. Maya felt her heart lift, believing she was on the verge of connecting with her sister. But then, something shifted.

The temperature in the room plummeted suddenly, and an icy wind whipped through the space, causing the candles to flicker violently. Maya's eyes snapped open, her breath catching in her throat as she felt an unsettling energy begin to swirl around them.

"Maya..." a voice echoed in her mind, but it wasn't Mia's gentle tone. It was deeper, more sinister, sending chills down her spine.

"M-Mia?" Maya called out hesitantly, her voice trembling.

The atmosphere in the room shifted dramatically. Shadows began to twist unnaturally on the walls, taking on grotesque shapes. Phoenix looked around nervously, his grip on Maya's hand tightening. "Uh, Maya? This doesn't feel right..."

Before either of them could react further, a powerful gust of wind tore through the room, extinguishing all the candles in an instant. The photograph of Mia flew off the table, shattering against the wall with a resounding crash. Maya gasped as she felt a heavy, oppressive weight settle over her.

"Maya! Get back!" Phoenix shouted, instinctively stepping in front of her as a dark figure began to materialize before them.

It was a shadowy silhouette that bore no resemblance to Mia. It loomed ominously, its presence suffocating and cold. Maya couldn't tear her gaze away from it, even as fear gripped her heart.

"Who are you?" she demanded, her voice shaking. "What do you want?"

The figure's voice echoed like thunder, filling the room with its malevolent presence. "You summoned me by mistake, little medium. But now that I'm here, I think I'll stay a while."

Panic surged through Maya as she realized they had inadvertently opened a door to something far more sinister than she had intended. "No! This isn't what I wanted! Go away!"

The entity laughed darkly, its voice reverberating through the room and seeming to come from all directions at once. "You sought connection; I offer power beyond your wildest dreams. Join me, and you'll never be alone again."

Maya felt herself being drawn toward the figure against her will, as if invisible chains were binding her. "Phoenix!" she cried out, reaching for her friend desperately.

"Hold on!" Phoenix shouted back, rushing forward despite his fear. He grabbed Maya's shoulders firmly and pulled her back with all his strength. "Let go of her!" he demanded fiercely, glaring at the shadowy entity.

In that moment of desperation, Maya closed her eyes tightly and focused on Mia's memory—the warmth of her sister's laughter, the love they shared, the strength Mia had always shown. "Mia!" she called out with all her heart. "Help me, please!"

Just as it seemed all hope was lost, a brilliant light erupted from within Maya's chest. The darkness recoiled as if burned by sunlight, its form wavering and distorting.

"Maya!" Mia's voice rang out clearly now, cutting through the chaos like a beacon of hope. "You are stronger than this! Remember who you are, remember our bond!"

With renewed determination, Maya opened her eyes and faced the shadowy figure head-on. "You have no power here!" she declared, her voice steady and strong. "I call upon my sister's love and the strength of the Fey clan!"

The light intensified around them, pushing back against the darkness until it shattered like glass. The malevolent entity let out an anguished wail before vanishing completely, leaving behind only a faint echo of its presence.

As suddenly as it had begun, it was over. The room returned to its calm state; the candles reignited themselves as if nothing had happened at all. Maya fell to her knees, breathing heavily while Phoenix knelt beside her, his arms wrapped protectively around her shoulders.

"Are you okay?" he asked softly, concern etched across his face.

Maya nodded slowly, still looking shaken. "I... I think so. That was... not what I expected."

"You really scared me there," Phoenix admitted with a nervous chuckle, relief evident in his voice.

Maya took a deep breath and smiled faintly through her tears. "I just wanted to connect with Mia... I didn't mean for it to go so wrong. But in a way, I think it worked. I felt her, Nick. She was here, protecting me."

As they sat together in silence for a moment, Maya felt a sense of clarity wash over her. "I need to be more careful," she said finally. "But I also know now that Mia is always with me—watching over me, even when I can't see her."

Phoenix nodded in agreement, giving her shoulder a gentle squeeze. "And I'll always be here for you too, Maya. No matter what."

"What is the meaning of this?"

The sudden appearance of a third voice surprised them both out of their moment. They looked up in shock.

Phoenix Wright blinked in confusion as he suddenly found himself in a spacious, unfamiliar room. Just moments ago, he had been standing with Maya in the Fey Manor, recovering from their harrowing spiritual encounter. Now, they were somewhere entirely different.

"Nick?" Maya's voice was tinged with uncertainty. "What just happened? Where are we?"

Phoenix shook his head, equally bewildered. "I have no idea, Maya. This doesn't make any sense."

As they took in their surroundings, they realized they weren't alone. Scattered around the room were familiar faces - fellow attorneys, prosecutors, detectives, and friends they had encountered over the years.

Miles Edgeworth stood near a window, his arms crossed and brow furrowed in thought. Detective Gumshoe scratched his head, looking as confused as ever. Franziska von Karma gripped her whip tightly, her eyes darting around the room suspiciously. Even Larry Butz was there, his mouth agape as he spun in circles, trying to take everything in. The rest were people they didn't recognize, staying apart awkwardly.

"Edgeworth?" Phoenix called out, drawing his rival's attention. "Do you have any idea what's going on?"

The prosecutor shook his head. "I'm afraid not, Wright. One moment I was in my office, the next I found myself here. It's most... disconcerting."

Maya tugged on Phoenix's sleeve. "Nick, look! Even Pearly is here!" She pointed to her young cousin, who was clutching her robes and looking around with wide eyes.

As the initial shock wore off, the room began to buzz with confused chatter. Everyone was trying to piece together how they had ended up in this strange place and why they had been brought together.

"This is highly irregular!" Franziska declared, cracking her whip for emphasis. "I demand an explanation at once!"

"Now, now, let's all calm down," came the soothing voice of Judge. He stood near the center of the room, his beard quivering as he spoke. "There must be a logical explanation for all of this."

Phoenix nodded in agreement, though he felt far from calm. "The Judge is right. We need to approach this rationally. Has anyone noticed anything unusual about this room? Any clues as to where we are or how we got here?"

As the group began to examine their surroundings more closely, Phoenix couldn't shake the feeling that something truly extraordinary was happening. Whatever had brought them all together like this, he was certain it would lead to more troubles than it's worth. He turned around to talk with Maya when he saw her crying, looking at something in the distance.

"Maya?"

Maya's eyes suddenly widened in shock. Her gaze fixed on a point across the room, and her voice trembled as she spoke.

"M-Mia?" Maya stuttered, her face a mixture of disbelief and hope. "Is that really you?"

The group turned to follow Maya's line of sight. There, standing among them, was Mia Fey - not as a channeled spirit, but seemingly alive and in the flesh.

Mia smiled warmly at her sister. "Hello, Maya. It seems we've all found ourselves in quite an unusual situation."

Maya rushed forward, tears welling in her eyes as she embraced her sister tightly. "But how? You... you died. I found you in the office. How are you here?"

Phoenix watched the scene unfold, his own shock evident on his face. "Mia? But this doesn't make any sense. You've been gone for months. We've only been able to speak to you through Maya's channeling."

Mia gently patted Maya's back as she addressed the group. "I'm as confused as all of you. The last thing I remember was being in my office, and then suddenly I was here, alive and well."

The revelation sent a ripple of murmurs through the gathered characters. Even those who hadn't known Mia personally understood the significance of her apparent resurrection.

"Well," Phoenix said, running a hand through his spiky hair, "it seems we have even more mysteries to solve than we thought. Not only do we need to figure out why we're all here, but now we need to understand how Mia is alive again."

Mia nodded, her smile taking on a hint of determination. "Yes, it would seem so. This isn't just a strange occurrence, it's a veritable miracle."

Edgeworth, ever skeptical, spoke up, his arms crossed as he approached the front of the room.

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Miracles are rare, and it's possible there's a more mundane explanation to all of this."

Maya wiped her eyes, still clinging to her sister. "I don't care how it happened. I'm just so happy you're here, sis."

As the group began to discuss this new development, the atmosphere in the room shifted from confusion to a mix of hope and determination. Whatever force had brought them all together - including bringing Mia back to life - was clearly more powerful and mysterious than any of them had imagined.

As Phoenix and Maya took in the unfamiliar surroundings, a sudden burst of energy surged through the room. The air shimmered, and with it came a bright, energetic voice that cut through the confusion.

"Hey! You guys made it!"

Phoenix turned to see a girl with a playful grin and bright eyes bounding into the room. She wore a distinctive hat and had an air of confidence about her.

"Who are you?" Maya asked, tilting her head in confusion.

The girl stopped short, her expression shifting from excitement to surprise. "What? You don’t know who I am?" She placed her hands on her hips, puffing out her chest proudly. "I’m Kay Faraday, the ace detective and master thief! Well, sort of."

Phoenix exchanged a glance with Maya. "We’ve never met you before," he admitted. "But it seems like you’re just as confused as we are."

Kay’s eyes widened. "Wait, you mean you all got pulled into this too? I thought I was the only one!"

Maya stepped closer, intrigued. "So you were just… somewhere else before this?"

"Yeah! One minute I was at my office, and then—bam! I’m here with all of you!" Kay exclaimed, looking around at the gathering of familiar faces—Miles Edgeworth, Detective Gumshoe, Franziska von Karma, and even Larry Butz.

"This is bizarre," Phoenix said, furrowing his brow. "We were trying to figure out how we all ended up here."

Kay nodded excitedly, her eyes shimmering with curiosity. "So was I! There’s got to be a reason we were all brought together like this, right? We need to figure it out."

Edgeworth spoke up then, a frown on his face. "While I agree that we need to find some answers, we can’t just rush into anything without proper planning."

Kay nodded enthusiastically. "Well, if I had to guess, it’s some kind of weird dimensional crossover or maybe something related to spirit mediums? You know how things get in our world!"

Maya felt a flicker of recognition at the mention of spirit mediums but quickly shook it off. "We were trying to connect with my sister Mia’s spirit when everything went wrong."

Kay’s expression turned serious as she processed this information. "So you think this is connected to that?"

"It’s possible," Phoenix replied, glancing at the others who were still processing their surroundings. "But we need to figure out why we’re all here and if there’s a way back."

Just then, Miles Edgeworth stepped forward, his expression as stoic as ever. "If this is indeed a result of Maya's ritual, then we must approach this situation with caution. There may be forces at play that we do not yet understand."

Franziska crossed her arms and eyed Kay suspiciously. "And what are you doing here, thief? This is hardly a time for games."

Kay pouted slightly but quickly regained her composure. "Hey! I’m not just a thief! I’m an ace detective too! And if anyone can help figure this out, it’s me!"

Detective Gumshoe scratched his head in confusion. "Yeah! If we all work together, maybe we can find a way back home!"

Maya felt a renewed sense of hope as she looked around at her friends and allies. "Right! We’ve faced tough challenges before; we can do this together!"

As they began brainstorming ideas and sharing their experiences leading up to their arrival in the mysterious room, Phoenix felt a sense of unity among them all. Each character brought their unique skills and perspectives to the table. The air hummed with a mix of excitement and determination as everyone continued to discuss their situation. Ideas were thrown around about what could be the cause of their strange predicament.

Larry Butz, ever the comedian, chimed in with a grin. "Maybe we’ve been kidnapped by aliens!"

"We have not been abducted by aliens, Larry," Phoenix responded, rolling his eyes. "This isn’t a Sci-Fi movie."

Mia chuckled at Larry’s remark, shaking her head at his antics. "No, I don’t believe it’s aliens…"

At that moment, Franziska, who had been silently observing the conversation, interrupted, her voice cutting through the chatter. "This is all well and good, but how are we supposed to determine the cause of all this? Unless someone here has some hidden mystical abilities, we’re all clueless.”

Kay suddenly perked up again. "What if we look for clues? There has to be something in this room that can help us understand what’s going on!"

"Good idea," Phoenix agreed. "But first, we need to know who's who."

"Ah, you're right! I forgot about that part. Oopsie!" said Kay, scratching her head.

As the group settled into their surroundings, Phoenix Wright felt the weight of uncertainty hanging in the air. He glanced around at the eclectic mix of faces—some familiar, some not—and decided it was time to break the ice.

"Okay, everyone," he said, raising his voice slightly to gather attention. "Since we're all here together and clearly in a strange situation, let’s take a moment to introduce ourselves. We should know who we’re working with."

Maya nodded in agreement, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm despite the oddity of their circumstances. "Yeah! It’ll help us figure things out better!"

Phoenix gestured to the nearest person, Maya. "I’ll start. I’m Phoenix Wright, defense attorney. I’ve been through a lot of cases and adventures with my friends here."

Maya Fey chimed in, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "Hi everyone! I'm Maya Fey, spirit medium and Phoenix's assistant! I love food and the Steel Samurai!"

Miles Edgeworth stepped forward next, his expression serious. "Miles Edgeworth, prosecutor. I have a reputation for being thorough and relentless in my pursuit of justice."

Detective Gumshoe scratched his head, looking a bit flustered. "Uh, right! I’m Detective Dick Gumshoe! I work with the police department and… uh, I’m here to help!."

Larry Butz bounced on his feet. "The name's Larry Butz! Phoenix's best friend since high school!"

Franziska von Karma crossed her arms, her whip tapping against her leg impatiently. "Franziska von Karma, prosecutor and master of whip control. I expect nothing less than excellence from all of you. Don't waste my time."

The Judge nodded from his place near the center of the room. "I am... well, I'm the Judge. I preside over most of these people's trials."

Mia Fey stepped forward with a warm smile. "Mia Fey, former defense attorney and Maya's sister."

Manfred von Karma glared at the group with an air of superiority. "Manfred von Karma. Perfection is everything in court."

Ema Skye adjusted her glasses nervously. "Ema Skye here! Forensic investigator in training!"

Lana Skye stood tall beside her sister. "Lana Skye, former Chief Prosecutor."

Damon Gant leaned casually against a wall, a smirk on his face. "Damon Gant, former police chief. Ready for some fun?"

Pearl Fey clutched her robes tightly as she introduced herself. "I’m Pearl Fey! I can channel spirits too!"

Maggey Byrde waved shyly. "Maggey Byrde, former police officer. Nice to meet you all!"

Adrian Andrews stepped forward with a serious expression. "Adrian Andrews. I'm a manager... and a bit lost here."

Diego Armando smirked from the back of the room. "Diego Armando. Some of you might know me as Godot."

Iris looked around nervously but managed to speak up. "I'm Iris... it's complicated."

Apollo Justice stood nervously with his arms crossed, a determined look in his eyes. "I’m Apollo Justice! I’m still in high school and training to become a defense attorney one day!"

Clay Terran stood beside him, his enthusiasm infectious. "And I’m Clay Terran! I want to be an astronaut! I’ve always dreamed of exploring space and discovering new worlds!"

Kristoph Gavin leaned against a wall with an air of confidence. "Kristoph Gavin, defense attorney. Charmed, I'm sure."

Trucy Wright jumped in with excitement. "Trucy Wright, magician extraordinaire and Phoenix's daughter!"

"Daughter?!" "Sush!"

Klavier Gavin flashed a charming smile as he introduced himself. "Klavier Gavin here! I’m a prosecutor in training and a musician. Though I’m still in high school like these two, I aim to make my mark in the courtroom as a rock star prosecutor! Achtung, baby!"

Thalassa Gramarye smiled warmly at everyone present. "Lamiroir, singer."

Vera Misham looked around shyly but spoke up softly. "Vera Misham... I'm an artist..."

Sebastian Debeste stepped forward, adjusting his conductor's baton with a confident smirk. "I am Sebastian Debeste, the best prosecutor there is! You can count on me to conduct this orchestra of justice!"

Justine Courtney followed, her demeanor calm and composed. "I am Justine Courtney, judge of the P.I.C. and advocate of the Goddess of Law. I shall ensure that justice is served fairly and without bias."

Kay Faraday grinned widely as she introduced herself again. "Kay Faraday! The Great Thief Yatagarasu—well, sort of! … but I promise I can help solve this mystery!"

When it came time for Kay to introduce herself again, she leaned in closer to Phoenix and Maya. "So… how do you guys know each other? You seem pretty close!"

Maya grinned widely. "Phoenix is like an older brother to me! He helped me through a lot when Mia passed away."

"Yeah," Phoenix added, glancing at Maya with warmth in his eyes. "We’ve been through a lot together."

Edgeworth raised an eyebrow at this exchange but said nothing.

Just then, Gumshoe spoke up again. “So… what do we do now? We can’t just stand here!”

As they continued around the room, Phoenix felt a sense of unity among them all despite the confusion of their circumstances.

"Well," he said after everyone had introduced themselves, looking around at the gathered group with determination in his eyes, "that's quite a crowd we have here. Now let’s figure out why we’ve all been brought together and what this strange place is."

As if answering their question, a big screen on the wall light up with the words : PHOENIX WRIGHT : ACE ATTORNEY
