"I didn't know they sold "Pockys" in Sam's store, let alone in Twisted Wonderland," Yûken commented as he opened a package of said sweets and extracted one.
"A what?" Grim asked as he took the stick and took a bite, starting to taste the taste of milk chocolate.
"Pocky," Yûken repeated as he took out another stick from the package and bit it.
"Ah, this. They have always been selling them, but here we call them "Mikado", y’know?”, Deuce replied before grabbing one of the strawberry-flavored sticks from his package and holding it between his teeth, and then getting up from the lawn and heading a few steps further to lie down.
"Wasn't that a game?"
Before Deuce answered him, Ace approached his friends running in a hurry, smiling.
"I'm already here! Forgive me it took so long, but you know how Mr. Crewel is with his scolding," he apologized as he sat next to Yû. “What are you doing?”
"We were talking about the "Pockys" we bought at Sam's store," Grim replied as he took another stick and ate it.
"Ah, the Mikados!" Ace exclaimed. “What did you call them, Yû?”
The boy sighed before denying several times, convinced that it didn't matter if he explained it to him, he would end up calling him the way he had always known them.
"Nothing. Do you want one?” -asked Yûken as he extended the package to the redhead.
"Uhm, okay," he replied as he took one and held it between his teeth, eating it little by little. “Do you have strawberry-flavored Mikados?”
"Deuce is eating the last one," Grim replied as he climbed on Yû's shoulders, trying to steal not a stick, but the entire box.
Ace looked at his partner, lying a couple of steps further and with his eyes closed, so he stood up, and with stealth, approached him.
"What do you intend to do?" Yû asked.
The Trappola put a finger on his lips and smiled before kneeling in front of Deuce's crown. Slowly, he approached his partner's face, and suddenly, he opened his mouth and split the stick with his teeth, managing to get a part to his mouth.
Quickly, he walked away from Deuce, who got up while blushing.
"Ace!" Deuce squealed as he turned to his partner, who was chewing his half of the strawberry pocky. “What were you doing?”
"You were eating a sweet of my favorite flavor, and I couldn't help but play a trick on you to try it," Ace commented after swallowing the candy.
"You could have asked me for half, there was no need to kiss me in progress!"
The other three present there were silent, processing what Deuce had just said.
"Have I kissed you? Well, I haven't even noticed” Ace shrugged as he turned around and added: “It must have been a small miscalculation, but I haven't done it on purpose, Juice”.
"It's Deuce!" exclaimed the bluish-haired one before sighing and lying down again.
For his part, Yûken looked at Ace, who sat next to him with the tips of his ears red. An idea crossed his mind, and wanting to play a joke on his friends, he said:
"Do you know? Where I come from, November eleventh, like today, is "Pocky Day", in which people buy these sweets and use them as an excuse to kiss the people they like under the pretext of playing a game like "He who leaves first, loses", you know?”
Both Deuce and Ace looked at their friend, who only laughed before adding:
"I was just joking, of course Ace hasn't done it on purpose, he's not that stupid."
That only made both blush more, which caused Yûken's laughter to be more sonorous.
