“Well HELLLLLO everyone!” Jack sang, after
dragging them from their rooms, kicking and screaming
rounding up a small gang. “I have a marvelous idea! Electrifying, if you will.”
Brianna was worse for wear, hair wild and eyes drooping. Bug was attempting to blend into the wall, even with Jack lifting him by the back of his shirt like a kitten.
Drake was…being Drake. A sweating mess, eyes darting around, gaze lingering on the wooden block Jack cradled in his other hand. He looked like he was going to explode in a cloud of foul words, but after having all his guns ripped out of his hands and thrown out of a building, he wasn't going to tempt fate once more.
Jack made a grand show of gesturing to the small truck they were using, his whole body alight with eager rage, a usual emotion. “GET IN, WE'RE GOING TO THE BEAAAACH!” Poor Bug was dangling, his body swaying in the air; he looked like he was going to scream.
The leader nearly threw the door off its hinges, body twitching like the time that he had stalked through the academy in search of…whoever damaged his wooden block. He had nearly mauled Drake specifically until new information was revealed, being that Jack had simply dropped his precious Mousey in his sleep.
Drake did not get an apology, but he did find shrimp alfredo in the cabinets for a week. Bug was over the moon.
In the current time, Jack wasted no time in carelessly shoving everyone into the car, before getting into the driver’s seat. The car shuddered to life, similar to a coughing baby vs an atomic bomb. Engine still cold, the boy nearly crushed the gas pedal, sending it barreling out the gate.
Frederico watched in abject horror as the gate was smashed in two by mankind’s hatred, also known as a car. He mourned the loss of his job, waddling off sadly.
The car ride was painfully quiet. Jack's fingers tightened on the steering wheel, his leg bouncing even when pressing on the gas.
Brianna was the first to speak. “...Jack?” she questioned softly.
“Hm?”
“... we're not going to the beach, are we?”
“Haha! NO!” Jack sounded joyful, like an owner to a dog that had just performed a trick. “What gave it away?”
Drake in the back with Bug, the younger boy fading into the passenger seat. Mourning the loss of his Shrimp Alfredo, Bug couldn't offer any comfort.
Jack seemed to be taking the bumpiest route possible, Brianna clutching onto her seat belt for the little life she had. “Haha…just kidding.”
The car jolted to the right, over a ditch. The car soared onto a path to Perdido Beach
Nobody said a word.
“Whoopsies.” Jack whispered, finally being merciful and taking a smoother path. A curve to the left, the right, and Jack carelessly motioned to the back. “Open the red bag.”
After rummaging around, Bug regained some color in his face. “SHR-”
“If you explode, I'm going to bury you in concrete.”
“ₛₕᵣᵢₘₚ ₐₗբᵣₑₔₒ; ᵥᵥₐₐₐₐₐₐₐₐₕₕₕₕₐₐₐₐₐₕₐ… ” Bug sang quietly, cradling the pasta close.
Drake started to kick his feet aimlessly. Without any source of outside stimulation, he was lulled to sleep. After Jack’s little tantrum two days ago, being sent to chart making duty had its toll on the teenager.
They turned into Perdido Beach, eyes of the other children lingering on the vehicle as it passed by. The speed of the car was too great, they whizzed by anyone who could have had half a thought of stopping them. Rolling through a well smoothed path, the gang slowed when approaching the sandy bank.
Jack happily jumped out, wearing Mousey around his neck like the weight of a prisoner. “Alright campers, today it's a beach day!”. The area around them was empty, save for a few crustaceans. Likely, everyone dipped the moment they saw Jack and Drake.
“Yippee…”
It was awkward, Jack making sandcastles while Drake and Bug fought over the shrimp alfredo, or Alfred 2. Brianna sat, occasionally wading off into the water to stare off into the distance and ponder what life choices brought her into Coates Academy.
A blob of sand hit the back of her head, she slowly turned around to stare at Drake. The boy had sandy hands.
He could not run fast enough, her foot making contact with his back. He flew several feet, rolling to a stop in front of Jack’s castle. His foot smashed the beautiful building.
Jack waited for two seconds before starting his assault.
They had so much fun!!!
