Chapter 1: do i look like a boy mama

Chapter Text

Obsy Lopez was having a good day.

Soccer practice had just ended. She walked home, sports bag hanging over her shoulder. She opened her rusty, old door and walked into her rinky dink home.

”Mom, I’m home!” Obsy called out, taking her shoes off and setting them off to the side. She threw her bag on the floor, walking over to her kitchen. The old floorboards creaked under her feet. Nobody had answered her earlier call. Was her mom not home?

The dim, flickering light in the kitchen showed Obsy that her mom was, indeed, home.

”Ah, Obsy! Something came in the mail for you today…” Obsy’s mother handed her a thick letter, which had Obsy’s name printed on the front. Obsy frowned at the letter, sitting down before grabbing it.

“For me? Are you sure?” Obsy questioned, opening the envelope cautiously.

”Is there any other Obsy Lopez here?”

”Whatever.”

She opened the envelope, pulling the letter out.

To: Obsy Lopez

(i forgot what the letter says in canon so we ball)

Obsy Lopez, we have recognized your amazing soccer skills and want to invite you to our sketchy facility, Blue Lock!

You will have no freedoms here. Please come.

What the fuck? What that mean? Obsy almost scoffed at how ridiculous the letter was.

”Is this serious?” Obsy tossed the letter on the table, eyeing her mom.

”Oh, dear! I think it’s an amazing opportunity!” Obsy’s mom beamed at her.

”You’d seriously let me stay at a… facility?” Obsy grimaced.

”…I mean…? One mouth less to feed…?”

”We’re not that broke, right?” Obsy looked around their broken-down house.

”…nevermind! Don’t answer that.”

Obsy didn’t feel like continuing the conversation with her mom, so she went to her room. Before departing, however, she made sure to grab the letter.

Once in her room, she flopped down on her dirt floor. (She didn’t have a mattress.) She laid on her back, arms stretched skyward with the letter in her hands.

Blue Lock… how interesting. Obsy’s mind raced as she reread the letter over and over again.

However, she caught sight of an important detail she missed.

Male-only facility. Parents will not have to worry about hormone-induced activities.

Male… only?

Obsy wasn’t a boy.

She didn’t look like one.

Did she?

”MOM!!!” She yelled, running out of her room and into the kitchen once again. Her mon stared at her with panicked eyes, half-standing up from her chair.

”What’s wrong??” Her mom asked, concern etched into the wrinkles of her face.

”Do I look like a boy??!”
