There were a couple of days left for the car to be ready and leave to face the kingdom of Tsukasa, that was why Ruri began to pray alone to the river every night before sleeping to ask the gods to protect the village along with all its inhabitants, but on one particular night she heard strange moans of pain in the science hut where only Senku was resting.
Without thinking much she climbed the stairs and entered the young man's room being surprised with the image that was before her eyes, it was evident that Senku could not sleep even though it was almost midnight, he was shaking while a couple of drops of sweat fell on his forehead, Ruri was worried to see his state and was ready to go down to look for help, however, she felt a weak grip on her dress taking her by surprise, it was there that she understood the situation, Senku was having a nightmare.
She sat next to him placing her hand on his hand while she saw him in a vulnerable state that he always hid before other people, but if Ruri had learned something in that time, it was that Senku was an extremely sensitive person who cared about the welfare of everyone including his enemies, that was what she admired most about him.
He began to gently stroke her hair as he sang a soft lullaby he had learned from his mother

Slowly Senku's breathing began to regulate which brought a smile to Ruri's face as she continued her singing

She wasn't an expert in science let alone mastered the battlefield like her sister, but her ancestors passed on to her the gift of song, insight and above all resilience as well as calm in the midst of the storm, Senku had saved her life and was in charge of keeping everyone safe in the village, so he would do his part by guarding their dreams and watching over their calm

Ruri stayed humming for a few more minutes until Senku drifted into a deep sleep, She stroked his hair one last time and tucked him in and then quietly drifted off knowing that she had achieved her goal
It had been a couple of days since Chrome had been captured so Senku slept alone at the base during those nights, several people tried to convince him to sleep under the same roof as his wife Ruri since he was also the village chief and he refused every offer made to him since, according to his words, he preferred to have his personal space, although he certainly preferred to sleep in company after having been alone for 3700 years, but he would never admit it out loud.

The next morning Senku was in the lab going over the plans to make sure everything was in order
- Good morning Senkuuu, did you have a musical night - asked Gen with a smile while entering the lab
- What are you talking about illusionist - she questioned without looking at him
- Yesterday I heard a melodious voice and I thought maybe you couldn't resist listening to Lilian's wonderful voice before going to sleep
- Hm? As if I had time to do something as childish as that, stop talking nonsense and come here so we can start working, there are still many things to do.
After a couple of complaints from Gen and they both got down to work for the rest of the afternoon.
Ruri headed to the observatory to get a couple of tools she needed but stopped for a moment near the lab when she heard someone humming
- I know that tune.... It's from a nursery rhyme, what was the name of it? It had to do with stars," commented Gen who was taking a break.
- The Seven Stars of the North, I've never been particularly fond of nursery rhymes, but it certainly has its charm," Senku replied with a faint smile on his lips and Ruri was happy to hear it.
- "I'm glad you got some rest, Senkuu," she thought to herself and continued on her way.
