look at me, i don't care

Summary:

Beomgyu may be in love with Yeonjun, but he wasn't an idiot. He still saw the flaws the older possessed, and how stubborn he can be.

"Yah! Where are you going?"

With his hands stuffed in his jacket pocket, Beomgyu internally sighed before turning back around to face the other. "Back to my dorm. You should probably get back to my brother anyways, he'll be looking for you any minute now."

"But you called--"

"Yeah, I called in hopes you'll open your eyes and realize what's going on. Realize your real feelings. You aren't ready for the truth, though. So, I'm heading back to play some games with Heesung and Eunseok before it gets too late."

Notes:

🦊🧸 Prompt BM032: Choi Beomgyu, his college's sweetheart and beauty, is in love with his older brother Soobin's boyfriend, Yeonjun.

Chapter 1: to or to not care...

Chapter Text

"What are you doing?"

"Trying to sabotage his brother's relationship." Taeyang answered Hanbin as if Beomgyu would have any other reason to sign up to join the Nayeon's performance group for their college's upcoming summer festival.

Rolling his eyes, Beomgyu turned to his closest friends. "I'm signing up because I promised Minjung I would. I stopped caring about his relationship a long time ago."

"Then why was Eunseok complaining earlier about you ditching him and Heesung?" The shortest of the three questioned.

"Because he was out being second choice," Hanbin mumbled. Upset, Beomgyu gave them a soft glare before turning and walking away. Taeyang and Hanbin gave him a few seconds to himself before they shared a sighed and jogged to catch up with their stubborn best friend.

"You know I hate when you say that." Beomgyu pouted, refusing to look at either boy.

"Beoms, he choseㅡ"

"I know," the oldest of the trio groaned. "Doesn't mean I can't win him back."

"There is no winning back. Shouldn't you be happy for your brother?" Hanbin asked, tossing his bag against the tree to use as a pillow.

"He doesn't love him." Beomgyu confessed, as if it were his own secret. "He's never loved him."

Taeyang and Hanbin didn't know how to respond to the strong conviction dripping from their friend's statement. Luckily, Eunseok and Heesung arrived to their meeting spot just then.

"Oh, so you'll ditch us but not them?" Heesung joked, plopping down in-between the two who were just talking, as Eunseok took the spot across from him next to Taeyang who failed at warning Heesung over Beomgyu's current mood.

"I didn't ditch anyone. I fell asleep early last night."

Beomgyu wasn't lying either.

The previous night his older brother, Soobin, called him. At first, he thought the older called to check in on him, hence he answered. If he knew ahead of time Soobin was calling to gush about his recent date, then Beomgyu would've sent the call to voicemail and texted Soobin later that night. Well aware that his brother wouldn't have responded until the next morning.

Instead, he listened to Soobin talk for two hours, simply responding with a few hums and "wow, that's great hyung!". Unfortunately Soobin caught on to how his brother was acting, and immediately asked him what was bothering him. Thanks to the long call, Beomgyu could convincingly tell Soobin that he was tired after a long day. After that, Soobin bid goodnight, but not before reminding the younger to text him more, and hung up.

Beomgyu wanted to hop on his computer and join the two in their usual game night, but he had zero energy. He closed his eyes for a brief moment, hoping a short nap would energize him to play with Heesung and Eunseok. Instead, he ended up sleeping through the night.

"Bin-hyung called, so I had to listen. And you know he tends to yap away when it's something that excites him," Beomgyu found no reason to lie to them.

Not that he would any other time.

"He signed up for Minjung's dance group," Hanbin suddenly shared to change the topic (and atmosphere) to something lighter. "Going to be fun watching just the two of them."

"Two?" Eunseok asked, if it were the most absurd comment he heard all day. "Nayeon and Ryujin signed up too."

"Well, we saw Nayeon signing her and Ryujin's name at least. Who knows whether Ryujin knows if she's involved," Heesung added.

"Wonder what Minjung could have in mind."

"Clearly to draw a huge crowd if she wants Beomgyu involved," Taeyang commented, leaning back on his hands to remove his face out of direct sunlight. "All the girls are drawn to his sweet nature, and the guys want to get into his pants. Why else would she bully the college's sweetheart?"

The other four shared glances, hoping someone could answer the rhetorical question. But, nothing. Not even Beomgyu himself had a good argument.

"Good classes today?"

No matter how badly Beomgyu wanted to roll his eyes at the basic question, he still found himself softly smiling due to who's asking.

"I guess, I just got assigned some papers due before summer break."

On the other end of the phone could be heard the person clearing their throat.

This time, Beomgyu did roll his eyes.

"Hyung," he belatedly added.

"Nothing else happened?" Although they weren't on video call, the older knew Beomgyu was about to shake his head. "So, you didn't sign up for something?"

"How do you know about that?" Beomgyu questioned with a little glare that the other still couldn't see, but did sense.

"Did you forget that Soobin roomed with Zhang Hao?" Yeonjun laughed at the sudden silence. "I'm pretty sure everyone in the city knows you're participating."

To hide his embarrassment, Beomgyu decided to shift the focus to the older Choi. "Why are you so interested? Plan to come watch?"

"Beomgyu," Yeonjun warned, leading the younger to roll his eyes for the fifth time this phone call.

"What? Why else would you want to hear the news from me? Especially if you've already found out from my brother," Beomgyu pushed. "If you weren't even slightly interested then you'd simply bring it up instead of trying to play some game."

"Woah, what's gotten you in a mood?" Yeonjun asked, not fond of the tone in the younger's voice.

"So we're doing this again?" Beomgyu asked instead. "If so, then we can end the conversation here."

"Beomgyu, I mean it. Cutㅡ"

"The attitude," Beomgyu said the same time as Yeonjun. "Yeah, whatever. If you want to see me, text me. Otherwise, don't expect me to answer any of your calls for the rest of the night. Bye."

Without a second thought, Beomgyu ended the call and tossed his phone to the side. Scooting to the end of his bed, he rubbed the sides of his temple with his index fingers. However, that was cut short when his phone started going off.

"Listen, I already told youㅡ"

"Oh, is this a bad time?"

Beomgyu instantly softened at the gentle voice on the other end. "Sorry Minjung, thought you were someone else. Everything okay though?"

"Yeah, I just wanted to see if you want to come by. The girls and I are together and getting ready to plan out the performance. We wanted to include you in the planning process. Of course, if you want to be!"

Beomgyu softly laughed. "I'll be there in five. Unless I need to grab any snacks on my way over?"

"Nana already got some for us, but great! See you soon!" Minjung cheerfully stated before hanging up.

Now, Beomgyu truly didn't want to get out of bed.

This was the perfect opportunity to keep himself busy though. Heesung and Eunseok were doing their own things tonight. Taeyang was working on one of his papers already, so Beomgyu couldn't bother him with a movie marathon yet. Then, Hanbin was busy practicing for his dance assignment, so Beomgyu was positive he'd run into him at some point that night.

Beomgyu also quite enjoyed the girls' company. He was close with Minjung, the two becoming friends freshman year. From hanging out with Minjung so often, he naturally grew close to Nayeon and Ryujin.

That's why he was instantly tackled into a giant group hug the moment he stepped into the practice room. Laughing, he gently patted each of their heads. "Aw, look who missed me."

Minjung was the first to push away from the hug due to his comment. "Nevermind, I don't know why I asked you to be part of this."

"Because you need my beauty for the crowd," Beomgyu said, flipping his hair off his shoulder. His words sounded so serious to the girls' ears, they couldn't decipher if he was joking or not. Not until he laughed, causing all three girls to roll their eyes and return to where there was a high stack of snacks. "How far have you gotten?" He asked, picking the turtle chips bag.

"We've gotten a far selection of songs, but we're unsure what to choose," Nayeon informed, handing the sheet with the list of songs over to him. Beomgyu did a quick look-over, before handing the paper back.

"Do we have a set time limit?"

Minjung shook her head. "I spoke with the committee, and they'll give us as much time as we need. I figured we could just pick one or two songs, and perform them a few times throughout the day so everyone gets a chance to see."

"As if anyone would miss the first performance," Ryujin chimed in, with a smile Beomgyu recognized shows when she was giving indirect compliments. "Any thoughts on which song we should choose?" She directly asked Beomgyu.

"Well, I think we could combine two songs quite well."

"Combine as in half-and-half? Or, do you have something else in mind?"

"I was thinking more having one lead into the other," he explained, before pulling the two songs up to give a rough idea of his thought process.

The girls were instantly on board, leading the four to start practicing right away. The four spent hours in that dance room, that they never felt luckier for the next day to be the weekend.

⊹₊ ˚‧︵‿₊୨୧₊‿︵‧ ˚ ₊⊹

For the past three weeks, Beomgyu kept himself so busy he barely had time to even think about his brother, or his brother's boyfriend. Between his classes and homework, as well as preparing for the festival and spending any other free time with his friends, Beomgyu used the last little bit of time to eat and sleep. It came to a point where Minjung would text Eunseok to drag Beomgyu away from the room.

Eunseok and their friend group clearly knew Beomgyu was doing everything he could to avoid Soobin, and Yeonjun. And, as much as they wished they could help Beomgyu do that, that became impossible when Eunseok and Taeyang saw a concerned Yeonjun waiting outside of Beomgyu's dorm room. Luckily for Beomgyu's sake, they caught sight of him as they turned the corner, and were quick to back up without Yeonjun seeing them.

"Beomgyu," Taeyang whispered yelled to the college senior resting on Eunseok's back. When he noticed little to no movement, Taeyang lightly slapped the boy's back, whispering his name a little louder. "Beomgyu!"

"What?" The tired senior mumbled into the leather jacket beneath.

"Yeonjun is outside your room." The moment those words left Taeyang's mouth, Beomgyu shot awake. His ass would've met the floor if it weren't for Taeyang's quick reflexes.

Eunseok hesitated, grabbing Beomgyu's arm before the taller could round the corner. "Will you be okay?"

Beomgyu nodded. "He's probably here due to Bin-hyung's worrying. I doubt he'll be staying long."

Taeyang and Eunseok knew they'd be foolish to believe this was a quick visit. However, they wouldn't upset their friend, and chose to trust Beomgyu instead.

"Alright, just remember we'll be hanging in mine and Han's room. So, we'll be right over if you need anything," Taeyang assured.

"Thanks guys, but I'll be fine." Beomgyu promised with a feeble smile, tiredness still in his eyes. "See you guys later for his dance final," he said, reminding them the group will be together again in less than 12 hours since they plan to meet up for lunch prior to Hanbin's final project presentation.

Aware his friends wouldn't leave until they saw him make the first step, Beomgyu internally rolled his eyes, still amazed by their behavior, as he headed down the hall to his dorm room. Only a couple steps away, he cleared his throat. "You can go home now. I'm sure Soobin sent you just to make sure I'm still alive."

Yeonjun shot up, ironically surprised to find Beomgyu wasn't on the other side of the door. "Where have you been?"

"Practice." Where else would I be? Beomgyu thought to himself as he inserted his key. "And now, I'm going to sleep. So, goodbye."

"Beomㅡ"

The younger Choi turned and leaned against the door. "Whatever it is, it can wait."

"Why haven't you been answering any of our calls or texts?"

Tired, and growing frustrated, Beomgyu groaned. "I just told youㅡ"

"It couldn't have been just practice," Yeonjun countered, well aware the other knew how familiar he is with late nights at the dance rooms. "Why are you avoiding us?"

Pushing himself off, Beomgyu took a step, closing the gap between them a little more. "I'm not. Between practice and classes, I've been busy."

With a slow nod, Yeonjun took his time to analyze the younger's current expression. Well, that only lasted for a few seconds since a huge basket on the other's desk caught his attention. Moving Beomgyu to the side with his arm, Yeonjun entered the dorm and pointed to the fancy gift. "Who's this from?"

Deciding not to be his hall's entertainment for the night, the tired senior closed the door and sat on his bed. "Why?"

"Because I feel the person behind this is the real reason you've ghosted us."

Beomgyu scoffed, laying back. "You two are so caught up in yourselves, I doubt either of you noticed until the past couples day."

Unamused by his attitude, the tip of Yeonjun's shoe met the side of Beomgyu's ankle. "Cut it out."

"You cut it out." Beomgyu threw back, sitting up again to prevent himself from falling asleep. "Please do share why you're really here."

"To check on you! Like I said, you've been avoiding us. Now, answer my question." Yeonjun pointed to the basket again. "Who sent you this?"

"The guy I share this bed with on weekendsㅡ Ow! Stop kicking me. I've got performances to do in two days."

"Then stop being a brat and answer my question."

"Why does it matter to you? Mm?" Beomgyu taunted, getting up to be toe-to-toe with the older. "Are you pursuing me? No? Then it's none of your business."

"I truly don't understand how everyone else on campus can't see how much of a stubborn brat you are." Yeonjun mumbled with a shake of the head.

Beomgyu had been their college's sweetheart since the younger was a freshman. All students flocked to him, and all professors adored him as Beomgyu never hesitated to help set up class material, or run errands. It didn't matter what Soobin or Yeonjun told their friends about how Beomgyu really is. Nobody ever believed them, which was ironic considering one was his older brother and the other knew him since elementary school.

"Because I'm nice," the younger reminded, softly snaking his arms around the older's waist. "If you really want to know who sent me this then come by the festival."

"Beomsㅡ"

"All my admirers will be there with their gifts," he continued, now resting his head right by the crook of Yeonjun's neck. "So many handsome guys wanting to give me their number. Only for me to turn them down because I've got my eyes on someone else."

"Maybeㅡ.. Maybe you should give them a chance." Yeonjun coughed out as Beomgyu's weight fell further against him.

Beomgyu softly hummed. "Sure, if that's what hyung wants," he whispered, before slightly turning his head to meet the older's eyes. "Is that what you want, hyung? Do you want to see me with somebody else?" With his eyes flickering back down to Yeonjun's neck, Beomgyu leant slightly up to place a gentle kiss to the older's cheek. "See me fall for someone who isn't you, and get loved on by them instead, hm?"

Holding Beomgyu close, Yeonjun ignored the butterflies that continued to appear all these years from the younger in his space. "You deserve happiness."

"Come to my performance, that'll make me happy," Beomgyu promised, voice getting lower as sleep slowly took over.

"I already promised Binnie that I'd take him out, and the last place he'd want to be is here." Yeonjun instantly cringed at his comment, realizing Beomgyu may take his words wrong. He knew Soobin loved supporting the younger, and would drop everything in order to be a one-man audience for his brother. However, Yeonjun knew his boyfriend always reluctantly joined him when it came to returning to campus.

"If being with him is so important then why are you here and not back at your apartment with him?" Beomgyu argued, slowly reaching his annoyed-sleepy state. "If you love him so much then leave."

With a quiet deep breath, Yeonjun carefully led them over to the younger's bed. "Come, let's get you to bed."

"Just so you leave in the morning and make me feel like a mistress? No thanks." He mumbled, breaking away from Yeonjun's hold and laying towards the wall. "Just go." Beomgyu threw the blanket over his head, knowing he'd be asleep with the next five minutes once Yeonjun left.

Sleep came sooner for him, since Yeonjun tossed his hoodie off and joined the younger in bed. Beomgyu continued to have his back towards Yeonjun, refusing to allow the older think he'd be putty in his hands. Unfortunately for him, Yeonjun was aware of all Beomgyu's tricks and decided it wasn't worth going through one of the college senior's tired tantrums right now. Instead, he scooted closer with an arm draped over Beomgyu's side, and held the tired boy close against his chest.

"Get some sleep. In the morning, I'll walk you to meet your friends."

Beomgyu wanted to argue how that's what a boyfriend would do. Far too exhausted, he let himself be held for the night, and drifted away into dream land.

⊹₊ ˚‧︵‿₊୨୧₊‿︵‧ ˚ ₊⊹

The following morning, Yeonjun kept his word and walked Beomgyu to the meeting spot. Honestly, Beomgyu expected to be the last person to arrive considering he didn't have it in him to wake Yeonjun. He also expected the playful glints in their eyes, and instantly wanted to run away.

"When they told us he visited you, I didn't think that meant he'd stay over," Hanbin commented as Beomgyu slid into the booth.

"Nothing happened right?" Heesung quietly asked with a raised brow. "Y'know..."

"I may be in love with him, and think they don't deserve each other, but I'd never help him cheat on my brother. I wouldn't go that low."

"How low would you go?" Eunseok feared what was to come out Beomgyu's mouth next. Although, he got more scared when only his question received was a shrug.

""Again, why else do you think he agreed to perform with the girls tomorrow?" Taeyang challenged, brushing the dark hair strands out his face. "It's not just because Minjun begged him. He's up to something."

"I'm up to nothing." Beomgyu stressed, feeling wronged even if his friends were partly right. "I'm simply helping one of my friends out."

"Sure.." Eunseok sat back with crossed arms. "Is he coming tomorrow?"

His lips slightly twitched, a faint mischievous smile appearing. "We'll see." Picking up the menu, his eyes instantly went to the drinks section. "Anyways, we should probably order."

The other three looked towards Hanbin for help with their stubborn friend. With a small shake of the head, he signaled for them to let it go for now. Silently all agreeing with him, Heesung started a conversation about the dishes. Surprisingly, the five weren't all that hungry, and decided on sharing a handful of dishes, instead of getting their own plates.

With his love life no longer a topic, lunch was a fun time as the five joked around. A couple times they spoke about the rough final assignments they submitted the past week. They tried to avoid asking Hanbin anything since they noticed he was stressed enough over his finals.

The friend group didn't understand his extreme nerves. Especially once they saw his two performances that evening. They knew how hard he had practiced, staying extra hours the past week. Whenever Eunseok wasn't finding a helping hand to drag Beomgyu back, Taeyang was busy dragging Hanbin back to their shared dorm room. When Beomgyu found out about the latter's state, he scolded Hanbin for not taking care of himself.

As expected, Hanbin gave it right back to Beomgyu.

Rather than them simply cutting back on overworking their bodies, Beomgyu and Hanbin would send each other check-in texts throughout their late nights. If they were nowhere near their phones, then they'd knock on the wall as their practice rooms were right next to each other.

That night, the five went out for a celebratory dinner with the girls joining them. Ryujin and Hanbin were in the same class, thus Beomgyu invited the girls to come along and they could celebrate the two dance seniors together.

Perhaps, he found this as an excuse to get them (him and the girls) to do one more run-through that night too. The moment the words dripped from his lips, he was met with instant "no"s and Minjung threatening to have Eunseok and Heesung hold him hostage in their dorm until morning. For a split second, he thought about sneaking into the practice room on his own, but Minjung was quick to read his mind and shut that down too.

To save face, Beomgyu huffed and begrudgingly followed his friend groups back to the dorm. Anyone on the outside would assume Beomgyu was someone of high importance as the seven of them (happily chatting away together) surrounded Beomgyu to prevent any chance of him escaping.

When it came time to separate, Minjung stared down Eunseok and made him swear on his life that Beomgyu wouldn't be in that practice room until morning for their final meet. Seeing how frightened Eunseok was by her threat, Beomgyu and the guys had trouble strifling their laughs. Well, until her glare settled on them, so the four instantly stood with better posture, leading Ryujin and Nayeon to openly laugh.

Once on their floor, Beomgyu asked for Eunseok to wait before heading back. He quickly grabbed his packed bag from his room, before returning to the hall and ensuring the door was locked.

"What's that for?"

"Staying with you and Hee tonight," Beomgyu replied, assuming it was obvious.

"I figured that, but you didn't even pack." Eunseok pointed out the quickness of the other's visit. "So, what's in the bag?"

"I prepacked." Beomgyu chuckled at the confusion shimmering in his friend's eyes. "I had a feeling dinner would go this way. I also don't trust myself, so I put the bag together when we all separated to change after lunch."

Eunseok's mouth opened twice before he settled on keeping any further thoughts to himself. He didn't want to gain a headache trying to understand Beomgyu's mind.

On the way to the room, Beomgyu's pocket kept vibrating. He didn't have to take his phone out to know it was one of two peopleㅡSoobin or Yeonjun. Maybe, even both. However, he didn't have the energy to deal with either of them tonight.

Beomgyu planned to play some games with Eunseok and Heesung for a bit, then get some sleep for his busy day. He found the thought of checking the texts to be draining, and Beomgyu wanted to be in a good headspace. When he had a clear mind before bed, he slept the best. And sleeping the best meant he'd be performing at his best and not letting the girls down.

And, that's exactly how he spent the nightㅡthree hours of Mario Party with Heesung and Eunseok, before they put on a movie and he fell asleep on Heesung's bed.

⊹₊ ˚‧︵‿₊୨୧₊‿︵‧ ˚ ₊⊹

"Calm down."

Nayeon giggled at Minjung's stressed state over Beomgyu bouncing around the dance room.

"Relax, Min, he's just excited to be in a pretty skirt," Nayeon smiled, referring to the cream skater skirt he had on with a pretty (and calm) floral print all over. "Let the boy revel in his beauty."

"Yeah Minnie, let me be pretty." Beomgyu childishly stuck his tongue out before returning to his reflection, loving the way his hair fell a little longer past his shoulder since straightened.

It helped him feel a bit more confident in the plain white off-the-shoulder top the girls threw him in. He didn't understand it, but for some reason his shoulders being exposed had more feel more vulnerable.

Although, he'd happily take this outfit over Minjung's dress.

The dress was quite pretty in his eyes, too. Beomgyu couldn't see himself wearing it, though. It was a pretty blue-and-brown plaid dress that hugged Minjung's body beautifully, stopping a little higher above her knee (similar to Beomgyu's skirt on him). It was the corset that had him feeling a little more self-conscious. On top of that, the dress was a neck tie with puff-sleeves in a floral pattern (which matched his skirt's pattern), that felt overwhelming to him. He couldn't imagine making the dress work as well as Minjung did.

If he had a choice, Beomgyu most likely would've chosen Nayeon's outfit. Hers consisted of a floral cami top, in a different pattern than his skirt but the colors matched. Moreover, her top was paired with high-waisted shorts. He briefly thought about asking Ryujin to switch, but once he felt the texture of her plaid tweed high-waisted shorts, he didn't even bother with the question. She did have a pretty short sleeve shirt to match the blue in Minjung's dress.

Granted, he didn't see the full outfits until morning of, since Nayeon sent photos of their outfits laid out. Still, he wouldn't say he hated what the girls chose for him. He'd just prefer a different shirt, and Ryujin noticed that right away. Due to being in charge of hair, she pulled Beomgyu to the side while Nayeon worked on Minjung's makeup look. By the time Nayeon finished Minjung and her own look, Beomgyu's hair was fully straightened, and the girls immediately saw a shift in his mood.

Nayeon took that chance to do his makeup, allowing Ryujin to work on Minjung's hair. All their makeup looks were fairly simple, as Nayeon focused on highlighting each of their best facial features. The eye-makeup was light as well, with just a dash of color unintentionally designated to each of them.

With their help, Beomgyu fell completely in love with his look, and even told them I'd do it more often if it weren't so much work. The girls laughed, nodding in agreement.

"When's the first performance?"

Ryujin's voice broke him out of thought.

"Little over an hour. We've got plenty of time, no worries," Minjung reassured them, despite not sounding convinced herself.

"Minnie, it'll go great." Beomgyu promised, sitting against the wall next to her. "Just remember, it's okay to make mistakes. If anything, most of the attention will be on me unfortunately."

"I'm sorry," she suddenly apologized.

With a small head tilt, Beomgyu tried racking his brain on what Minjung could be apologizing for. Nothing came to mind.

"For dragging you into this," she added. "I didn't think about the pressure you'd feel given your status on campus."

Beomgyu softly laughed, resting his hand on her dress-covered thigh. "Minnie, I agreed to this because I knew you girls would benefit from it. I'm just as nervous, but remember these are people we see everyday."

"What if he shows up?" She challenged, aware stakes were higher for him.

"Like I've told the guys, I don't care about him anymore."

"Gyu, we did not get you all pretty like this for you to tell us you don't care," Ryujin chimed in, before yelping due to Nayeon slapping her knee for moving.

"Why not? He's told me to find someone who makes me happy."

Nayeon chuckled. "That won't be very hard. Somi said the committee is struggling already to find a spot for all your gifts. Apparently, they're starting to pile up and we haven't even performed yet."

"Is he even coming?" Minjung turned her focus back on Beomgyu, who shrugged.

"Don't know."

"Are you really going to give up?"

"He loves my brother and my brother loves him."

"And you've been in love with him for seven years, crushing on him for twice as long," Nayeon pointed out. "Why give up now?"

With Beomgyu's silence, everything connected for Minjung.

"Beom! Don'tㅡ"

"I'm not!"

"You so are!"

"I'm not!" He insisted with raised hands.

"You picked these songs for a reason! Beomgyu!"

"I chose them because I thought they'd be fun and easy for us to perform multiple times today," he tried to reason, not believing his own voice. "Nothing further."

"Well, it seems he appeared for you." Nayeon turned her phone around to show the photo she just received of Yeonjun wandering around.

Minjung didn't miss the mischievous glint that entered his eyes. "Gyu, please don't do anything stupid."

"Me? Never." He smiled sweetly, further deepening the unsettling feeling in her stomach. "He told me to move on, so I'm going to. Nobody told him to witness it." Looking at his reflection in the mirror, he lightly pushed back some of his hair to expose more of his collarbone. "Mm.. this would tempt guys to leave a mark, right?"

"Gyu..." Minjung sighed, exhaustion evident within the soft tone of her speaking his name. Ryujin and Nayeon, on the other hand, were giddy and excited to see what Beomgyu had up his sleeve.

Ignoring her warning, Beomgyu hopped up. "We should get one last practice in," he suggested with Ryujin agreeing as Nayeon put away her makeup.

"I just hope Yeonjun knows what he's gotten himself into," Minjung mumbled as she got up and plugged her phone in to play the music.

With the same (sickeningly) sweet smile, he shrugged. "He chooses to keep coming to me. He can stop at any time."

Beomgyu was more than ready, particularly after receiving a text from Heesung that his hyung continued to question his friend group over the current small stack of gifts.

Hyung truly has no idea what's to come, Beomgyu thought while smiling to himself through his reflection as the first song started to fill the room.
