Chapter Text
< Oh, my distant love. >
In a great universe, there lived a god untouched by love. Born from the malice and hatred of her mother, she was brought up with the absence of care. This god longed so greatly for a moment of peace that she created a new world behind her mother’s back and in this world, the god wished nothing but happiness for its inhabitants. In this world, there would be someone for everyone and each person would be given a chance to live through the eyes of their beloved for a brief moment. These pairs would be called soulmates.
Not long after the birth of this happy world, the god's mother found out about it and in her hateful and tyrannical ways, she split up the content souls among the cosmos. These souls would search the expanses of worlds to find their other half and rarely would they ever come across them. This was the blessing and curse of the gods.

Instances of soulmates on Earth were curious and greatly cherished. Tales of lovers separated by time have been around since humans could communicate. The idea that you were meant for someone and someone was meant for you is reassuring and therefore a hope that many hold.
Mc never believed any of it. Neither did Katsuki.
Mc believed people could get along and love each other just fine without a soulmate and that holding out for one would ruin their chances of finding happiness in the people around them.
Katsuki believed that soulmates were bullshit and that holding out for love was a sentiment for fools. He would make something of himself without the help of anyone.
These sentiments were similar yet entirely different and both to be changed in a single 30 second moment.
