Work Text:
For Akito, his birthday became an actual special day after high school. Every year his friends would take him out of his box to celebrate and make him take a break from all that practice, which included many surprises.
A birthday show from his boyfriend and his troupe, a showdown to sing him happy birthday from his team or a moment just to enjoy cake with his family. Big or small, they were surprises that, although he didn't like to show, made him feel very grateful for all the people in his life.
Today was not going to be the exception, after all it is his birthday and Akito was prepared for whatever surprise that was coming. What he did not expect was to be blindfolded as he walked to who knows where.
"How long will I have to stay blindfolded?" Akito groaned, if his brain doesn't fail him, he has been more than half an hour without seeing anything.
"Man, just wait a few more minutes." An, on his left side, held his shoulder to guide him. "Right, Toya?"
"Yes, it's almost over Akito, keep going!" Toya on his other side encouraged him.
He tried to endure, there was no malice in this, his friends did it so that he would be happy on his day. But after stumbling several times and An making fun of him for it, Akito was getting tired of this situation.
The man standing behind the three members of Vivid BAD SQUAD was holding back a chuckle, not wanting him to be the reason the surprise was ruined.
"That's what you said five minutes ago and I still can't see." If it weren't for the fact that his arms were being held, Akito would have long since removed the blindfold from his eyes. "If anyone gave me a weird look earlier you'll be dealing with me, Shiraishi."
"You speak as if you're not used to them." The girl muttered, but both Akito and Toya heard.
Shinonome stopped and Aoyagi shook his head in disapproval, as if their plan was about to fail because of that comment.
"What did you say?"
"Nothing! God, you can't say anything these days." An sighed and turned her head back, asking the fourth person with her eyes if they were almost there.
He nodded and pointed with his finger to which room they should enter.
"You're lucky! Just a few more steps!" An dragged Akito by the shoulder, to which Toya instantly copied the action and the three of them started walking again.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, yes. Toya, could you..." She asked as they stood in front of their destination. The taller understood and opened the door. "See? I told you we were close!"
"I still can't see anything!" The ginger pointed to the blindfold that was still on his eyes.
"Oh right."
"Anyway, we're here." Toya stood behind Akito and untied the blindfold.
"Than- Woah!" He was suddenly push that made him enter the room.
Akito couldn't react or assimilate instantly, he just watched as the confetti flew in front of his eyes.
Pop! Pop!
"Akito!/Li'l bro, happy birthday!" The blonde and the pink-haired said at the same time, confetti placed in their hands.
"Tsukasa and Akiyama?"
"Happy birthday!" The rest of the group entered the room, revealing the last person who was with them.
"Kamishiro?!"
"Hey, Shinonome-kun, you put on quite a show out there~" The purple-haired added to his face that ear-to-ear grin that sometimes bothered Akito.
"And if you only knew how annoying he was before we arrived here." An's words caught his attention.
Now that he was no longer as stunned by the mind-numbing sound of flying confetti and his five senses were returning, Akito took a moment to register the place. The screen in front of him, microphones resting on the small table, instruments like tambourines for accompaniment and the disco ball hanging in the ceiling.
They were in a karaoke.
"Now, we put this here." Mizuki put a 'birthday boy' sash on Akito's shoulders.
"And this here." Tsukasa placed a birthday hat on his head.
"And for the finishing touches!" At the same time Akiyama put some glasses on him and Tenma put a party horn on his lips.
"And say cheese!" Mizuki, without giving him time, took a pic. "What do you think senpai, aren't we geniuses~?"
"Hmm, there's nothing better for a star than an assistant who's on his level." The blonde and pink haired high-fived. "We outdid ourselves this time, Akiyama!"
"What the hell is this?" Akito's face was flushed.
The genuinely confused expressions of his boyfriend and Akiyama - emphasis on Akiyama - coupled with the loud laughter of An who was on the ground holding her stomach didn't help.
"What do you mean with, 'what the hell is this'?" The actor crossed his arms. "It's your surprise birthday party!"
"And what happened with your special shows?" Akito asked and Tsukasa felt his soul leave as his jaw dropped.
"Ah... About that..." Mizuki shifted slowly, hiding behind Rui.
"I told you, Akiyama! We had to go with my annual special birthday show."
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I didn't think he was a real fan of those shows!"
While Tsukasa and Mizuki were arguing, An stood up and placed her hand on Akito's shoulder. "I can't believe it, but this is your best birthday surprise ever! Look at you, you look stupid!"
"It's not something you celebrate every day, so you look good, Akito." Akito didn't know whether to thank Toya for his compliment.
"I agree, this look suits you very well." Akito certainly wasn't going to thank Kamishiro for his compliment. "Tsukasa-kun and Mizuki put a lot of thought into planning this."
"Honestly, this is better than a show." An opined, still looking at the planning duo. "But I guess Tenma-san got us used to his birthday shows."
"I can't believe you'd prefer a show than hang out with the Kamiyama gang." Mizuki pouted. "We don't hang out much, do you know how much that hurts my heart?!"
"I saw you at my house two days ago." Akito deadpanned.
"Well, I was there for Ena, not you silly." Akiyama giggled innocently. "So my point still stands."
"And my point about my birthday shows being the best still stands!" Tenma proudly had his hands on his hips. "It's a shame I was too busy to plan any."
"Serves you right, bleh." The pink-haired made a face at him. "Good thing we had this plan B."
"Tsukasa-kun was in trouble when his birthday show plan had to be cancelled." Rui chuckled as he remembered when Tsukasa called him in the middle of the night for that.
"But as they say, two heads are better than one!" Tsukasa grabbed two microphones, one for himself and the other he handed to Mizuki. "And that's why Akiyama and I came up with the best plan!"
"Time for a quiz! What does Li'l bro like the most?!"
An raised her hand. "Pancakes!"
"Close, but the answer is not pancakes!"
Toya raised his hand. "Tsukasa-san."
"Even though it hurt my pride, there's something that is above me." The blonde scratched his cheek. Akito covered part of his face with his hand without making any comment.
Rui raised his hand. "Machines exploding."
"Only you like that!" Tsukasa and Akito yelled together.
"And that's why you're wrong too!" Mizuki butt in. "Tsukasa-senpai, do you know what Li'l bro likes the most?"
"But of course! As his wonderful boyfriend, I know everything about him!" And again Akito's face flushed. "What about you, Akiyama?"
"Even the question offends me! I know all the juicy information thanks to my secret informant." The comment made the ginger raise an eyebrow. "Then let's say it, on the count of three."
"One, two, three, singing!" Both announced, very proud of what they had done.
"Heeh, I see." Shinonome nodded.
Saying it out loud would only feed both of their egos, and Akito could handle Tsukasa, but Mizuki? That would be a pain in the ass and he didn't want to go through that. So it will be a secret to him how happy he was with this surprise.
"I like it! I was already looking forward to sing!" An grabbed a microphone.
"An, the birthday boy is Li'l bro, get in line." Mizuki tease the girl for her excitement about singing.
Tsukasa handed a microphone to Akito, a big smile on his face. "Let Akito's karaoke birthday party BEGIN!"
"Could you lower your volume a little? The microphone isn't helping." Akito complained, covering one of his ears.
"Oh, sorry about that."
"Typical Tsukasa-kun, getting carried away on Shinonome-kun's birthday." Despite looking like a tease, Rui was very happy for his friend.
"Yeah, it's nice to see Tsukasa-san taking good care of Akito." Toya was deep down very glad to have introduced the two of them.
"What are you two talking about?" Akito asked but got no response from either of them. "Less talking and more singing, I'm burning up!"
"And I have what you need!" Mizuki said. "The drinks have arrived!"
"And you did it without us noticing. I must learn from you, Akiyama!" Tsukasa took a look at the drinks and widened his eyes in surprise. "Beer?"
"What's wrong with it? We're all old enough to drink now~ Right, Officer Toya-kun?"
"As long as we drink moderately, I have no problem." Mizuki hopped at the guy's approval.
"Yay, come on guys! Cheers to Li'l bro!" Everyone grabbed their drinks to toast. "The night is young and so are we! One, two, three."
"Cheers!"
And just like Mizuki said, the night is young, in fact, the pink-haired still said that the night was still young enough to leave.
After the first drink, Akito, without further ado, was the first to start his karaoke party. If he was going to start the night, he was going to do it right, so he decided to sing a song that would wake everyone up even if they were already wide awake.
Tsukasa was sure that the alcohol didn't influence his excitement, it was just the first - of many - can of beer, Akito was already wanting to burn everything with his singing, so his concern that they would overdo it hadn't appeared yet.
After Akito, An followed, and like him, she decided to sing something powerful, even more so than Akito had done, so after Shiarishi's performance the excitement in the room increased to the point that even though the song Toya chose was at a slower pace, the atmosphere in the group of young adults was still lively.
Mizuki's choice of songs were the most fun, they were divided between anime openings and idol songs, the room was filled with screams and chants at the moments that called for it so sometimes they worried that their noise would bother the others. Tsukasa in one or another of the songs that Mizuki chose, joined them in a duet, and sometimes both added drama by imitating the poses that the anime protagonists did.
Rui, despite his reputation for being extravagant, chose songs from famous movies that everyone could follow and, like Tsukasa and Mizuki, he imitated movie scenes but gave them his own touch. At first, the others seemed reluctant to play along, but as the night went on, more and more of them found themselves included in ridiculous scenes that only those present would remember.
As the laughter grew louder, the music no longer let them hear, and the drinking keep going, Tsukasa didn't want to stop, because the atmosphere of this group has always been different compared to the other circles he is part of.
It may be because they have known each other for a long time and they trust each other because they have spent crazy moments, which justifies this rowdy atmosphere of a group of friends having a good time that didn't seem strange to Tsukasa. But they had to stop, from the moment Akito started to be much clingy to him and tried to strip off in front of all their friends, was what made Tsukasa's head snapped and realize that they have to stop, mostly because if Akito was aware of his actions, he would die of shame for it and his friends are not an audience for this kind of thing!
He had to save his boyfriend's image and leave this weird mix of cute and sexy just for him.
"Look at her, babbling about Kohane-chan so shamelessly." Mizuki tightened her grip on An's waist. "She complained so much about me leaving her out, but she should be thankful that Kohane-chan isn't watching this!"
So Mizuki's plan was always to get them all drunk and he was here believing it was a hang out for the Kamiyama gang but in reality Azusawa's absence was because she was not old enough to drink yet.
"Your alcohol tolerance never ceases to amaze me." Tsukasa opined. He was using all his strength to keep Akito standing.
"Look who's talking." Mizuki grinned. "How did it feel to see your sweetheart almost strip naked in front of everyone?"
"That's why we're out here!" Tsukasa blushed, the memory of him running at lightning speed so that Akito wouldn't lift up his shirt flashing through his mind. "If I'd known there would be alcohol I would have looked for a place that didn't offer it."
"Striptease aside, It was fun, though I doubt the rest of them will remember." Mizuki readjusted An so that she remained standing.
"Better for me and Akito."
"Don't try to play hard to get, I know you had a few smiles on your face when he started singing all those romantic songs to you." Tsukasa looked down and felt like steam was coming out of his ears.
"I don't want to be a party pooper, but Aoyagi-kun is going to wake up if you keep talking loud." Toya rested next to Rui.
"Toya-kun is going to kill me." Mizuki felt a little bit of terror as they imagined Toya's cold eyes. "Thank goodness he's staying with Rui, if his father found out I'd probably be dead meat."
"The same thing would happen to you if Shiraishi didn't stay at your house today." Tsukasa knows enough about Ken from Akito, and doesn't doubt that he would probably be angry if he saw his daughter in this state.
"Aaahh why are our friends so weak and ended up too drunk!" Mizuki glanced up and down at Akito. "You're lucky you stayed at Li'l bro's house, Ena must be awake."
"I don't feel so lucky about that..."
The three of them continued talking for a while until the taxis they had called arrived. They said goodbye and each took the destination that would take them to their homes, or in Tsukasa's case, to his boyfriend's.
Tsukasa doesn't deny his nervousness at all, since the moment they left the karaoke, he's felt like he was walking around with a time bomb, so he's surprised at how calm Akito has been. The small, unexpected giggles that made him shake on Tenma's shoulder where he was leaning, indicated that he was still awake.
The real challenge came when he stood in front of the Shinonome's door. Tsukasa knows perfectly well that they won't get angry or blame him for how drunk Akito is, but he felt ashamed of the fact that he was showing how his boyfriend was despite the fact that he always proclaimed how much he will take care of Akito.
He suck on breath and knocked on the door. If no one answers, he would just have to ask Akito for his keys and then no one in his house would know how drunk he-
"Shinonome-san, good evening." Tsukasa had to quickly put on his good-boy smile when the door interrupted his train of thought.
"Hello, Tsukasa-kun." On Tsukasa's scale, he hoped none of Akito's parents answer the door. "Come in."
"Excuse me for intruding." Tsukasa ashamedly entered the house with Akito at his side. "Um, I'm very sorry for how I brought Akito! I didn't expect there to be alcohol and even though we said we were going to drink in moderation we didn't! And... and."
Akito's mother laughed softly. "Tsukasa-kun, calm down, I'm not going to scold you. I am a little surprised to see Akito like this, but I was also kind of expecting him to go overboard with the drinking today."
Tsukasa fidgeted on his spot.
"It makes me feel more at ease knowing that you were there with him." Maybe it was embarrassment that made Tsukasa take that as a compliment. "Thank you for taking care of Akito."
"Of course! I swore that I would take care of him and make his days happy and..." Tsukasa started to trail off because he was saying such awkward things in front of his boyfriend's mom, alcohol really is bad.
"I'm glad." Tsukasa just nodded, not wanting to say anything else that would make him want to bury himself in a hole.
The blonde wished her good night and walked slowly to Akito's room, he has been here several times, so he knows where it is.
Entering the room, with the little light from outside reflecting through the windows, Tsukasa walked carefully so as not to trip, especially on the coffee table, he had already hurt his little toe on that damn table.
Like fine porcelain, Tenma laid Shinonome down on his bed, letting out a sigh as he knelt beside him.
He took his cell phone out of his pocket and checked his notifications, a message from Rui informing him that he had arrived home, another from Saki saying that she will be spending the night at Honami's, and the rest he didn't give any importance to, his parents knew from the beginning that he would be staying at Akito's house.
He dialed a number and waited for the person to answer.
"Hi, hi, I didn't think you would miss me so soon~" Tsukasa could feel Mizuki smiling big on the other line.
"I'm just calling to see if you got home safely."
"As gentleman as always, if you weren't dating Li'l bro I would probably be in his place, so romantic." Mizuki laughed at their little joke.
"I'm sorry, I'm already dating someone." Tsukasa, following the joke, rejected them.
"My heart shattered in pieces! A sudden rejection? You're so cruel!" His friend whined fakely for a while, to the point that Tsukasa got tired.
The actor listened as they threw insults that were worthless, because Mizuki was just joking, and after helping him with all the planning he would give them the pleasure of putting up with any nonsense that Akiyama might do.
"Do you think he liked the surprise?" Tsukasa was surprised that his question came out so quiet.
It's the fourth time he celebrates Akito's birthday and the second time as his boyfriend, for him the bar has raised every year and he had to strive to improve his surprises for the ginger. After all, one of the reasons why Tsukasa fell in love was the smile that Akito has every time he is fully happy.
"Do I need to show you the videos?"
"You recorded videos?!" Tsukasa checked that Akito had not woken up after that whispered yell.
"That's not the point. I can assure you that Li'l bro had fun, so the surprise was a big success!" Mizuki's celebration relieved Tsukasa a little, he was more worried about the fact that getting drunk had ruined everything. "Stop thinking like an old man."
"Did I say that out loud?"
"Yes." They sigh. "We may have overdone with the alcohol, but we're young and it was Li'l bro's first time. When he wakes up tomorrow he'll learn not to drink that much and you'll deal with it like his dearest knight."
Oh, the hangover, sweet hangover, Tsukasa felt it sometimes, for some reason his tolerance to alcohol became good. That same blow to the head will come to Akito and will make him know that excess alcohol is bad.
"But other than that, he was so loud that my ears are still ringing. So was An, and now she's sleeping like a baby in my bed." Mizuki pointed out how after Akito, An was the most excited of the night. "Toya-kun was like a rock, Rui had it easy."
And Akito was cute.
"Anyway, go and get some water, you sound really dry and relax senpai." Mizuki said goodbye and hung up the call.
"Water... I wonder if Shinonome-san is still awake, it would be very disrespectful of me not to ask before." Tsukasa muttered.
The actor looked at his boyfriend one last time, a loving smile adorning his face. His thumb ran down Akito's cheek, he looked so peaceful that his heart was going to burst, to think that not long ago he was so clingy to him without caring that his friends were watching them.
Tsukasa stood up and left the room.
He walked carefully in case anyone besides Akito was sleeping, although he hoped his mother was still awake. When he heard no TV sounds in the living room, he assumed everyone was asleep, and even though he had been told before to make himself at home and that it was okay for him to take something, Tsukasa felt bad for using something without permission.
"Oh?" Tsukasa look up at the voice from the kitchen.
"Good evening." Tsukasa scratched the back of his neck, the person in front of him nodded in greeting.
Tsukasa could say that he is not on bad terms with Akito's sister, in fact, he likes Ena and he does not doubt that the girl also likes him, but despite the time, he has always felt as if there was some kind of barrier between them.
Maybe it's just a boyfriend/boyfriend's sister thing, Akito sometimes seems like he doesn't understand Saki, must be normal.
"Were you looking for something?" The question brought him out of his thoughts.
"A glass of water." He replied, to which Ena instantly handed it to him and Tsukasa thanked her before taking a sip.
If it wasn't too late at night and his brain wasn't still occupied with Akito, Tsukasa would try to make conversation with her.
"Akito," she started. "He seemed happy."
Tsukasa decided not to say anything and let the girl continue.
"Well, the photo Mizuki sent me-"
"Akiyama send you something?" He cut her off abruptly, the blood on his face fading in an instant.
"Just one picture, this one." Ena showed her screen. It was the picture Mizuki took when he was wearing his birthday hat and all.
Tenma let out a sigh that he unconsciously compressed, made sure his heart was beating again and put on a smile as if a second ago he hadn't put on a face that was close to having seen death in person.
"I heard my mom say how drunk Akito is, the boy can't even walk by himself." Tsukasa apologized again for that.
And if her father comes out, he will also apologize to him.
"Drunkard aside, I guess Akito had a good birthday party. Mizuki keeps saying it was a fun night." And inwardly Tsukasa prayed that Akiyama wouldn't let anything slip that would end up embarrassing Akito with his sister. "And for that, thank you, Tsukasa-kun."
"There's no need for so many thanks, really." Tsukasa tried to downplay it, it was the kind of words that instead of feeding his ego, only increased his embarrassment. "I did what I should have done as his boyfriend."
"Hmm, if you say so." Ena shrugged and walked towards her room. "By the way, we're going out to eat tomorrow to celebrate with the family, come if you want."
"Eehh?! I think that'd be too intrusive of me! I already got in your way for him to celebrate with us." Tsukasa quickly shook his hands to refuse.
"I don't think anyone would have a problem with that, though." She said, for some reason Tsukasa's heart fluttered. "Mom loves you, Dad doesn't mind and it's funny watching Akito try to keep his cool so he doesn't screw up in front of you. Think about it if you want."
With that, Ena said good night and went back to her room.
Tsukasa quickly finished drinking his water, wanting to avoid talking to the siblings' father in case he appeared out of nowhere. He put the glass back and turned off the light in the room so he could go back to Akito.
When he returned to the room, he almost jumped when he saw Akito sitting there. Tsukasa walked quickly over to stand in front of him again.
"Akito, you feeling okay? Do you need to go to the bathroom? Are you going to throw up?" Question after question went unanswered, so Tsukasa was worried and Akito's silence didn't help.
In an attempt to distract his mind, Tsukasa looked at another part of the room, noticing where the musician's clothes were.
"Right, a change of clothes. If you need to go to the bathroom just tell me, I'll get you some clothe-." He was about to move but the sudden grip on his wrist stopped him. "Akito?"
Without waiting anything, Akito pulled him, and they both fell onto the bed. Tsukasa reflexively supported himself with his arms so that his weight wouldn't fall on Akito, and the truth is that anyone who came in right now would have a bad idea of the situation and would think that Tsukasa pinned him down.
The dim moonlight helped Tsukasa see Akito's olive eyes. He was staring at him so intensely that he lost his breath.
The room became more heavy, as if a heat suddenly covered every corner of it. Akito kept looking at him and Tsukasa didn't know what to do since it seemed that no matter what he did, Akito wasn't going to listen to him. In Tsukasa's attempt to get up, Akito stopped him by placing both of his hands behind his neck, it was so sudden that if it weren't for the fact that he supported himself with his forearm, their foreheads would have met.
They were literally face to face, if Tsukasa tried to get up, Akito would pull him back to the same position.
Looking closer, Akito's face was flushed, a little grin that did not reassure Tsukasa at all, because it was very obvious the problems Akito wanted to cause.
"Tsukasa-senpai..." Akito finally broke that hard silence and Tsukasa's alarms went off.
"'Tsukasa-senpai'?! Did I go back to first base?!" Tsukasa panicked upon hearing how Akito addressed him.
Akito stopped calling him senpai a long time ago, why now?!
As if the mood wasn't already complicated, Akito started giggling. His low giggles were enough to fill the entire room, repeating 'Tsukasa-senpai' over and over again after one more giggle. Tsukasa remained stiff, because it was a roller coaster of emotions to hear his name in a way opposite to what he was used to. Akito's voice was like honey and it felt even more dangerous to want to taste that honey.
The giggles slowly died down, giving way to what Tsukasa least expected would happen to him that night and probably his entire life.
Akito pouted.
His messy hair, blushing face and little pout, were a killer combination. Tsukasa was about to faint right there, he was surprisingly too cute for his heart to handle.
"Hey, are you listening to me?" Tsukasa blinked, Akito was still there trying to look annoyed.
He was fricking cute.
So adorable and demanding despite being oblivious to his surroundings, Akito only saw Tsukasa and wanted Tsukasa to only see him.
"I'm listening," he said, making eye contact so he could see Tsukasa's attention was on him.
"Why did you have to graduate, senpai? Do you know how hard it was to get used to not seeing you after having you around for two years?" Akito complained. Tsukasa felt like a bucket had fallen on his head.
"So this is the honesty of a drunk person." Tsukasa thought, deciding that Akito should let out everything he had kept inside for a long time.
"My days were so much more fun when I had you by my side, when you left... everything was so boring." And Tsukasa had no excuse, when he started college new responsibilities came and his time with Akito was reduced. "I know we both had our own things to do, but I wanted to see you."
"Me too, I wanted to see you too."
Nights in which they only communicated by phone, congratulations that could only be said by text, achievements that they had to enjoy without each other.
So close yet so far.
Only special days, like today, were the only times they could be together after Tsukasa left high school.
"So that's how you felt." Tsukasa kissed Akito's nose, then moved to his cheek and then his entire face. He dedicated himself to kissing every part of Akito, filling him with all the love he deserves.
"What do you think you're doing? I'm still mad at you!" His attempts to maintain that angry appearance were failing.
"I'm sorry, Akito. I felt lonely back then too, I wanted to see you too, and sometimes I even hated being a grade above you." Tsukasa kissed Akito's lips. "But having to endured that made my heart stronger for you and it was the same for you. Don't forget that now we are college students, we're finally together."
"Really? Really really really?!"
Before he could answer, his lips were captured by Akito's.
Beer, chips and cookies, that's what it tasted like, strange, an unexpected taste and very far from how Akito's voice sounded. But the happiness was palpable, Tsukasa could feel Akito's smile in the kiss.
The emotion of the moment began to change when Akito bit his lip to intensify the kiss further, they entered into deeper zones and Tsukasa was about to give in.
His brain couldn't find the most logical reason for why he was getting more drunk from Akito's kisses than from all the liquor he had recently drank, but it was becoming addictive and dizzy.
It was the hand under his shirt that slowly ran from his chest to his abdomen that woke Tsukasa up completely. Akito was not in his right mind at all and Tsukasa at least recognized the situation so he stopped him. He wasn't going to take advantage of the moment just because of Akito's condition, that would be the worst and he would never forgive himself for it.
"What?" Was the first thing Akito said when the kiss was cut off.
Tsukasa looked into his eyes again, they reflected doubt and he was afraid that the alcohol would make him cry now, so he gave him a kiss on the forehead to relieve him. Tsukasa moved to lay down next to him, holding the hand that ran down his body and gave another kiss.
"It's not right if one isn't aware of what's going on." Akito was ready to protest but was silenced by the blonde's arms, trapping him in a hug. "I love you."
If Tsukasa was as drunk as Akito, he wouldn't have a brain to think and would keep going, but since things were different, he had to be the one to cross the line between the them.
When Akito wanted to complain, Tsukasa interrupt him with an 'I love you' and if that didn't work, he hug him so tightly that the ginger could hear his heartbeat. They stayed like that until Shinonome slowly fell asleep. Tsukasa could only sigh as he felt the slow, calm breathing in his chest.
"Happy birthday." He whispered, planting a kiss on his head. "After all, it seems like you had fun. I just hope you don't remember most of it tomorrow."
If he does, Akito will probably want to die.
Akito wants to die right now.
His head was about to explode, the little sunlight irritated his eyes and moving even the slightest bit only caused his migraine to worsen. In short, Akito wants to die right now.
He will definitely never drink again in his life if it will prevent him from going through this suffering the next day.
"Here." Tsukasa handed him a glass of water and painkiller for his headache. "I helped your mom with breakfast, when you feel better eat some."
"Thanks," he mumbled before swallowing the pill and drinking the water. "And sorry for having to take care of me."
"There's no need to apologize, I have no problem." Tenma sat down next to him and played with his bangs. "I feel partly responsible for you ending up like that."
"Not at all." Akito snorted. "It's Akiyama's fault for being a sly rat."
"Don't call our friend like that."
"I'm just telling the truth." Akito rested his head on Tsukasa's shoulder, feeling slightly uneasy before asking his next question. "By the way, did I do anything weird?"
"Weird in what way?" Tsukasa hummed, a smile on his face that told Akito nothing.
"Um you know, like saying something weird or making a fool of myself in front of someone, drunk stuff." Akito explained, looking in Tsukasa's face for something that would tell him he didn't humiliate himself like that last night.
"No, the only thing that was difficult was that you moved around a lot when I changed your clothes." Tsukasa stood up, so he didn't see the slight blush on Akito's face. "Rest assured, your birthday was a success without any incidents!"
"I see." Akito nodded, now that he was calmer he remembered something. "I haven't told you before, but thank you. I don't mean to say that I don't like your birthday shows, but it's nice to have a change of scenery every now and then."
And now it was normal for Tsukasa to throw himself at him while crying and screaming his name.
"I'm glad." he said simply.
Now that's weird.
"Another thing, I'm going out to eat with my family later for my birthday, so if you want to come." Tsukasa laughed, that was a different reaction. "What? Did I say something funny?"
"It's not that, Ena told me the same thing last night. You siblings really are so alike." Akito didn't like that comment. "But I still think it's better if I don't go anyway, it's a family thing."
"Hey, are you sure I didn't do anything weird last night?" Akito sounded more demanding now.
"Of course I am! Why do you ask again?"
"You're not looking at me." He revealed and Tsukasa was startled, being an actor sometimes didn't help him. "If I did something, just tell me, I don't think I-."
A notification.
It were messages from Mizuki. "And now what does Akiyama want?"
Akito entered the chat with the pink-haired, and saw a number of videos that they sent him.
"Wah, there are so many videos, what did we do last night?" Tsukasa turned to look at him and Akito noticed his scared face as he walked closer.
"A-Akito." He cleared his throat and let out a breath before composing himself. "You don't need to see everything."
["Kohaneeeee this one is for you!"]
[Hahaha, even without Kohane-chan here, An will always be thinking about her.]
"My ears." Akito hissed and lowered the volume.
[Toya-kun, wake up uuuuupppppp!]
[And to think that Aoyagi-kun would be the first to fall.]
"Even after saying that we will drink in moderation?" Akito raised an eyebrow while Tsukasa whistled innocently.
[Oh my god, Li'l bro, get away from Tsukasa-senpai, he's not going anywhere.]
So he did something weird. Akito was perplexed, watching that video and the amount of PDA he was doing. He was the one who was treating Tsukasa like a pillow and the blond didn't even flinch, letting Akito do whatever with him.
His mouth dropped open as he watched the next video. He looked at Tsukasa and then at the screen and felt his ears heat up. Akito wants to dig himself a hole and never come out again, this is the worst thing that could have happened to him.
[Akito! Wait, don't take off your clothes!]
[What is that, Li'l bro?! Some kind of striptease?]
The rest of the video was Mizuki laughing and Tsukasa struggling with him so he wouldn't take off his shirt.
Tsukasa hid his face in his hands, Akito felt offended by that, he should be the one having that reaction.
"Did something else happen?" He asked nervously, it was his honor and pride that were at stake.
"Is better not tell you."
Later that day, a vague image of what happened last night came to Akito's mind and he was grateful that Tsukasa declined the invitation to eat with his family.
