Reader is 14 years old at the beginning of the story. They will age as the story progresses.

Reader is isekai'd.

This story will be platonic. The Reader may make comments on characters' appearances or have small "crushes" based on those appearances, but the story will still be platonic. There will be no love interests. If enough of you do want a love interest I may make a special chapter or story dedicated to that, but it isn't the main focus of Nefelibata.

Reader has no confirmed gender or sexuality and will be referred to as they/them. You may interpret it however you wish.

Reader is assumed to be around 5'6" (~168 cm) because this is a general average height. You may change it to fit your insert.

I will attempt to not include mentions of the Reader's hair, as I know some Readers' may wear hijabs, etc. If I do mention hair and it does not fit your character, please replace it or disregard it entirely.

This story will take place in the fictional world of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba, during the Taisho Era. (Jul 30, 1912 – Dec 25, 1926)

The author is from the USA and, despite research, still doesn't know a ton about Japan or how things work in Taisho Era Japan. Some things may seem kinda Western... now you know why. Please be kind to me 🙏🏻
