Good, now you can read it!💛
You drove down the car cramped road, doing your best to remember the address to the Showbiz Pizza Place. Making a few more turns and you had arrived! Thankfully it wasn't too far from your home. You grabbed some stuff and stepped out of your car, making your way over to the main door at Showbiz. As you entered, you looked for James. You'd arranged a date with him here after work. He was leaning on the front counter, waiting.
"Finally, what took you so long?" he asked, annoyed.
"There wasn't that much traffi-" you were cut off.
"I've been waiting in this hell forsaken baby drool hole for the past ten minutes!" he but in, upset.
"Look, I'm sorry! Can we just get our food now?" you pleaded. You'd eventually ordered a (F/P) pizza, two cups and some tokens.
You both got situated at one of the empty tables in the back of the showroom. After a few minutes the pizza arrived. James took a bite but then cringed, slowly continuing to eat. Is there something wrong with it? You wondered, taking a bite as well.
"This is actually pretty good!" you said after finishing your first bite.
"If you say so, (Y/N)..." James continued to cringe at the food, you were now cringing about his behavior. You glanced over toward the stacks of tokens on the table, regretting arranging this date a bit. Just then, stage right curtains opened. You'd remembered from last time you were here that was typically Rolfe DeWolfe's stage but this time there was someone different? There was a ginger man with a big nose on that stage. He looks kind of funny! 'The Uncle Klunk Abomination' theme was playing as who was apparently Uncle Klunk sung along to it.
"Who in the hell is this?!" James exclaimed, momentarily dropping his pizza.
"I think... I think this is Uncle Klunk did you not hea-" you replied.
"I know! I can hear! He's just too ugly though!" James argued.
"Wh... what? They have literal animals on stage here, I don't think that matters here. Besides, he's not THAT ugly..." you replied.
"Not tha- I can't believe you brought me to this baby place anyways, I just thought you had better tastes..." James trailed off, seemingly disappointed.
"I'm sorry..? Next time I-" you started.
"There's never gonna be a next time!" James got up and quickly walked out. You sat there, somewhat disappointed in the situation. Do I finish the food? James barely ate anything.
You glanced over at Uncle Klunk on stage.
"Now ladies and gentlemen, a word from the Health and Drug Administration uh uhh... Kids, there's a new problem going around our country and I- we need to warn you about it, seriously." Uncle Klunk went on as you nibbled at your pizza.
"If any of your friends ask you to go behind the building and go uh... or back in the woods and smoke some Crayolas... DON'T DO IT! Listen, it's very bad for ya- if you- don't smoke Crayolas! How many of you kids out there smoke Crayolas? Huh? No, raise your hands! We can tell, we can see the stains on your teeth!"
You raised your free hand as a joke but then lowered it, remembering the fiasco that had just happened with James.
"That's right, we know who you are. Kids, don't smoke Crayolas. If you wanna smoke something go steal some of your dad's old dried up socks. DON'T SMOKE CRAYOLAS!" Klunk said into an echoing microphone.
After some time that show had wrapped up and you were now playing in the gameroom. Maybe it's a good thing that James ditched, I've got double tokens now! You thought, combining your tokens and placing them in your pocket. You got up to go find some games to play, walking between many arcade machines. Some of the Rock-afire Explosion band members were wandering and playing the games there as well. You inserted a token to play (F/G) again. I can't believe someone could dislike this place so much? You got distracted, ending your turn quickly. Darn it! You thought, pacing towards another game.
"KOOSH-!" you heard, colliding with someone.
"Oops- I'm sorry I-" you looked up and saw that it was Uncle Klunk!
"Whoops! Didn't see ya." Klunk said.
"Hah- sorry!" you replied.
"Are ya alright?" Klunk asked.
"Yeah." you straightened yourself up and continued to the next game. Wasn't that the guy that James was hating specifically? You glanced over at Klunk after your turn. James thought that guy looked ugly... he's got a big nose... he doesn't look too bad to me though. Also, it looks like he's playing (F/G)!
You slowly made your way over to Klunk and (F/G). I might as well play my favorite game before I leave. You stood, patiently waiting as Klunk played the game. He was actually doing fairly good, though that'd make sense because he must spend a lot of time here. As his turn ended, you reached for one of your three tokens left. Klunk turned his head over to you.
"Oh, you wanted a turn." Klunk quickly said, stepping over.
"Yeah..." you paused momentarily, observing his unique facial features.
"Thanks, I actually don't have many tokens left though." you said, inserting a token. Your turn started! Klunk stood aside, watching you play through the game again though not beating his score.
"How are you so much better at this than me?!" you said, though you still did better than you thought.
"KOOSH I dunno... yer- yer perty good at it also!" he replied.
"Hehe- thanks, Klunk." you replied, stepping aside to give him another turn. You'd played through the last of your tokens on (F/G), it was now Klunk's turn.
"Here here uh- give it one more go!" Klunk said, handing you another token. You reached for it, your fingers brushing his palm. You quickly popped in the token to play your final turn there for the day. You felt flushed. Why am I feeling like this? I've literally just been left by James. You thought, trying to focus on (F/G) instead.
You eventually left the Showbiz Pizza Place and began heading to your home. You drove your car back home under a cloudy night sky. You'd arrived at your house, feeling full from the pizza you quickly yet lazily brushed your teeth and plopped into bed.
