Chapter Text
Friends. Yeah. That's how he'd describe them.
Knife didn't have many opinions on Paper, they didn't interact much. He knew Paper's character and how he's best friends with OJ, one of the popular boys at the school. He almost found Paper annoying, yet he'd never say anything to his face, or OJ's face, who knows what he'd tell him.
Knife had a vague memory of what Paper looked like, but he tried his best to remember. The pencil glided across the paper almost gracefully, the soft sounds of the two collided with the abrupt sounds of the loud commons area. Suddenly, a voice interrupted his thoughts.
"Hello..!" the voice called, startling Knife. It almost sounded unsure, as if questioning if they even wanted to talk to him.
Knife messily shut his sketch book, the thud it made was a little bit too loud for comfort. He looked up at the source of the voice. Paper, that pale boy. Paper had a fair complexion. He had pale skin that had a few doppled freckles here and there, a sunburn, which Knife could only guess happened recently. He also had lightly died hair, though it was faded slightly, showing off the boys slightly darker, natural color underneath. Oh shit, he was staring.
"Ah! Sorry! Didn't mean to frighten you!" Paper apologized, throwing his hands up as a small bead of figurative sweat dripped down his forehead. He did notice the staring coming from Knife, but brushed it off as him being a little frightened.
"No worries," Knife shrugged it off as he placed his sketchbook down on the table.
"Right, well then, Knife, would you like to vote for me for student council?" Inquired the freckled, pale boy.
"Yeah, whatever," Knife shrugged once again, trying to play it cool and nonchalantly. He didn't even see who else was running, not like he really cared.
The bell rang, signaling the end of their lunch period. Knife grabbed his relatively heavy bag and left, seemingly never looking back.
Paper peered down, his head tilting slightly. Knife had left his sketchbook there on the table! He observed the sketchbook's hard cover, it looked messily painted with paint markers. There were skulls scattered around, along with spiders, spiderwebs, and fake cracks around. It certainly was intimidating.
Paper grabbed the hard covered book and stuffed it into his bag, he'll give it back to Knife whenever he sees him!
