Work Text:
Captain Price. Since you had joined the task force, he was immediately someone you looked up too. He had a threatening and commanding aura that constantly surrounded him. He knew how to look after his team throughout every mission they went on. No matter what he'd make sure his team would get in and out of missions safe and sound. He was good at what he did. No one ever doubted him.
You were a well-trained soldier. You did what was needed of you, and you did it well. The whole team worked together well, like peas in a pod. They had to, in such a dangerous job, you had to know that the people that worked with you had your back.
The current mission. Infiltrate a warehouse used by a terrorist organisation, neutralise threats and gather Intel. Only problem is, the warehouse was located on the other side of an open field.
With careful movements, the team slowly made their way across, guns at the ready. Price kept a careful eye out, wanting to make sure his team got out of there alive. It wasn't until his eyes caught focus on unnatural mounds of dirt dotted throughout the field. They weren't supposed to be there.
Land mines. Hundreds of them. How would they get a hold of them? They are illegal. How…
“Stop!!” He yells, pausing his own footsteps. His voice boomed over the field, thankfully catching his team's attention. “There's land mines everywhere.”

Everyone freezes. They all turn their heads towards you. Their breathing hitches in their throat. “Y/N...?”
“I know.”
