Being a Ninja wasn't easy you had to fight Snakes, Nindroids, pirates, an evil warlord, more snakes, etc but having a newborn was even another difficult task. At least that's what Jay Walker the master of Lightning husband of Nya the master of water one of the saviours of Ninjago the one who defeated the Evil Djinn Nadakhan and stopped Unagami from his Rampage thought as he heard the cries of his 10-month-old daughter. He would get up and check up on her he wanted to but after the latest fight he had he barely could move most of his bones were broken.
"I'll get her," his beautiful wife Nya said, she was also banged up from the fight. It was a great idea to have a nanny there was no way one of them could stay out of this battle. Sadly the nanny they hired had to go to some family emergency and their daughter was quiet in her room sleeping both Jay and Nya thought they could relax on the couch until the morning they didn't do hospitals. So the best way was to patch each other up have a good night's rest, and deal with everything tomorrow or that was the plan until their daughter woke up and chose now to show her displeasure at being in her crib.
"No it's fine I can" Jay started but soon stopped as he struggled to get up his back immediately slammed on the soft couch. Once more when he tried to move his legs but immediately regretted it as he felt an unbearable pain it felt like his leg was going to split or something and he wasn't sure what to do.
"It's fine I got this" Nya said as she went to the other room to retrieve their daughter soon the wailing stopped and Jay was greeted by his old familiar friend silence, a friend he greatly despised. He waited for a few seconds wondering if his wife would come back with the baby she usually stopped crying when both parents were in the room it was adorable how attached the baby was to them and scary if they were ever to lose their lives would their sweet daughter Lucy, a name suggested by his best friend Cole and he had to give it to Cole it was a great name but would Lucy be alright if she ever lost both her parents she had great uncles and other family members to take care of her so safety wasn't a problem but would she be safe would she-
Jay's thoughts were interrupted when Nya brought their daughter to them seeing the beautiful kid that Nya brought to this world made Jay smile and it seemed his daughter Lucy Walker agreed as she smiled back at him.
Nya sat next to him "Looks like somebody missed daddy" She gestured to their daughter who was reaching toward her father.
"Hey lovely, sorry papa can't hold you right now both his arms hurt" Jay explained in minor detail about his situation and he wasn't lying he barely could lift a finger forget an arm, it's at times like this that he wonders if being a ninja is worth it.
His daughter Lucy whined a bit more until Nya started rocking her to sleep Lucy's eyes felt heavier until she closed them and soon fell asleep all the while Nya kept on smiling looking at her daughter.
"You're really good at this," Jay said
"Well one of us has to be" Nya shot back playfully, while almost whispering that part to Jay so as not to wake her up.
"Oww, my feelings, how could you?" Jay said with mock hurt while grinning. Their lives weren't the best, but if the world was a little safer for their daughter, wasn't it worth the risk?
Then Nya said something that threw jay for a loop "It's my fault".
"What do you mean" Jay questioned
"If I didn't let my guard down you wouldn't have to protect me you almost died today Lucy would've lost a father and I would've lost you the love of my life" Nya explained.
"Nya I would always choose to defend you because I love you, but if it makes you happy I'll take some time off," Jay said.
"Are you sure" Nya questioned.
"I'm sure," Jay said as he looked at his daughter and then his wife "My world is you two nothing else"
"I love you," Nya said
"Yeah, I think I got that when you asked me to marry you," Jay said.
"Well if you weren't going to propose I had too" Nya said.
"True"
And they all lived happily ever after
