Noxintrus sat down on the cliff’s edge, their feet swinging in the midst of the air. It would be so unfortunate for him to slip. Their hands tore at the small grass patches next to them.
Nox looked down at the ground below, it was far— very far. Their feet stopped swinging as they continued to look down, only being interrupted in their daze by his communicator dinging.
“Winsweep? What could he need. I thought the server was peaceful currently.” Nox quickly tapped the notification, reading the full message this time.
Winsweep : ‘Where are you?’
Nox grunted, rolling their eyes before beginning to type out a response.
Noxintrus : ‘A cliff? Why?’
Noxintrus : ‘That sounds bad, I’m only here to relax’
Winsweep : ‘Yeah that did sound bad for a moment— anyways, can I join?’
Noxintrus : ‘Mhm, here’s the cordinates ___ , ___, __
Winsweep : ‘Thanks!’
Noxintrus smiled at their communicator for a moment before placing it down. Their wings fluttering slightly, more content than before.
Nox was never the one for allies—He didn’t quite know if Winsweep was either— but he enjoyed Winsweep’s company, even if he wanted to murder him sometimes.
Nox continued to be partly lost in thought, but he was cut out of it when he heard footsteps. His wings folded neatly behind his back as he turned his head to look at who was coming towards him. Recognizing the mask immediately he casted them a short smile and a wave.
“Hello!” Winsweep said, settling himself beside Nox. But before Nox could even say hello back Winsweep began talking once more. “Have you heard of anything lately?”
“Winsweep, you ask me that everyday. And you know when I see something I tell you almost immediately.” Noxintrus replied.
“Yeah— I suppose you’re right.” Winsweep said, before the conversation died. The two sat there in silence and the comfort of eachother.
“I don’t regret being your ally.”
“Me neither.”
