Chapter Text
Stick is huddled in a corner of hides lab, sniffling. Stone opens the door and sighs, walking over to where blue is sitting behind a metal pipe embedded in the wall. Putting a hand on their shoulder, Stone spoke softly. "They didn't mean anything by it, kiddo. They were just having some fun. No one meant to hurt your feelings."
Stick angrily wiped the tears away from leafs eyes, holding a syringe full of a glittery yellow substance. "What if they were right? What if I never do anything worthwhile?" Stone pulled Stick against metals side, pressing a kiss to jellos forehead. "You're gonna go far kid, I just know it. How about we have a talk with the crew about making fun of your science?"
Stick frantically shook xeir head, clutching the syringe closely and holding back her tears to the best of his ability, which wasn't very much. "I'm not a mistake, right? I'm not just some accident of an experiment, right?"
Stone smiled warmly at Stick, saying, "You're the best mad scientist I've ever seen. The universe would be a whole lot bleaker without you." Stone pressed a kiss to his sibling's head and let cold quietly cry cemselves to sleep on gears shoulder.
