“Penny, we’re ready to leave now” Nemona spoke up, gaining Penny’s attention,
who was lying lazily across their sofa with a bag of chips on her stomach and a whole two-liter bottle of soda on the TV bench. She was having another re-watch of one of her latest fixation shows and had both not felt like, or cared for going outside at all.
Unlike her two girlfriends who wanted to go out and do some shopping, and have some fancy dinner and a general day out on the town.
It was definitely not Penny’s cup of tea in general and had told them to just go ahead and that she be staying home this time around and that they could enjoy a date just the two of them.
“Sure, have fu-unnn…uh..wow....” Penny sat up to look at her girlfriends, immediately trailing off the moment her eyes had laid on them and saw them wearing the most gorgeous outfits she had seen in a while and looked so insanely pretty with their makeup that it was hard for Pennt to tear her eyes off them.
Much unlike herself, who was in a simple black t-shirt and Eevee print sleeping shorts and most likely had nacho stains on her hands and clothes still.
It definitely was moments like this that Penny wondered how on earth she ended up with two of the prettiest girls to ever walk this earth while she… very much could pass for a gremlin next to them.
Carmine was first to speak up about her reaction and smiled amused.
“The only correct reaction to me~” She said, flipping her hair proudly from seeing Penny sporting a blush from just looking at them.
“Ugh.” Penny groaned, looking away embarrassed for having her reaction pointed out and Carmine wanting another ego boost. “why’d you have to go ruin it… maybe I was reacting to Nemona… or you know both..” Penny mumbled, glancing over to them again, feeling her cheeks burn. they really
did
look good.
“fair, I suppose. Nemo does look fantastic” Carmine smirked, snaking an arm around Nemona's waist to pull her close and kiss her head making Nemona let out a soft chuckle and gently push Carmine away. “aww, Thanks. But if you keep kissing me like this we aren’t gonna be able to leave anytime soon, you kissed me enough already.”
“Can never hurt another five minutes ~ “ Carmine hummed and leaned in to kiss her face once again. “that is true… but unfortunately we have a reservation” Nemona sighed with a pout, patting Carmine’s cheek.
“Anyway, Penny you sure you don’t want to come with? I could always call and change the reservation” Nemona offered, as Carmine wrapped arms around her again to keep giving her face light butterfly kisses to not accidentally get lipstick marks on it.
“Uh.. n-no that’s fine, I’m way underdressed anyway, you two have fun”
“Hmm, okay then, we be home in a few hours, don’t snack too hard~” Nemona grinned, taking Carmine’s hand to drag her away with her, before she could smack another lipstick mark on her face like from earlier when they still were getting ready.
“don’t you dare touch my chocolate ice cream, Penny! im saving that for that later, byeee~“ Carmine said mildly threatening to then smile sweetly at her, as she was getting dragged away.
Causing Penny to roll her eyes but looked after the two girls, checking them out as they were leaving. Another blush spread across her face as she cursed herself just a tiny bit for not agreeing to go out with them, they looked amazing but she really did not want to deal with people that day and the restaurant they wanted to eat at was not the kind of food she liked anyway and it probably would be a lot of guests there.
So, she let them have this and indulge in going out for a fancy dinner together just the two of them, and dress up all pretty.
There was no way she was going to stand in their way to have that sort of fun, matter she understood it or not. Plus, she had her Anime to watch.
Penny fell back on the couch with a thud, resting her arm against her forehead, thinking of her girlfriends for a moment and how damn good they looked together but then got up from the sofa.
“Chocolate ice cream was it, huh?”
Meanwhile, the two girls were walking down the pavement from their house, hand in hand, Nemona swinging it lightly and humming. “You know there is a 50/50 chance she will just eat your ice cream now, right?”
“ugh, if she does I’m taking her chips stash she has in the pc room” Carmine huffed, making Nemona laugh and continue humming.
“You’re in a good mood~”
“well, we haven’t gone out for a while! And between my work at the league, training, and staying home as of late, it’s nice to finally go on a date like this again!”
“I'm assuming you already got it planned for us and know what I want?”
“Of course, mi amor~” Nemona grinned, knowing exactly how to stroke Carmine’s ego and pamper her just the way she would like it but then added. “But only if you battle me as well”
“how could I ever have foreseen that” Carmine sarcastically said with an eye roll and then held out up two fingers “Two battles” She smiled.
“hmm, four.”
“three.”
“I can work with that” Nemona grinned, knowing all too well that Carmine’s stubbornness and competitive side would kick in when they got to it and most likely get way more than three battles after they were done with dinner.
And the closer they got on their way to the main city.
Carmine started to Hold Nemona’s arm possessively, linking them together as she held her head tall from all the looks people were giving them, some pulling up their phones and others just waving to them.
or rather, waving to Nemona.
Nemona’s fame had only grown over the years increasing immensely when taking over the role as Top champion and being the youngest to do so, sure made the word spread fast of her skill and talent.
Nemona being the cheerful and kindhearted person she was would always wave back and Greet fans and sign autographs, for the better or the worse too.
Carmine nudged Nemona “No distraction today, okay? I want you for myself.”
“Yep! Got it, today's all you princesa~” Nemona smiled, whilst Carmine blushed at the nickname and cleared her throat trying to play it off, cooly.
“G-good! I want your whole attention on me and only me, it's what I d-deserve” Carmine looked away but Nemona spotted her blush and smirked playfully at it, thinking Carmine was endearing as ever and how cute she got when getting embarrassed but trying to act cool about it.
The two got to the restaurant and being famous and from a wealthy family sure had its benefits, even with a reserved table, the couple got served almost immediately and the utmost respect from the staff for simply being there.
Carmine could tell Nemona wasn't the biggest fan of being treated differently like that and definitely didn't want any special treatment simply due to who she was but she would smile politely and let it pass, for now. As long as no other guests got treated poorly due to it she could pull through.
“Sorry, I know you don't like this “Carmine sighed, feeling partly at blame for this since it was her idea to go for the fanciest restaurant in town in the first place when she in fact was more than fine to go somewhere more lowkey.
But Nemona had insisted since she had mentioned it.
“Ehh? No, no, it's fine. As I said the other day, I want to treat you and let you indulge in this, Even if I don't like it, you do. And the moment we get the food I'm sure it will be fine.
“Ugh… you really have to go be the most amazing girlfriend there is, don't you?” Carmine mumbled as Nemona smiled, reaching for her hand over the table, and intertwining their fingers together.
Carmine could recognize that look in her eyes anywhere as a blush started to spread.
“Y-you can kiss me later”
“Or… now, whatever” Carmine added when she noticed Nemona started to lean over the table and Carmine was way too weak to resist and opened a menu to cover them locking lips together, not wanting to or allowing some random bystanders to watch them kiss.
But the taller of the two had to pull away again, before Nemona could get ahead of herself and deepened it further.
“Don't get ahead of yourself…”
“psh.. lame..”
Food arrived not long after and the two could finally dig in and start eating.
It definitely wasn’t bad, far from it. It was delicious and well made, but they both had better and the ratings seemed way overhyped than what it was, guess that's what a price tag can do but it was a calm and amazing Dinner regardless and it was fun just chatting together for a while.
But the most fun part came when the dance room opened up and Nemona dragged her over, begging her to dance with her before leaving, and having the champion lead was certainly a fluttering feeling in her chest, especially when she was surprisingly good at it.
But the moment Carmine had jokingly asked about their battle deal after dinner, the girl had been out of there in a flash, sprinting away and getting pumped up to battle her girlfriend.
And sure enough, after the promised three battles, Carmine was far from done.
“Again! I'm not used to battle in heels!”
“Again! You only got lucky that time!”
“I let you get an early hit in”
“I was so close that time!”
“J-Just one more..!!”
Carmine excused but kept pushing herself further and further, refusing defeat and it was so clear her focus would only lock in more for each battle and would not be swayed to give up. Not yet.
Nemona would simply answer with small
“kay~
” and
“yay’s
” while looking at Carmine and feeling so in love with this woman who kept striving for battles and improving herself against the champion and engaging in battles with her, be it out of pride, stubbornness, or be a sheer sore loser. Nemona absolutely loved her drive to not give up against her, especially since Carmine told her to not go easy on her in the slightest or she be mad.
But they could only battle so much before their Pokemon was completely exhausted and so were they.
They were back to holding hands while Carmine sulked making Nemona laugh fondly “You're getting a lot better Carmie~ “
“Tsk... I get you one day.”
“I know you will, I'm sure of it and I look forward to it!” Nemona grinned and Carmine let out a final sigh.
“Now what? Time to head home?” she huffed, too proud to make eye contact.
“Not yet, I promised I'd treat you just how you like it right?” Nemona smiled as she pulled out a card, holding it between two fingers, and when Carmine spotted it, her eyes widened.
“Really? You sure?”
“You battled me so much and I do like spoiling you now and then, so go for it~ My treat!”
And so, not long after, the two went over to the nearby mall with Nemona buying Carmine all sorts of pretty and cool outfits, Not having to worry about the price tag in the slightest.
Nemona tended to not like using her family's inheritance money to buy things, at least not for herself, feeling it's more worth buying things with her own well-earned money and to not rely on her family’s money but if it was for her girlfriend's sake and where she could spoil them and get them things they normally couldn't, it be worth it.
Especially Carmine who every now and then wanted a taste of the kind of life where she could be treated as a princess, and Nemona was more than happy to give it to her, knowing they both would settle down as soon they got home and just live a calm, quiet life anyway.
Carmine, did not only buy outfits for herself either, she very much got Nemona into it as well, picking out clothes for each other that they thought would look good on the other, both having fun with their shopping trip by Sneaking kisses in the changing room every so often, buying midway snacks as they just walked around, stocking up on battle items, buying small souvenirs to remember this date and it’s like.
But all fun had to come to an end eventually and the two walked out of the mall together arm in arm, carrying several bags of newly bought clothes, makeup, and accessories, they had even found an Eevee-themed hoodie with Eevee ears and tail that they immediately bought for their girlfriend at home.
As they were walking home, However, Carmine had come to a stop, making Nemona look at her, asking what’s up, with her gaze.
“Let’s get Penny some Mc’donphan, she probably hasn’t eaten yet and only snacked”
“Aww, that’s very sweet of you to think of that, she be happy. You two really are adorable to each other when you’re not trying to constantly bully each other or banter” Nemona cooed and Carmine flushed red hearing that.
“Sh-shut up, I just don’t want her to be hungry…”
“Uhuh. sure… im sure she is sooo hungry if she snacked and not because she loves nuggets” Nemona teased with a laugh making Carmine huff and walk in the direction the nearby mc’donphan was located.

…
“Nemona, listen…” Carmine said. Pulling at Nemona’s left wrist, Preventing her from opening the front door. “hmm?”
“Th-thank you for today… I had really fun and I appreciate you using your filthy rich money from your parents on me. I know you aren’t the biggest fan of using that money but… I thought I'd let you know” Carmine mumbled, averting her gaze from the display of honesty and how it made her feel embarrassed.
Nemona however, could only smile in fondness as she pulled Carmine closer to herself, dropping the bags she was holding to wrap her arms around her waist.
“Of course, Princesa If it’s for you, I don’t mind it. after all, a beautiful girl like yourself should match equally pretty outfits, right?” Nemona smirked, leaning in closer and Carmine felt her heart hammer in her chest from this flirty attitude being displayed in front of her, not able to muster up her usual bragging attitude.
Carmine darted her eyes between Nemona’s lips and eyes, feeling her breath staggering, she loved this silly girl so much and she deserved to be rewarded. Carmine’s hand found Nemonas neck in an instant, kissing her hard and passionately, pouring all her love into it for this one moment causing Nemona’s arms to tighten around her waist as Carmine pushed her back against the house wall for better support and if they had managed to avoid getting lipstick on each other before, they definitely were failing now, leaving marks on each other's necks and faces.
But before they could get into it more… the door suddenly opened and their eyes darted to a very perplexed Penny holding a trash bag and raised an eyebrow at them. “uhm… what the hell are you doing?”
“Penny!” Nemona immediately separated, causing Carmine to lose balance a bit and sending a quick frown Nemona’s way for almost pushing her off like that.
“Hi, we are home~” The champion grinned and Penny looked between the two and how Carmine was collecting herself. “I can see that…why are you making out outside?”
“We got a bit caught up in a moment” Nemona smiled bashfully and Carmine sighed.
“yeah and you ruined it.”
“Well, sorry for wanting to do some chores” Penny rolled her eyes and went over to the trash can “You should be sorry!” Carmine huffed as she and Nemona collected their shopping bags, Penny grabbing some of them as well to help them inside with everything after she returned from throwing away the trash.
And once inside the shortest of the three went back to her corner on the couch, slumping back into it while her girlfriends put away everything they bought.
“So, did you guys have fun? you bought a lot” Penny said as the two walked around
“Yeah! And Carmine battled me so much~ “
“Did she win?”
“Almost! “
“You should get on her terms and do some double batting sometimes, it's what she’s best at”
“Excuse me? Are you implying im not good at solos??”
“yeah, what about it?” Penny smirked, hearing Carmine’s voice immediately getting agitated from that. “take that back this instant. I could beat the likes of you.”
“uhuh. I’m suuure~” Penny teased but then got spooked when Carmine suddenly dropped a bag on her stomach while sitting down next to her. “what’s this?”
“I-
we.
got you some mc’donphan… figured you might not eaten yet…”
“It was Carmine’s idea.” Nemona smiled and sat down on the couch, next to Carmine, cuddling into her almost immediately.
“Oh really..?” Penny smirked and sat up, causing Carmine to flush red from being exposed.
“No! I just.. didn’t want you to only eat snacks and you might been hungry since we were out for so long and-”
“Thanks, Carmie~” Penny interrupted and smiled, grabbing her face too quickly to kiss her cheek before leaning against her as she opened her food, seeing how her girlfriend had gotten her favorite order causing her smile to spread.
“...you’re welcome…” Carmine mumbled, leaning her head on top of Nemonas as she felt her settling into the crook of her neck, while Penny leaned against her torso and Carmine did not forget to pull an arm over her shoulder, occasionally stealing a nugget directly from her hands, causing penny to smack her leg in annoyance while she laughed.
But the two would giggle about it afterward just like Nemona from just watching them low-key banter and tease each other as they were watching the show they had all been following together.
