Hermione thought it was ironic. The color red. It had always been her favorite. The color of the leaves when they turn in autumn, her favorite season. The color of the strawberries on her favorite shortcake. The color of a beautiful sunset on a summer evening. Eventually, the color of her Hogwarts uniform. Now when she sees it all she sees is blood.

Pureblood, halfblood, muggleborn. They all bleed the same color of red.Five years had passed since the Battle of Hogwarts. Five years since the trio went to their old school for a low-key mission. They were supposed to be in and out. Get the diadem. Get out. They weren't ready for a final battle yet. They didn't have all of the horcruxes.
When they ran into the Carrow twins near the ROR and they called their master, they knew they were in trouble. So many died in that battle. Harry, Ron and Fred included.
It's five years later and the order has fallen. All muggleborns and half-bloods forced into hiding. Toms took over most of Europe and is working on breaching MACUSA.Hermione has a back up plan.
