“ugh..”
groaning at the defeat screen, Firefly took of her headset while rubbing her face, this is the 7th loss streak. How embarrassing no matter how many games she plays she hasn’t been getting better at it.
She absolutely hates this. How can anyone have fun playing?? How can she play this for hours?, no the game is fun only when you see the victory screen, even more fun when you’re the MVP. Which is something that seems impossible for her to get, except that one time but the opponent were purposely losing so that doesn’t count.
Deciding to go get a snack from the kitchen, Firefly headed downstairs only to stop in her tracks when she heard loud noises from the living room.
Going in there and seeing Silver wolf playing on the console yelling at her teammates, snickering at the words and forgetting about the snack, Firefly got closer to where Silverwolf was seated and stood behind her.
Waiting patiently for the game to finish, Silver wolf gameplay has always fascinated her. She was too good, with high rank and all made her wonder if she can keep up with her level so they can play together more as a duo.
Throwing her fist in the air with the controller on her other hand, Silver wolf was celebrating another victory. She was so distracted by hitting a new rank she didn’t feel or realize that someone was watching her with amusement.
Firefly let out a small giggle at the sigh which made the lavender haired girl jump slightly as she wasn’t expecting anyone to be around.
Turning her head around slightly to address the sneaking girl “how long have you been standing here?” Silver wolf asked with a small blush on her face
“Not for long, I just showed up before you won,” Firefly replied as she moved closer, deciding to sit down next to the other girl “was heading towards the kitching but I heard you yelling so I came to see.”
“Oh, I wasn’t being that loud was i?” Before the other girl could answer, Silver wolf continued “honestly that guy was so stupid I should’ve yelled at him more, almost mad us lose.”
Snoring at her words, Firefly returned her attention to the screen “how are you getting higher? I’ve been stuck in the same teer for a month now.” She said with a pout.
“Well, have you been watching any gameplays?”
“no I don’t understand how is that supposed to help me?” Looking at the other girl in confusion.
Silver wolf flickered her fingers “you see, seeing other pros playing the game can help you understand strategy and how character work together, you can even learn new tips on some characters”
Humming at the idea, and thinking about it. It made sense because she did understand some gameplay mechanics by seeing Silver wolf play.
“Ok will you continue to play?”
“Yeah I’ve been trying to rank as high as can for today, why do you ask?”
“Can I sit with you and watch you play”
Getting slightly startled at the question, Silver wolf scratched her cheek with her finger looking embarrassed a bit. “Yeah sure, but isn’t this usually the time you go to sleep?”
“Yeah well you told to watch pro playing the game and so I thought to watch you play so I can get better” the white haired girl replied with a sweet smile on her face “I want to get somewhat closer to your level so we can play together”
Looking at the other girl in a shock, Silver wolf recovered and coughed on her fist.
“You do know that we can play together at any level right?”
“But that’s different! It would be so obvious that I am being carried by you!”
“No matter how good you’ll get I always will be the carry” saying that with a satisfied smirk, Silver wolf started another match.

after 3 matches later (with one of them being defeat) the lavender haired girl found herself in the others lap, tensing a bit, Firefly seemed comfortable and content having the other girl on her lap, Silver wolf wasn’t bothered at all by the position as much she thought she would, rather it felt good as she untensed and relaxed.
Enjoying the the situation and playing a few more match, she began to hear a quiet snore, looking behind her slightly she saw the other girl asleep, the lavender haired girl stared at the other sleeping form. She locked peaceful, and pretty shaking her head slightly she decided that it’s enough for today.
Turning off the console and quietly getting up without startling the other awake, the shorter girl went to fetch a blanket and went back to help the other girl sleep comfortably as comfortably as you can sleep on the couch, then covering her the blanket.
Starting at Firefly’s sleeping form one more time fondly, Silver wolf sighed as she went to her room while thinking about her feelings for the other.
