Bowser was already bored at the castle, so he decided to plan his next attack to kidnap the princess and have his children ready. Of course, it seemed they were relaxing so he might wait.
"Kids!" They all scattered to greet him, standing right in front of him. "We're going to kidnap Peach soon! It'll be a couple weeks so I'm letting you all know so you can practice all the new stuff you been learning against those disgusting brothers." They all nodded happily.
"I been meaning to try a new gadget I been working on! I can't wait! I'm sure My chain chomp is going to love it!" Iggy yelled excited. He was the weakest of the Koopaling's but he was the smartest from inventing. He even invents things for his siblings to help them defeat the mario brothers. Even if they won't admit it.
"And help me make my Bomb balls right Iggy?" Lemmy asks his younger brother.
"Yeah! Those mean old brothers keep getting Mama Peach!" Junior yelled puffing some smoke.
"Yea. Mama peach is ours!" Larry yelled agreeing with his baby brother.
"Smash! Bam! Bam!" Morton chatted with Roy. They did have the muscle of the family.
"I been practicing my ice skating so I'm sure those nasty brothers can't up to me now." Ludwig watched as all his siblings get excited to fight off their enemy soon. Ludwig was not. There was a secret he kept from his siblings and if any koopa found out. He may be seen as a traitor. But he wanted it for so long.
"We can't wait to show you what we been practicing Dad!" They all yelled.
"Alright. Go play. I'll let you kiddo's know when were leaving." They all ran off. Bowser went back down the halls. He needed an update on his troops. He need them to prepare for the next battle in the upcoming weeks. He called out to Kamek and the Magikoopa appeared.
"I want a status update."
"Of course, sire."
"Where are we with the troops." Kamek started to read off the papers he prepared. Knowing the king would need them soon. As Bowser walked down the castle halls as he notices one of his children out in the garden. It was Ludwig and he was walking across to get to the other side of the castle. Must be hungry, Bowser assumed but, it wasn't until couple days later he saw Ludwig run off down the halls again, and again. This is becoming an occurrence. Of course, he asked his other children, but they all say the same. Ludwig always goes off every couple days to train with his magic. It wasn't until a month later that Bowser wanted to see what Ludwig has been doing. Bowser wanted to question the teen, but he was a teenager. Knowing the teen. He would be hiding something, so he decided to follow. Being a big figure he was, it was going to be hard. He wanted to tell his loyal boo's to follow his son, but this was a family matter. He was going to give Ludwig one last chance so he pretended to stand in the hall he knows he would go down to. Right on time, Ludwig has turned the corner, bumping right into his father.
"Ludwig."
"O... Hello Father." Bowser see's that Ludwig was carrying a backpack. He saw a flute peeking out his bag.
"Why are you rushing down the halls Ludwig?" Bowser asks his oldest.
"O.... I'm just really hungry." Ludwig looked between his father and the door that he is blocking.
"I can have the cooks prepare you a meal and bring it to the table."
"No! I mean. I'm okay. I just want a snack. Then I'll head back to the other side of the castle again." Bowser looked at him serious. It doesn't seem Ludwig is going to budge and he doesn't like forcing his children to talk.
"Very well. I'll see you tonight." Bowser continued to walk down the halls till he heard the double doors. He grabbed his bag he prepared and went into the kitchen. He saw the next set of doors swing as well. He sighed as he ate the mini blue mushroom making him small. He carried a hammer and extra mushrooms just in case he turned big again from following Ludwig. He followed Ludwig to the outskirts of the dark kingdom. Being this small was sometimes hard to catch up but this was a secret mission. If it causes Ludwig to sneak off and not tell anyone, thinking about it must be serious.
Ludwig was happy to get out of the castle. Sure he loved being inside the castle walls, playing with his siblings. Watch them progress their magic and talents. Something he thought he would never be able to experience. Ludwig finally made it toward the section of the kingdom walls. He moves some of the dirt and firmly pressed. The walls creaked as it moved to the side, creating a passage way.
Bowser watched as a passageway formed in front of Ludwig. He went through. Bowser quickly followed before it closed right behind him. He walked through the tunnel until he was outside the kingdom. He saw Ludwig's blur. They entered the forest. Ludwig stops at a tree. It had some weird writing. Ludwig turned after turn. Bowser almost lost him but luckily, He smelled the scent of his son. The instincts do have advantage. Something he wishes to teach his children someday. Bowser climbed the tree to see what looked like somewhat open area. It had trees around but a lake in the middle. Ludwig walked to the log and set his things down taking stuff out. Was this where Ludwig goes? Ludwig pulled out the flute he had in his bag and another object as well.
Bowser knows Ludwig was into more musical than all his other children. He heard a rustle. He saw a figure coming into the opening. Being in panic mode he thought they were going to capture or ambush him. Bowser pulled the hammer out his bag, but heard, "Mama Luigi!" He turned back to see Ludwig running to the figure. Luigi pulled his hood off welcoming Ludwig in a hug as well. After separating, Ludwig looked at him mad. "Why are you late!" He huffed.
"Sorry. I was fighting a piranha plants on the way here again." Ludwig nodded.
"So you still haven't found fire flowers then?"
"No. I promised Mario I would be back in a week. So I have to head back soon."
"O." Ludwig saddened. He loved Luigi and spending time with him. But Luigi has been here almost all month for him.
"Will see each other again. I promised. I don't want Daisy in trouble."
Daisy. Isn't that the other princess? From sand kingdom? No, some other kingdom. Near his Peaches castle. Bowser grumbled in annoyance.
"Promise?" Ludwig held his claw out. Luigi smiled wrapping his pinky around it. "Great! Now I have this thing you said you would show me!" Ludwig pulled out the harmonica. Luigi beamed.
"I haven't played this since middle school. Scusi me, I'm a bit rusty." Ludwig nodded as he handed it over. "Okey dokey." Luigi played the little instrument to Ludwig and he was amazed. Ludwig played his flute along. Bowser watched his son so relaxed with his arch-nemesis. He was never close to Ludwig. Thinking back when he adopted Ludwig. He doesn't think he tried to connect. Luigi notices Ludwig down.
"Are you okay?"
"Father plans to kidnap Peach again." Bowser felt betrayed that his own son has revealed his plans.
"O. I figured. It's been awhile since he has." Bowser watched the expression change from his face.
"I wished he stopped kidnapping her. I don't Peach to be our mama," Ludwig admits. At a time he did. He wanted a mother. But he was happy just having Bowser. Bowser was a good father to him.
"Ludwig I'm sure he has his reasons."
"But I want you to be our Mama. You care for us. The others don't even know you been treating our wounds into battle. Giving us powerup and your heals! Things you need to fight father but still show up beaten up." He was just happy with Bowser but ever since he woke up after the fight with the brothers. He saw Luigi treating his wounds. He was ready to fight but Luigi panicked and told him to stay. To see the ice burn he received. Ludwig obeyed. He never so much care and touch. He didn't even realize he was leaning toward Luigi.
"Because they are kids. You are a kid."
"I'm a teenager."
"Yes, but still young. It's okay. I still carry enough for me and Mario."
"But still! Father doesn't understand or see how amazing you are. The others think it's just Kamek healing but it's you! They don't know the gifts I bring are from you and the stuff you teach me I show them. I try to be okay with father showing more attention to them. But I want to be noticed to. But I want them to be happy. I don't want to see them on the streets again."
"Peach can be a good mother. Just. It's complicated. I know you would prefer me but-
"You don't want to be my mama because bowser is a monster to u. So I'm a monster to you to." Ludwig started to tear up. He knows the other kingdoms calls his father a monster.
"Never!" Luigi went in front of Ludwig. He got on his knees grabbing the little Koopa's hand or claws. "You are not a monster. Not u, your siblings or even King Bowser. You are just misunderstood. Bowser wants to capture Peach because he wants a mother figure for you kids. Maybe even want love. He can't fill that void of 2 parents even if one can be enough. He wants your happiness to Ludwig. Yes, we are enemies but because we have no choice. You are a good kid Ludwig to watch your siblings and protecting them. A monster would not do that. Every-a thing is defined by action and meaning. Yes, it not nice Bowser kidnaps Peach but he does it out of love. Yes I don't like fighting, but Peach needs to be free to. Sometimes love makes us do dumb things but we go along with it and even fight for it. Maybe Bowser feels lonely to. But he cares for all of you."
"Your awesome Mama Luigi." Luigi smiled at the koopa. Ludwig jumps to Luigi hugging around his neck. "I love you mama Luigi."
"I love you to il mio musicista." Ludwigs tail started wagging as Luigi happily returns the hug. Luigi loves this child. Ever since that day. Luigi and Ludwig connected. Ludwig even left a letter to Luigi to meet him. Here at this location. That was a year ago. Luigi, going soft for the Koopa, agreed to meet and Luigi would try to meet him ever since. After confliction, why Luigi would do everything he's done, thinking he was just using Ludwig, Ludwig realizes how nice and caring Luigi was. More than his brother. Even more a scaredy cat. One of the things he loves about Luigi.
"I hope one day fathers sees that kidnappings is not good for the kingdom. And thinks about our future in the kingdom. I know he cares about our time, kidnapped Peach for us but.... I don't junior to be raised that kidnappings what you want is how to raise the kingdom. He is our future king and I want to be proud to serve under him. Just like Bowsers troops. Father always makes sure we're all okay and healthy. Us and the troops. Even without kidnappings but he can't kidnap forever, and Princess Peach won't see father like that. Peach is nice but father only see her beauty as well. Without fully knowing her. If father tries maybe Peach can see what we see if she likes him..... I don't want them to work out. I do want father to find someone to love but-"
"Ludwig you want your father to be happy, right?" He nodded. "Then give her a chance okey? Its okey if you pick her. I just want you to be happy. If it ever happens just support them. They deserve happiness as well."
"But what about you? You love my father. Maybe you confessing to him will make him realize he doesn't have to kidnap to make people fall for him forcibly." Bowser froze.
"Yes, but I'm not someone Bowser sees. All I am to him is Green Mario and his arch nemesis brother. I'm a coward to everything and barley stand up to myself. Bowser wants a strong and brave person."
"But you are brave. You faced the boo king! And my father! By yourself! You cook really good and your nice! You always stand up and face danger even being scared!"
"You don't have to like the idea Ludwig but you have to respect it. It is Bowsers choice." Ludwig frowned.
"Its a-okey. It takes time. Thank you for considering my feelings. But I want you happy and have a family you always wanted." Ludwig didn't like Luigi putting himself down. He loved Luigi a lot. Luigi always put others before himself. That's how selfless Luigi is. To Ludwig, Luigi was amazing. Just as amazing as his father. Sure, Peach can be amazing but she didn't try for Ludwig. She sat in her cage, just interacting with Junior when needed. She tried to be nice to the others but Luigi. He knows Luigi can be a good mama to them. Sure, he doesn't want to share Luigi but he knows his siblings would love him and Ludwig would always want his siblings happiness over his own. Iconic that Ludwig is doing the same as Luigi.
"Can you tell me another adventure you went. O the one you faced King Boo!"
"You really like that one," Luigi says smiling. He really did love this Koopa. To Luigi, Ludwig was like family to him. Of course, he knew Mario would not like that but he considers Ludwig like a son. Even Ludwig calls him Mama. Something that made him happy. But he is worried about him. What if Bowser finds out? What would happen to Ludwig? Can he convince the princess to let Ludwig stay with him? Showing that Ludwig was not a threat. Of course. He would do anything for the Koopa. So he'll cherish any moments he can have with him.
"Of course! You all scaredy cat and still face him to save Mario! You were a hero and not Mario! Even though they celebrated his return and not u saving him," Ludwig growled. Luigi smiled as he pet the young Koopa.
"Its-a okey. I not like attention so I'm a good. Now how about that story."
Ludwig instantly sat down to listen. Luigi started to explain his story again. He loved this koopa with all his heart. He wished he can connect to the other koopas just as much. It was by chance he got to spend time with Ludwig. From the time Ludwig woke up sooner than expected as he treated his wounds. And even Ludwig getting a letter to him to meet. He was very late and found the Koopa crying. Ludwig was surprised and tried to show a brave face but slumped. Ludwig wanted to yell so badly but his emotions took control. Luigi stayed quiet. Watching the young Koopa cry to explain that he missed his birth parents and that it hurt know they tossed him away. That he was confused why he felt so comforted by Luigi's touch. It broke Luigi's heart so he promised to always come to see him. Ludwig always asks for him and is happy to see him. Luigi didn't realize the koopa fell asleep on his lap for comfort. He smiled, ruffing the puffy hair. Luigi looked up to the sky to see the stars starting to come out. It was getting late. He slowly moved Ludwig to a better position to lay as he packed the stuff.
Bowser watched from afar, amazed of what he seen. His son's true feelings and Luigi. Luigi liked him. For what reason? What is their to gain?...He didn't call him a monster..... He didn't see him or children as monsters. Something sparked in Bowser but maybe it was gas.
Luigi put on the small backpack then carefully lifted Ludwig into his arms. Ludwig was heavy but Luigi always worked out so he could carry him, and it wasn't the first time he's done this. Luigi was close to 6ft tall and Ludwig was 4ft. From height and weight, it wasn't a problem to Luigi. Ludwig's head was placed on Luigi's shoulder. Luigi always thought it was cute. Ludwig would always say he's a teenager but sometimes it's okay to act like a kid. He knows he missed those days. Not having to worry and have fun without thinking of other's opinions. Luigi walked down the path Ludwig takes.
Bowser hopping down to follow. He watched Ludwig's sleeping face. He can see the full trust he has to his nemesis. He made him jealous that his own son wouldn't talk to him about this. Then again, he has been busy for the last couple weeks. He always went to see his children and he goes to say hello to Ludwig, but one of the others calls back for him. He neglected his child. For how long? Luigi looks at the trees and turning every direction. So, it's something Luigi can understand Ludwig's weird writing. Now how is Luigi supposed to get in?
Luigi peeps out to see the entrance of the kingdom. Bowsers see's 2 of his guards that guard the entrance to the kingdom. Luigi Places Ludwig down for the time being and he pulls out a flashlight and flashes it on and off. One of the guards notices.
"I'm getting kind of hungry. Maybe you should get us something to eat rookie."
"Really? I heard about this new place. I'll go get some now!" The other koopa ran off. Bowser watched as the Koopa gave a thumbs up. Luigi pulls out his cape. He picks up Ludwig to his back and covers him over then pulls the hood over. Just from this angle he can tell Luigi looks like a Koopa covered. Genius! Wait why is his guard letting them in! Smoke came out his nostrils. What did Ludwig do to his loyal subjects! Luigi walked onto the bridge and waved his hand to the guard. The guard happily smiled and waved back. Luigi walked along the side of the walls. Bowser realized he was being left behind. He ran off behind them going through his troops foot to still go unnoticed. He found Luigi walking down. They made it to the castle. Luigi walked to the side and placed his hand on the wall. He moved it around till he found what he was looking for. He pushed and a passageway opened. Bowser was shocked. How did he know about this?Ludwig was going to be in trouble. Luigi walked in the path. It's been a long time since he went through these passageways. Junior uses them cause he's small. Luigi knocks twice. He waits and then another opens. He walks in and Bowser realizes where Luigi walked into. He's going to be captured now for sure. This is Kamek's room of spells.
"O did he fall asleep again?" Bowser ran in seeing Kamek look at Luigi with his hood off.
"He fell asleep while I was talking."
"I told him to stop falling asleep. You can get caught and what if King Bowser saw you. Then all this will get us in trouble.
"Scusi."
"That's quite alright. Thank you for watching with him. He has sure grown a liking to you. To think I thought you were using him to get to us."
"No, no. I wouldn't betray Ludwig. He's a good kid. I don't want to lose his trust. He's been through a lot."
"A lot he has."
"Ludwig wants to be like you. He been practicing his magic a lot and I see improvement. Of course I don't know much as you do Kamek but he wants to be and advisor as well. To help junior when he's king."
"Ludwig's magic has become stronger. I'll take him under my wing when the time comes. For now he serves under Bowser. And knowing Bowser. He would want Ludwig to help capturing Princess Peach."
"I know. I wish Ludwig can talk to Bowser or you put a word in for him?"
"Remember who you are talking to Luigi."
"Scusi."
"But you really are kind hearted. You won most of the troops of Bowsers. I'm sure most will be thrilled to see you again in the next kidnapping."
"I will happy to see them as well."
"I'm sure your tired. I'll can take him off your hands." Kamek used his wand to levitate Ludwig off Luigi's back. Luigi turned and smiled. He placed the bag down then placed a kiss on Ludwig's head.
"Grazie Kamek." Luigi turned as he grabbed the cover back to head home. Kamek exited his studies into the halls. Bowser feeling like now was a good time turned back to his normal size. He came out right seeing no one in the halls. He heads to the children's wing to see them off to bed. As he walks in, he sees Kamek come out of Ludwig's room.
"O sire, I was about to come get you. The children are asking for you to tuck them in." Bowser nodded. He went in to see all of them waiting for him. He tucked each one in them went to Ludwig's room. He sees a faint smile on his face. Bowser frowned knowing he wasn't the one to put it there. He placed his hand into Ludwig's locks. Ludwig stirred and leaked his eyes open.
"Father?"
"Sorry did I wake you?"
"Its okay. Did need you need me?"
"No.... Just had a rough day.... Ludwig..... Us koopa's are hard to express much emotions."
"I know. We have to show were strong and big."
" I know I showed much love to the others but..... I never got to chance to say..... I love you kiddo..... And thank you for watching your siblings when I don't. You're a really good son...." Ludwig smiled faintly to him.
"Thank you, father." Bowser places a kiss on his head then leaves. He walks back to his corridors to think. Maybe it was time for a change. For his kingdom. It always took time to rebuild the destruction of the Mario Brothers. Maybe Ludwig is right. If all Bowser does is kidnap the princess, What would junior learn? Their resources will die out and it'll be starvation to his people. Even if teaching junior of all this, it'll still show the main thing Bowser does. Junior should learn to love. And the right way for it. In a emotional way. Kidnappings Peach and trying to force the love to show. It wasn't a good choice either. They wouldn't be happy. Bowser sighed. He waited for 3 weeks to pass before heading to the mushroom kingdom. Now on his ship heading toward the castle cause chaos. Bowser got his troops to lower the ship the front. Mario was at the gate ready to protect Peach. Luigi looking somewhat exhausted just arriving a hour before.
"Peach I come to speak of a truce!" It wasn't long before Peach showed up.
"A truce?" The koopalings were shocked.
"I come to apologize for my kidnappings. I would like to make a peace treaty between our kingdoms. I realized how bad I mistreated you and my kingdom. I want a better future for my children. I understand forcing the love with only sadden you. I rather you wish you happiness." Everyone froze as Bowser dropped his head to bow. This was not something anyone has expected King Bowser.
"Are you serious, Bowser?"
"Yes. I will anything I can to win your trust. No tricks. I just wish a future for my kingdom. To spread the peace. And help in any need as well." Bowser really practiced his speech. He is really trying. And Telling Kamek was a shock to him. Wondering what was the change of heart.
"Father. Do you mean it?"
"I wish from the peace that my troops and children will be welcomed to your kingdom, and I will also welcome your toads as well to mine."
"This is very big of you Bowser. Very well. Please come inside and we will discuss the treaty." Bowser nodded and they were all led into the castle. The koopalings just shock from all this growled, except Ludwig. Ludwig couldn't contain his excitement. Being welcomed means he can see Luigi whenever he wants and Luigi as well in their kingdom.
"May my children be escorted to a room. I do not how long we will be busy creating this treaty."
"Very well. Toads. Please escort Bowsers children to the biggest room available."
"Princess Peach. I am sure the children will not like to stay in the room all day. As- a Bowser said. You may take long for the treaty. May I be allowed to take them in the garden to fresh air. I personally will be okay companying them." Bowsers heart swelled knowing his children will cause chaos being stuck in the room. Which is why he let's them roam free in the castle.
"Very well. Will that be alright with you Bowser? Bowser?"
"Yes of course. Kids don't give Luigi a hard time. Or the toads. Kamek is not here to watch you."
"Father we can't be with peace to them?! They are our enemies!"
"Father do we have to?"
"Yea! We don't want to listen to green Mario!"
"That's my Brother Luigi!" Mario started to argue with the children.
"Mario behave!" Everyone froze. It was rare for Luigi to yell. Even the Koopalings were shocked. Luigi started to shake from the attention. But Mario was getting mean when the koopalings may be just as confused as they are. Ludwig went to grab Luigi's hand.
"We're guest at the castle. Father has important things to handle so we have to behave. I want this to work so I can see Luigi, please."
"Luigi what is he talking about?" Mario butted in. Luigi looked down at the Koopa. Ludwig couldn't contain it. This is what he wanted. To stay with Luigi. He was afraid his siblings would affect the treaty. Ludwig really cares about Luigi. And Luigi was here shaking in his boots. Ludwig didn't want to lose him. If this causes them to run.... He'd be happy to watch Ludwig and fight off all the monsters that try to separate them. Ludwig is trying to be with Luigi. Even if it means giving up his home and family. He didn't want to lose another person he cared about. Luigi was the mother he always wanted.
"Mario..... I been sneaking to see Ludwig for the past year," Luigi admitted. If Luigi had to fight to see Ludwig. He will. He loves him and he loves his brother. His home here but it wasn't right to separate family. He knows Ludwig is afraid they'll take him away from him.
"What?! Lu you been seeing the enemy! You betrayed the kingdom!"
"No Mario I haven't..... Ludwig is a sweet kid. He is just following orders. They are kids Mario. Princess Peach I am sorry. But I love Ludwig as my own and don't punish them. Ludwig is afraid to lose me..... As I am to lose him. We want this treaty to work for both kingdoms." Peach was shock from this development.
"Luigi you betrayed the kingdom..... Have you known this?"
"I have..... This what motivated me to ask for peace. I am doing this for my kingdom and Ludwig. He loves Greenie.... I was not a good parent, but I want him happy. Seeing him with Greenie. Is the happiest I seen him. Not since I adopted them. As Luigi knows the plans of our kingdom, Ludwig as well but not one has told both parties to spend time with each other. If this affects the treaty I am sorry, but I will still allow Luigi to be welcomed to our kingdom. He will not be seen as a traitor nor my son."
"Lu.... You really mean it?"
"I'm sorry Mario....."
"Ludwig how could you side with the enemy!" Wendy yelled in disbelief.
"He's is enemy!" Morten yelled.
"He isn't! Mario was the mean one! When we fought it was Luigi who treated our wounds! The gifts I bring were from Luigi! Even the stories I told you! I just tell you I made them up or got them! He cares about you to! The troops even know! Luigi is nice! Kamek even knew and kept it secret for me....... I don't want to lose Mama Luigi!" Ludwig was crying. "Please don't take him away from me to...... I don't want him to toss me away to."
"Ludwig I won't ever Mio musicista." Mario watched as they yelled at the 2..... None of them knew.....
"Okay. Why didn't tell me?" Mario asked his twin. After everything.
"Cause Bowser was our enemy. I thought it'll be just once but..... I connected with Ludwig..... I love you Mario but....."
"Luigi is my famiglia." The twins looked at the Koopa. Mario froze..... It was always them two.... But Luigi called this koopa his family.
"You taught him our language." That weird gibberish they speak? Wait Ludwig has been learning their language.... So that writing on the trees was that language.
"And if you love me Mario.... You have to accept that to." Mario walked up and hugged his twin.
"I will always support you Weegee. But please no more secrets. We're brothers," Mario said placing their foreheads together.
"As you see. Luigi infiltrated my kingdom, and I am willing to let it slide. So do not punish the green Mario. I know I am asking much, but I would like no more wars."
"It is fine Bowser. I do want this kidnapping to stop as well. As I am a shock to this. I am grateful you did not cage Luigi even when knowing he was close to your kingdom."
"I could have but...... I hear my troops talk about him. He treated my kingdom with kindness so I would like their to be peace."
"I see that you have changed so the treaty will continue on. Luigi. You are forgiven from both parties."
"Thank you princess."
"But as the children are still not keen they will be escorted by the toads. If you wish to join them Luigi you may. Mario, I wish you stay by my side for the time being as we discuss the matter of this."
"Of course Peach."
"Will talk later Lu." Luigi nodded at his twin.
"Shall we Bowser." Bowser nodded. As Peach led him away he couldn't help but peak back to see Luigi hugging Ludwig happily.
Hours went by when the treaty was finalized. Bowser was exhausted. It was night time.
"That was exhausting."
"You're telling me."
"Thank you again about Luigi."
"I should be thanking you Princess. Greenie sure is a pain. I didn't know how much he affected the kingdom and when he knew about it, didn't tell you."
"He is Mario's brother. I should punish him but he has done so much for the kingdom.... I rather us be in peace. My toads will understand. It's for the greater of the kingdom. I will let the other kingdoms know about this treaty and let you know when to come by to have a meeting with everyone."
"Thank you princess." Peach as led them to the west wing of the castle where his children were at. "Good night princess."
"Night Bowser." Mario and Peach left. No toads stood guard. He was glad. As he walked inside he did not expect what to see. He see's Luigi fallen asleep. Junior in his arms, but all the koopalings around him sleeping peacefully. He didn't think the children would connect to Luigi so soon after finding out the truth. They did arrive the very break of dawn and it took a whole day for them to create the treaty.
Luigi peeked his eyes open feeling eyes on him. He see's Bowser looking at him. He was about to panic, but Bowser brought his hand to his mouth to shush. He gestures the plumber out the room. Luigi, carefully placed Junior with his siblings. It was hard to get out as the koopalings kept themselves close to him. He was able to get out. Bowser opened the door for them to get out the room.
"Sorry Bowser. I didn't me-"
"Is there a place for us to talk?"
"There's the garden?" Bowser shook his head. Luigi led the Koopa king. As Bowser followed the plumber, he noticed he wasn't wearing his usual clothing. He wore a green long sleeve with Pj pants. His hair was also messed up as well. It was rather cute to the king. As they arrived outside, they sat down next to the pond.
"I would like to thank you for watching Ludwig."
"That's not necessary. I'm happy you didn't see Ludwig as a traitor. He was worried about that."
"I never realized Ludwig felt that way. I may have giving the others to much attention. How did you get the other one's to like you?"
"O ummmm. They weren't a fan. After we brought them to the room. Ludwig asked to see the garden. They wanted to join so I brought them. They played a bit far from me but I stayed with Ludwig and we chatted. Then one by one came, asking questions. Confused about the matter. Then it started to get late and I brought them back, Ludwig wanted me to stay and I did. Junior asked to read them a story. I did and they started to sleep next to me. I past out as well since I arrived at the kingdom an hour before your arrival."
"Why didn't you warn the Princess?"
"I didn't want you to think there was a traitor. And if you found out Ludwig was the one..... I didn't want nothing bad to happen to him."
"You really meant when you didn't see us as monsters?"
"You're not a monster your majesty." Luigi said instantly.... Then it clicked to him.
"If you're wondering why I knew why.... I followed Ludwig the last time you saw him.... "
"H-how much d-did you hear?"
"Enough.... I.... It took me time.... A month to realize...... You really brought hope to my kingdom...... To my children. They even warmed up to you so soon. Sooner than I expected. You really impact them and others."
"O ummm. Thank you King Bowser."
"I would like to take you on a date." Luigi froze. Did he hear that right? "I.... Like you. You even lied to your own brother to see my son....... My son admires you...... I admire you..... I had to be sure..... If you need time to think of my proposal I understand but I do like you Luigi..... And I hope you give us a try." Bowser looked at the plumber seeing him red.
Luigi was blushing mad. He didn't think the king will ever see him. Something he wanted. Luigi has liked the king for so long and for him to return his feelings was to much.
"I-I don't know Ki-"
"Call me Bowser."
"Bowser are you sure you want me?"
"Yes. I had a month to think about this...... I just didn't realize...... from that moment and thinking about it before..... I can't deny these feelings...... I always want to put my children first..... And the determination you had to protect Ludwig from your brother. From me! Like how I couldn't fall for you more. My heart swelled in a way I couldn't explain. Even now you look cute to me looking confused." Luigi brought his hands up to cover his blushing face. Bowser really did love this man. He's just mad why it took him so long to realize it. He went down to Luigi's height. "May I kiss you?" This made Luigi look at the king stunned.
"You want to date me?"
"Yes. Haven't I said this?"
"Yes but.... Umm I'm just Mario's brother."
"You are you're own person. And I would like to know you more as well."
"Yes."
"Huh?"
"You c-can- a kiss me?" Bowser didn't think twice. He leaped forward to capture those lips. God did it send a whole new feeling to Bowser. He never felt this much to one person. Even Peach. As they broke apart, they looked at each other lovingly.
"Yes!" They both turned to see Junior jumping up happily and pulled back by a claw.
"Kids," Bowser growled. The all came out one by one.
"Sorry. We just hopped you wouldn't get mad at Mama Luigi," Wendy said.
"Mama Luigi?" Bowser look between them.
"Ludwig told us about the healing and Luigi's side as well. We accepted Luigi as our mother," Iggy said. Luigi was blushing now. The children were already calling him their mother.
"Like him better than Peach," Morton said.
"He read us a story to sleep to," Roy said agreeing. Junior ran up to them and jumped to Luigi. Luigi reacted fast and caught him.
"We like him a lot! And want him to stay with us! He's our Mama! Please Papa!"
"Junior. Luigi can come over as much as he likes to see us but it is his choice. We can't force him." Junior frowned.
"We can't kidnap him? So he can't choose?" Junior asked innocently.
"How about I go with you and everyone to the castle when you leave. I'll let Mario know I'll be gone for awhile. I do want to see Mario though. Maybe next week I visit?"
"Yay!" They all ran to hug Luigi. Ludwig stood to watch, He knew his siblings would love him..... But now they have Luigi's attention to..... That made him sad.
"Ludwig can I have a hug to. I want to see you to." Ludwig perked up hearing Luigi call him. He smiled running over to hug his mama.
"Alright time for bed."
"Awwwwwww." They all whined.
"Can Luigi sleep over?"
"Yea can he?"
"If he likes." Luigi smiled. He nodded. They all went back. Bowser set them on the bed. Placing a kiss and petting them goodnight.
"Can we get a kiss goodnight Mama?" Luigi happily gave them one on the head.
"What about Papa? You forgot about him." Luigi started to blush again.
"Kids." Luigi jumped up and placed a kiss on the Koopa's jaw. Bowser blushed from the affection. Yep. He loved this man a lot. He hears the children snickering to themselves.
"Go to sleep." Luigi realizing his hat was gone. He looked to find Junior was holding to it like a toy. He fell asleep already. He can get it tomorrow. He didn't know where to sleep. The only spot open was the edge of the bed. He looked at Bowser.
"Take it. I'll be on the ground."
"It's okay. I can leave to-"
"Then they would be sad to see you weren't here in the morning." He picked up the plumber and placed him on the bed. "Sleep." Luigi got comfortable but pulled the giant turtle to bed as well. He leaned into Bowser. Just 10 seconds of courage before Luigi gets embarrassed.
"Good night Bowser."
"Night Luigi."
