This is the kind of professor that makes you want to come to class. The material is well-explained, and I did not meet a single person that didn't pass his class. Moreover, Professor Talis is BEAUTIFUL.

The only complaint I have is his weird mood swings.

One day, he went to class with sad puppy eyes, head down, and dropped dramatically on his chair. He gave us some papers and told us to "do whatever" because he had a fight with his partner and was not in the mood. Maybe his wife threatened to leave without him. That's the only evident answer to him banging his head on his desk with tears in his eyes.

He was fine the next day tho.

Love him.

The reviews were getting out of hand.

Viktor did not care a single bit about them.

Jayce, on the contrary...

Notes:

Hello!

This is my first work on AO3 and generally speaking the first work I ever published.
This was written very spontaneously, and is mostly crack and fluff because we need it after Arcane's ending.
I splitted it into 7 parts, even if it's a small fic, so you don't get confused by all the POV's.

Also, sorry for any mistakes, English is not my first language.

Have a nice read!

(And a glorious evolution<3)

I am convinced that this man is a robot. Don't get me wrong, the guy is passionate about his work, but it just doesn't show. I had to suffer through two semesters of endless lectures, and trust me, there was never any emotion in his voice.

Prepare your blanket. And your tears. You're never getting more than a B because you'll never be good enough. I'm pretty sure he makes the material extra-hard to collect our tears and make it into some sort of eternal life or glorious evolution elixir.

At the end of the year we were only seven survivors.

Viktor didn't care how people saw him. Because he was pretty sure that if he started caring, he'd have jumped off a building at this point. People thought of him as a sort of human-turned-machine without any emotions. They also thought he was mean, and weird, and probably pathetic.

But really, it didn't affect him that much. People had never wanted to understand those who were different than them.

So when Jayce stumbled upon his Rate My Professor reviews for the first time, Viktor had to take hours to reassure his fully-growned man that it was not that bad, and that he actually liked his job.

"But Viktor, you're not like what they're describing. You know that, right? You just... approach your lectures differently. That doesn't make it a bad thing. I know you, you'd never be mean on purpose."

Viktor sighed heavily. Once Jayce had something in mind, he would never let it go. Mainly if it concerned his husband. Because he was caring and stubborn. And a bit overprotective at times.

"I don't need comfort Jayce, and I don't care what they say. I'm here to teach, not to babysit overgrown teenagers."

"But-"

"I don't care."

However, Jayce simply wouldn't let it go even days after his discovery, and Viktor had only so much patience before snapping back at him for getting on his nerves.
