until that boy is mine

Summary:

Mix often found himself admiring Earth from a distance, content to watch the man who had captivated his heart. Yet Earth was like an addictive drug to Mix—irresistible and consuming. The moment he felt even the smallest dose of Earth’s affection, he was hooked, unable to resist craving more.

That affection was intoxicating, a sweetness he couldn’t bear to lose. And Mix knew deep down he would do anything to remain by Earth’s side. For the man he loved, Mix was willing to risk it all. Earth was his everything, his reason to keep breathing, the anchor to his soul, and his very purpose for living.

Work Text:

The airport was filled with loud cheers and excited screams. Along the sides, people eagerly held up their phones, snapping pictures and recording videos as the man strode confidently through the crowd. He moved with an aura of authority, his posture commanding attention, as though he owned the entire airport. He had a powerful presence, exuding the aura of a domineering alpha. Every step he took seemed to demand respect, and the intensity in his gaze made it impossible to look away.

Mix’s eyes sparkled with excitement as he saw the man approaching his spot. He continued clicking away with his DSLR camera, capturing every moment, until he suddenly felt someone bump into him from behind. Mix stumbled forward, his balance thrown off by the unexpected impact.

He instinctively shut his eyes, bracing himself for a hard fall to the floor. But instead of hitting the ground, he felt strong arms wrap around his waist, steadying him.

A warm, earthy scent of sandalwood enveloped him, calming his nerves. Mix let out a soft sigh, unable to stop himself from feeling comforted in the stranger’s hold.

"Are you alright?" a deep voice asked, breaking through the haze of the moment.

Mix slowly opened his eyes, and they widened in shock when the face of the man he had been photographing earlier came into view. Their faces were so close, and he couldn’t help but stare, mesmerized by the man’s breathtaking features.

Earth Pirapat’s face was captivating—his sharp jawline exuded confidence, his smooth, tan skin seemed to glow under the bright airport lights, and his dark, almond-shaped eyes held a quiet intensity that seemed to pierce right through Mix. His perfectly sculpted nose and slightly parted lips added to his allure, and the hint of a smile tugging at the corner of his mouth made him even more irresistible.

For a moment, Mix forgot how to breathe, caught in the magnetism of Earth’s presence.

"Hey?" Earth called again, his voice soft but firm.

Mix snapped back to reality and straightened up, wincing as the pain in his ankle shot through him, nearly causing him to fall. Once again, he found himself in Earth’s strong embrace.

"You don’t seem fine. Do you want to go to the hospital?" Earth asked, concern evident in his tone.

Mix glanced around and noticed people still taking pictures of them. He couldn’t help but smile quietly, raising his gaze back to Earth. Earth was elusive when it came to the public, yet despite his tendency to keep to himself, he still had countless admirers—mostly people who admired his work as a painter.

He was more like a celebrity now, traveling overseas to auction his paintings. On top of that, he was known as a philanthropist, donating the proceeds from his art to various charities. He was truly the embodiment of a good human being.

This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be this close to Earth, and Mix wasn’t about to let it slip by.

"I'm sorry for being a bother, but yes, I do want to go. My ankle really hurts," Mix said, putting on a pitiful expression. His eyes shimmered with unshed tears, and his face carried a look of being wronged. His soft, innocent features as an omega made it easy for him to appear vulnerable. He also subtly released pheromones that signaled both fear and pain—completely exposing his fragility.

"Sir, we’ll take care of it from here. Please, you can go ahead," said one of the security officers standing next to Earth, shifting their attention toward him.

"No. It's my fan. I'm taking responsibility," Earth said firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument. The security officers stepped back, sensing his determination. Then, he shifted his attention to the person in his arms and asked, "Can you walk?"

Mix smiled faintly. "It really hurts."

Without another word, Earth wrapped his arms around Mix, supporting him at the waist and behind his knees. He lifted him effortlessly, as if Mix weighed no more than a feather. Mix instinctively wrapped his arms around Earth’s neck, finding comfort in the steady warmth of his body. He buried his face against Earth’s chest, inhaling deeply, savoring the calming scent of sandalwood. It became his favorite scent—the scent of Earth.

As Earth carried him through the crowd, Mix couldn’t help but smile, a sense of victory bubbling up inside him. He was close to Earth now, and it felt like everything was falling into place.

He never really intended to get close. He was content just admiring Earth from afar—watching every movement, taking pictures of him, following him wherever he went, and attending the art exhibits and charity events Earth frequented.

But when he experienced Earth's genuine concern up close and saw the way he was when they were near each other, he didn’t want to be apart anymore. The opportunity for them to get closer kept presenting itself, and no sane person would ever turn that down.

He met Earth when he was at the lowest point of his life. His parents had died in a car accident, and after the wake, his greedy relatives took everything they had. He was only seventeen at the time, not of legal age, and couldn't fight for himself.

He was alone now, with no one by his side. So what was the point of living? It felt better to join his beloved parents, wherever they were. At least there, he wouldn't be alone.

Slowly, he climbed onto the railings of the bridge and sat there. He stared at the dark water below, where the reflection of the moon danced on its surface. As he stared into the distance, a bitter smile crept onto his face. He took a deep breath, looked up, and closed his eyes, feeling the gentle breeze against his face.

It was so peaceful. For the first time since his parents died, he felt comforted.

It was a quiet, dark night, the kind that made everything feel still. The night, though peaceful, felt like the perfect moment to let go.

"Are you going to jump?"

Mix was startled, his eyes widening in surprise. He quickly turned his gaze to the left where a man was standing. He was carrying a bag in one hand and holding a canvas in the other.

Mix watched as the man set down his bag and canvas before effortlessly climbing up and sitting on the railings of the bridge beside him. Silence hung between them. Mix noticed that the man was a university student, judging by the uniform he wore, though it was a little dirty with faint splatters of paint.

Mix sighed and lowered his gaze to the water below the bridge. "Leave me alone."

"No. If you suddenly jump in there, I'll be the one blamed because I was the last one with you."

Mix turned to look at the man, furrowing his brows. His voice grew cold as he said, "That's why you should leave, so no one will know. Just let me disappear in peace."

The man also turned to meet Mix's gaze, and their eyes locked. For a moment, Mix was taken aback. It was the first time someone had looked at him without pity. Since the death of his parents, people around him always regarded him with sympathetic eyes, and that only made him feel more self-pity. He hated being pitied, but he also couldn't help feeling sorry for himself.

Once again, silence fell over them, but this time it was strangely comforting. As they stared at each other, Mix didn’t notice the tears beginning to form at the corners of his eyes. His lips trembled, and soon the tears began to fall, one after another, still gazing at the stranger beside him.

"I-I don't have any purpose to l-live now," Mix said, his voice breaking as he cried silently. "Just... just let me disappear, p-please?"

His words were a plea to vanish, but his eyes told a different story—they were pleading for help, pleading for salvation.

Mix squeezed his eyes shut when he suddenly felt the strong arms of the stranger envelop him. His sobs were quiet.

They say the most painful cry is the one that’s silent. It’s true, Mix thought, because he could feel it now.

Gradually, he began to calm down, and only then did he notice the comforting warmth surrounding them as they held each other. The soft scent of the man’s pheromones seemed to fill the air, a strange sense of peace settling around him. He then looked up.

"If you don’t have any purpose to live, then make me your purpose," the man said softly, but Mix heard it clearly. He couldn't help but be drawn into the man's stare—intense yet gentle, a complete contrast, yet somehow perfectly balanced. It was as though the world around them had disappeared, leaving only the quiet strength of this stranger’s presence.

"Live for me."

It was as if the words were a chant. Mix nodded, unable to refuse. He wanted to live, but before, he couldn’t find a reason. Now, though… now, there was something—someone—that made him believe in a reason again. The weight in his chest, the suffocating emptiness, began to lift a little. There was a faint spark of hope, fragile yet undeniable. The man’s words wrapped around him like a lifeline, and for the first time in a long while, Mix felt like he could breathe.

After that, Mix began to rebuild his life. He still had the inheritance his parents left him, money that couldn’t be claimed by any relatives. He continued his studies, determined to honor their memory, and at the same time, he became a quiet shadow to Earth, always following the man who had saved him.

He watched with a smile, as Earth, the one who had given him hope, also extended that same kindness to others. He saw how Earth offered people a chance, just as he had done for him. And with each passing day, Mix found himself growing stronger, not just for his own sake, but for the man who had given him a new purpose.

When Mix slowly opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was the sterile, white-walled room of a hospital ward. He had apparently fallen asleep during the journey. His gaze shifted to the door as it opened, and in walked Earth. Earth made his way toward Mix’s bed. His presence was undeniably strong and magnetic.

"They said the sprain isn’t too serious, but it’ll take about two to three weeks to heal. It’s best if you avoid walking for now to prevent it from getting worse." Earth sat on the stool beside Mix’s bed. "Do you have anyone else at home?"

"Yes," Mix replied, noting the subtle furrow in Earth’s brows. "My cats."

A smirk tugged at Mix’s lips as he watched Earth’s expression shift back to a gentle smile.

"That’s it? No one to look after you?" Earth asked.

"No," Mix replied, a touch of sadness in his voice. "And no one to feed my cats either."

"You can stay here for now," Earth offered, his voice calm and steady. "I’ll take care of your cats."

"No, I don't want to," Mix protested, shaking his head. "I want to be with them. They’ll be upset if I’m not around."

Earth let out a soft chuckle, and Mix couldn’t help but admire the sound. It was like music, very soothing to the ear.

"Hmm... Then if you really insist, you can stay at my place for now. I know it’s not ideal for an omega to stay at an alpha’s place, but pets aren’t allowed in the hospital. Don’t worry, I won’t do anything you don’t want. You’ll have your own room." Earth’s words were gentle, but there was a mischievous glint in his eyes.

"Alright." Mix returned the smiled.

Mix had been staying at Earth's condo for almost three weeks now. He was completely at ease and had no intention of leaving. When he first arrived, he discovered that Earth also had cats—more than he did, in fact. Fortunately, the cats eventually got along, even though they had initially fought.

Mix was willing to do anything, whatever it took, just to stay with Earth—to feel his care and constant attentiveness.

His ankle had mostly healed, and he could now walk around without much difficulty, as the swelling had significantly subsided. Feeling better, he offered to cook their meals.

While he was preparing dinner, he heard his phone ring. He put the ladle down and turned off the heat on the dish he was cooking—it was done. Then, he walked over to the couch where his phone was lying.

—————

Earth: Can we eat out tonight?
Mix: Why? I already cooked dinner for us.
Earth: Alright. Let’s just eat there.
Earth: I’ll tell you something later.
Mix: What is it about?
Earth: About you staying in the condo. Let’s talk when I get home. I have a client.

—————

Mix clenched his phone tightly, his grip almost crushing it. He stared blankly into the distance, his teeth gritting in anger. It had been almost three weeks already—was Earth planning to kick him out?

Just thinking about it made him want to lose control. What else could Earth possibly say to him? Staying at the condo? Everything there had the imprint of Mix and his scent, lingering in every corner, a constant reminder that this was his space now. This was their condo now. He had claimed it as his own. And Earth, too—Earth was his.

He felt the soft fur of the cats brushing against his feet, their attempts to soothe him futile. Their warmth did nothing to calm the storm raging inside him.

Mix smirked, his muscles trembling with suppressed emotion. Earth wanted him out? Fine. He would find a way to make sure that didn’t happen. He wasn’t going anywhere—especially not far from Earth.

Mix quickly moved to the door when he heard it open.

"Good evening!" he greeted cheerfully, smiling at Earth, who had just stepped inside. Before he could say anything more, he was suddenly pulled into a tight embrace. Without hesitation, Mix returned the hug, his hands gently stroking through Earth’s hair, savoring the familiar softness of it.

Earth crouched down so he could hold him better, burying his face into Mix's neck, his breath warm against his skin.

"God, your scent really is addicting," Earth whispered.

A grin tugged at Mix's lips as he closed his eyes, feeling a familiar rush of warmth spread through his chest. Earth’s pheromones, rich with the comforting scent of sandalwood, blended with the sweet, delicate fragrance of Mix’s daisy scent. The air around them thickened with the mix of their pheromones, creating an intoxicating atmosphere.

"Let's eat now, hmm? The food will get cold," Mix said as they stayed in each other's embrace.

"Alright. Let me change my clothes first."

Mix watched as Earth left and headed straight to his room. Mix went to the kitchen and grabbed one of the bottles of wine from the rack. He then poured some wine into a glass. Afterward, he took something from his pocket.

It was two medicine capsules—one blue, for rut inducer, and one red, for conception aid. Mix quickly took the red capsule and drank a cup of water. Then, he emptied the contents of the rut inducer capsule into the glass of wine. He mixed it by gently shaking the glass.

He knows that it’s a desperate move, but he doesn’t care. All he desires is to have Earth completely—body and soul. He wants to breathe in Earth’s scent, to claim him in every way possible, and to carry his child. It’s the only way he can envision them truly being together, bound by something deeper than mere love. That’s all Mix wants: to be inseparable from Earth, now and forever.

"What are you doing?" Mix’s thoughts were interrupted when he heard the familiar voice from behind him.

"Just pouring us some wine for dinner," Mix replied with a smile, turning to face Earth, who was now walking towards him. He felt Earth pull him closer by the waist.

Mix’s gaze lifted to meet Earth’s as he smiled sweetly at him. "Would you like to taste it? It’s your favorite—Chateau Lafite 1869," he offered.

Mix’s eyes sparkled, and he couldn’t help but grin wider when he saw Earth take the wine. He watched with amusement as Earth drank it all in one go.

Mix's breath caught at the sight. He watched as Earth's Adam's apple bobbed while he drank the wine. His throat moved as he swallowed, and Mix couldn't help but lick his lips when he saw the older run his tongue over his own lips after finishing the drink.

Earth placed the glass on the table. "We should eat, shall we?" he asked with a smile.

Mix nodded.

They sat down and were in the middle of eating when Mix noticed that Earth seemed to be releasing more pheromones than usual. Mix began to feel suffocated by it, his body growing warmer with every passing moment. He was used to Earth's pheromones, but not to this intensity. Was the rut inducer already working?

He secretly smiled.

"Earth?" Mix called out to the man sitting next to him. He was taken aback when Earth turned to face him, his eyes briefly flashing golden before blinking and returning to their usual brown.

"Hmm?"

"Are you okay? Your pheromones are overwhelming," Mix said, feigning concern as he tapped Earth's shoulder.

"Mix, can you help me?" Earth's voice sounded strained, his breaths coming in deep gasps.

"What’s happening? How can I help?"

"I don’t know... It feels so hot. I think my rut is coming, but I just had it last week," Earth said, confusion evident in his voice as he tried to stand.

"Can you help me walk to my bedroom? I don’t think I’ll be able to walk properly."

Mix immediately stood up when he noticed Earth nearly stumble. He quickly supported Earth as they walked toward his bedroom. With every step, the pheromones thickened, enveloping the condo more intensely. Mix's breathing grew heavier, and beads of sweat began to form on his forehead. His body was heating up, affected by the alpha pheromones Earth was releasing.

Once he managed to get Earth onto the bed, Mix felt his own knees give way, his strength draining as the effects of Earth's pheromones took hold.

It felt as if his instincts had taken over, clouding his mind, as he crawled onto the bed and moved closer to Earth, who lay sprawled out. Earth had one arm draped over his forehead, his eyes shut tight. His chest rose and fell with deep breaths, his flushed cheeks betraying his struggle. And his jaw was clenched tightly, as though he was fighting to suppress something.

When Mix got closer to Earth, he climbed onto his lap and sat down. Their crotch are just inches away.

"Earth," Mix called in a weak voice, smiling when Earth opened his eyes. He gently removed his arm from his forehead, while his eyes, half-lidded, were fixed on him. Mix crouched down and closed his eyes, leaning in to reach Earth’s lips.

It was just a peck, but when he opened his eyes, he saw Earth chasing his lips. He smiled again and kissed Earth, this time longer. They shared a loud and sloppy kiss.

Earth deepened the kiss, his movements filled with intensity. He gently bit Mix's lower lip, coaxing the younger to part his lips, allowing him to delve into the warmth within.

Mix felt Earth's tongue exploring every corner of his mouth, igniting a fire within him. He couldn't suppress the soft moans that escaped between their kisses. Their tongues tangled, a passionate dance as their mingled breaths filled the air. When they finally broke apart there is a glistening string of saliva connected their lips.

Mix's eyes were damp with unshed tears as Earth gazed deeply into Mix’s eyes. They stared at each other, their burning desires reflected in their gaze. Every breath they took was deep and heavy.

Unexpectedly, their positions shifted. Earth's hands found Mix's waist, his grip firm as he gently flipped Mix onto his back, laying him against the softness of the bed. Now towering above him, Earth's eyes roamed over Mix with admiration. He leaned in closer.

"You look so good lying on my sheets. Under me," Earth whispered.

Mix's cheeks flushed, a mix of shyness and desire washing over him. He looked up at the older, his breath hitching as the intensity of the moment filling every inch of the space they shared.

"You know what I was going to tell you earlier? I have a proposal," Earth whispered, his warm breath brushing against Mix's sensitive ear before he gently blew on it, sending a shiver down Mix's spine. "Would you live with me, Mix?"

A soft gasp escaped Mix's lips as he felt Earth's tongue trace the delicate shell of his ear. The wet heat of Earth's tongue, combined with the light pressure of his teeth as he gently nipped, made Mix's toes curl involuntarily.

"Answer me," Earth commanded, his tone shifting to something darker and more intense.

"Yes, Earth," Mix finally breathed out, his voice trembling but resolute. "I'll live with you here. I'll stay with you."

Earth's lips curved into a triumphant smile against Mix's ear. "I knew you'd say that," he murmured, his voice dripping with satisfaction.

Earth kissed him again, this time with an intensity that was unmistakable. It was clear that he was losing himself in the moment, his teeth gently grazing Mix's lower lip. Slowly, Earth's kisses moved down to Mix's jaw, leaving small, tender pecks along the way. The trail of kisses continued until they reached Mix's neck.

Mix's hand found its way to the back of Earth's head, fingers tugging at his hair to pull him closer as Earth's lips hovered over the sensitive omega glands on his neck.

"Earth..." Mix called out softly.

"Hmm?" Earth hummed in response, his attention still focused on kissing Mix. "I really love your pheromones... Daisy. It's my favorite flower," he murmured in a hoarse voice.

"Earth... Mark me." Mix's voice was a whisper, but it held a depth of longing that made Earth pause. He lifted his gaze to meet Mix’s eyes.

Mix’s gaze was heavy, his eyes slightly glazed, his cheeks flushed. A hint of tears shimmered in his eyes, creating the image of a beautiful mess.

"Are you sure, Mix?" Earth asked, his voice soft but full of concern.

"I'm sure, Earth. I love you," Mix replied, his voice trembling slightly as he lifted his hand to hold Earth's jaw. "I've never been more sure of anything in my life."

Mix watched, transfixed, as Earth's eyes glowed golden once more, the intensity of the gaze fixed on Mix's omega glands. A shiver ran through him as he instinctively gripped Earth's arms, unable to pull away. The moment Earth's fangs sank into his neck, a searing, fiery sensation surged through his body, making it impossible to move. The pain and pleasure mingled, overwhelming him in an intense wave.

Mix woke up to find Earth's side of the bed empty. Memories from the past few days started to flood his mind. Before he fell asleep the night before, he thought he heard Earth say something, but the words were too hazy to recall.

They had spent days confined to the bed, Earth leaving only to grab food before returning so they could continue what they were doing. Earth's rut had triggered Mix's heat, leaving them entangled in an endless cycle of passion and need that kept them in bed for so long.

For a moment, Mix lay there, staring at the ceiling before slowly sitting up. He was wearing Earth's oversized shirt and boxers, his body sore and craving a shower. Limping slightly, he made his way toward the door of Earth's walk-in closet.

It was his first time stepping inside, and the sheer size of it left him stunned. Rows upon rows of clothes filled the space. As he walked deeper inside, his eyes roamed until something unusual caught his attention. A solid wall seemed out of place. He moved closer, pushing aside some shirts, and there it was—a wooden door, partially hidden behind the garments.

His breath hitched. For a moment, Mix hesitated, unsure if he should proceed. But curiosity overpowered him. He reached out, his hand trembling as he gripped the handle. It was stiff, but with some effort, he managed to turn it. The door creaked open, revealing a dark staircase leading downward.

Confusion and intrigue surged within him. On the side, he noticed a light switch and flipped it on. Without a second thought, he descended the stairs, each step echoing softly.

At the bottom, Mix froze in his tracks, his eyes widening at the sight before him. The room was filled with canvas paintings—of him. Every wall was adorned with images of his face. Some showed him smiling, others sleeping, and some simply staring into space. But the centerpiece was impossible to miss—a massive half-body painting of him on the bridge where he and Earth had met for the first time.

Mix's chest tightened as he stared at it, his heart racing. His mind swirled with questions and emotions when he suddenly felt strong arms wrap around his waist, pulling him back against a firm chest.

His breath caught. Earth's presence was unmistakable. A deep, hoarse chuckle rumbled near his ear, sending a shiver down his spine.

For the first time, Mix felt genuine fear. Earth felt dangerous—like an enigma he didn't fully know.

"You think you're the only one obsessed here?" Earth's voice was low as his grip around Mix's waist tightened.

"I know what you did back in the kitchen," Earth whispered, his tone laced with amusement. Mix froze, his body stiffening as Earth's laughter sent chills down his spine. "I let you drug me, Mix, because I wanted it too."

Mix swallowed hard as Earth's hand caressed his stomach. "I'm sure there's something inside you now," Earth said, his voice dark with satisfaction. "I made sure to bury not just my fangs but my seeds deep within you."

"And I trust that the conception aid you took will do its job," Earth murmured, his words heavy with dark certainty.

Mix's breath hitched, his chest tightening as the weight of Earth's statement sank in. A wave of disbelief and vulnerability washed over him, yet he couldn't bring himself to pull away.

"You're mine now," Earth declared, his voice possessive and commanding, each word like a chain locking Mix in place. "After years of waiting." Earth's arms tightened around him, a grip so firm it felt as though he wanted to bind their souls together, leaving no space for escape.

Mix shivered, caught between the conflicting emotions raging within him. His mind screamed for him to resist, to question, to fight back—but his body betrayed him, melting into Earth's embrace as if it had been yearning for this moment all along.

Then, Mix felt the soft press of Earth's lips against his omega gland, where the mark the older had made was placed. His eyes fluttered shut, and a strangled gasp escaped his lips. The sensation was intoxicating, sending warmth flooding through his veins. It made him feel safe. Wanted. Loved.

Mix doesn't care about anything anymore. Earth has accepted his obsession, just as he has accepted Earth's obsession with him. But it has to be only him. Only Mix.

"My mark looks so fucking good on you."

"I love you, Mix," Earth whispered, his tone softer now. "You and our baby—you're my life."
