Acepie theories
~Time to do a little theorising~
This was not written to be coherent or rly to be posted. If I have posted it, I’ve either run out of content or I’ve got a good theory. I’m doing this analysis to try to work out who Wilbur and Quackity are, and along the way I appear to have assigned several other characters as well
I deeply and prematurely apologise for the doubtless countless mistakes and misconceptions I’m about to make, I am more than happy to be told my ideas are fucking ridiculous, most of this was written at midnight and I’m sorry
I am writing this not really as any sensible theory or anything but more as a place for people to share their ideas on this little puzzle Flame’s given us and to exorcise the brain rot I’ve been suffering lol :)
On that note, here we go with every username in order of appearance in each chapter and my notes on them
Chapter one (author: MyPasswordIsPassword)
MyPasswordIsPassword123: posted the first fic, I don’t think either of them have the courage to do that ngl
OneForSorrow: yeah I think this is Q he’s very fond of Magpie
Flaming_Tiger: intrigued. Could be Will
Aliens_R_Us: not much to say
TntGEEK: based off username and mocking Will alone this might be Q
Ghost_Writer: intrigued
AcepieMyBeloved: username is too obvious. Not either of them (but I match their energy)
Salamander_Puddle: artist. Unlikely
MushroomPuff: intrigued
Chapter two (author: OneForSorrow)
OneForSorrow: this bitch is so Q, he knew Ace was a shrike, he’s way too sympathetic to Will, I have Theories
MyPasswordIsPassword123: very genuine, seems like an actual fan tbh
Aliens_R_Us: hmm they turned up again. Still not much to say about them
TntGEEK: I’ll say it again about the username lol, has the same aggressive affection for Magpie as OneForSorrow. Also a contender for Q, but that would mean Will posted something and idk he’s a coward
Ghost_Writer: wrong accent. Not much more to say
Flaming_Tiger: hmm. They be up to something but idk what
Problematic_Acepie_Enjoyer: congrats this username broke my autocorrect. Anyway, they may have made the subreddit. And it sounds self deprecating enough it could be Will
xXairbringerXx: again, wrong accent, but tbh I could imagine either of them being uWu ppl

Owl_Bear34: lol they are so surprised Ace is anything less than terrifying, and I’m weirdly fixated on the fact they used the word ‘pretty’ but it’s probably not important
SilverStars: feels like there’s symbolism in the username. Idk. Honestly sounds like Tommy

TheGayElf: bit too absent and uncommitted to really make a judgement ngl

Problematic_Acepie_Enjoyer: oh hello again. Keen on shrike Ace, but I think this is actually a point against it being Q, because, y’know… he knows he’s a shrike

Ok. That’s all my info. Now you get to watch me brainstorm what to make of it.
Quackity
Everyone that could be Q: OneForSorrow, TntGEEK
I think that makes it OneForSorrow ngl that’s a nice easy one plus helps me out for Will because it means he can’t have posted anything.
Wilbur
Everyone that could be Will: Flaming_Tiger, Problematic_Acepie_Enjoyer, MushroomPuff
It really could be either of them, but probably not MushroomPuff. I’m slightly inclined towards Flaming_Tiger purely because I don’t think Wilbur would be that obvious with his username, but then again I’ve no idea what the symbolism behind a flaming tiger is. Does there have to be any?
Ok I returned with more research on fire tigers. I’m using the Chinese zodiac here it seems the most obvious.
First of all, 1986 was a fire tiger year, and that’s only a decade off irl Wilbur’s birth year (1996), but that could be a coincidence.
Secondly, characteristics of a fire tiger include *checks notes and raises eyebrows* strong, faithful, aggressive and gentle. Could just be zodiac wu but that sure sounds like our magpie (I sound like a conspiracy theorist hear me out ok?)
Thirdly, the fire tiger symbolises passion and power. I really might be digging too deep here but this shit is backing me up so far
So that’s my ‘evidence’ but y’know I think I’ll stand by this theory
Conclusion
Fucking hell idk when this thing turned into a dissertation but here we go.
OneForSorrow is Quackity (see his fondness for Magpie, his knowledge that Ace is a shrike and overall enthusiasm)
I’m less sure about this one, but I’d say Flaming_Tiger is Wilbur, based off mild involvement and symbolism behind the zodiac sign. I’m not certain.
Overall, I’m like 50% confident. Maybe 65%.
Late additions:
Shit guess who only just fucking read the comments on the original work? This girl with executive dysfunction and zero memory. So ppl seem to think Wilbur is Ghost_Writer, and… yeah I don’t see it. I stand by my theory. OMFG GHOSTBUR I’m A FUCKING IDIOTTTT AHHH. Shit, ok. Wilbur *may* be Ghost_Writer, and the ppl in the comments are far smarter than I have any hope of being. Nope wait JamieTheGoat00 tysm you have validated my theories thank you.
Also I’m stealing some of their prompt suggestions :P this thing is literally going to consume my life I still need to write a Christmas special T-T
God I sometimes forget this is a genuine, massive fandom and it’s not just me screaming into the void. Makes me feel kinda tiny, ngl. Still can’t believe og authors read my shitty fan girling. Like- I really can’t fucking believe it. Flame leaving kudos always feels like some cross between a fever dream and results day lol. Sorry. But… I love Ao3 <3 it’s nice to find people like me. Even if they are so much better and I can literally only hope to one day do them justice. EmiWritings, FlameDraco, and so many other authors… you’re amazing. I don’t have much more to say. You literally feel like celebrities to me, and then you go and even slightly notice me… this whole thing feels crazy. I love being an author :,) All done now! Went on a bit of a tangent XD
