Chapter Text
The Miller family had applied to be a host family for a foreign exchange student and after jumping through all the necessary hoops, had been approved for the program. They said they were open to taking in someone from anywhere and learning from their culture. They couldn’t wait to meet their new temporary family member. The family as it was now included the mom, Kathy, 39, the dad, Michael,43, and a 15-year-old boy, Adrian who had red hair like his mother and curly hair like his father. . They also had a dog and 2 cats and lived in a two-story house in the suburbs.
After several months of waiting, the big day was finally here. Excitedly they all got into their family car and drove to the airport. It was a bit of a drive to get there. On the way there they discussed what they might expect.
“So, what do we know about our new temporary child so far?” Kathy asked.
Michael, who had been the main contact for information on the exchange program.
“Well, she’s a girl, but you knew that already”.
“She is from a country I am not familiar with and don’t even want to attempt to pronounce, and I can’t really find out much about them or their culture.” he continued.
“That is one of the reasons we are taking her in, isn’t it? She learns about our culture; we learn about hers?” Kathy replied,
“Indeed dear”, Michale replied.
“The agency seems to like to keep us guessing when it comes to certain details however”
“What was her name again?” Kathy asked.
Michael tried to read it but wasn’t sure if he said it correctly. Eubera, Oobera? It was spelled Ubera.
They arrived at the airport and walked to the terminal where she would be departing, Terminal 6. They waited at the terminal where she would be arriving and called her name and held one of those signs that you see in movies, with the name on it, and there they saw her, a blond girl with braids, a bit older than Adrian. She had what looked like a towel over her shoulders. She was barefoot, which seemed odd but no big deal. She clung onto her luggage as if it were a part of her outfit. As soon as Adrian saw her, he had an instant crush, she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Wait, they were going to be house siblings, was this allowed? He thought to himself. They weren’t real siblings, it should be fine, he told himself. His infatuation was complete when she came up and gave each of them a hug, all the while never letting go of her luggage. Ubera walked behind them as Micharl led the way. Adrian held her hand to lead her. As she got in the car Michael got her bigger luggage and put it in the back but she insisted on keeping her handbag on her lap. They tried to have a conversation in the car ride home, but Ubera’s English was limited, so when they dd ask her questions, they limited it to simple “yes/no” questions such as “do you have any brothers or sisters?”. When they got home she grabbed her luggage the same as she had at the airport. Kathy and Michael showed her to the extra room where she would be staying, right next to Adrian’s room. She we into the room and closed the door as she got her stuff (toiletries mostly) and started putting it away.
“Well, I think we will have a lot to get to know about her. She seems like a sweet girl” Kathy said.
“Yea, she does” Adrian said, still infatuated.
“Well, we will have almost a year to do so” Michael said. “Then she will go home to her own country in June, and we will all miss her dearly, I am sure.”
Kathy got started on dinner while Adrian and Michael watched TV in the other room.
About an hour later Kathy had them set the table and then told Adrian “Could you go get Ubera and invite her for dinner?”
“Oh yes mom!” he said excitedly.
He went and knocked on her door.
A moment later Adrian came back to the table, especially wide eyed. “She’s here” he said and pointed behind them in an almost zombie like trans. Kathy and Michael looked where he pointed, and their jaws dropped. Ubera was standing there, not a stitch of clothing on.
Adrian's eyes widened as he took in the sight before him. She had a body that could only be described as flawless, with perfectly formed breasts rounded and firm. Her curves were placed in all the right places, accentuating her figure in a way that left him breathless. From her slender waist to her shapely hips, every line of her body was a work of art, leaving him in awe of her beauty. It was like she had been sculpted by God himself, a masterpiece of beauty and sensuality. He couldn’t help but stare.
Kathy was the first to talk “Oh honey we wear, um” she started but then, thinking surely there must be some cultural misunderstanding and remembering that they were to learn about each other's cultures without judgement.
“Yes, miss mama?” Ubera said.
“Oh, never mind,” Kathy said, “come sit down. And please call me Kathy”.
As they all sat down, they said a prayer for the meal, with Ubera following along with what they said.
They all sat and ate dinner together, never again bringing up her state of dress, or rather lack of dress, trying to act like it was normal, because maybe it was normal for her. Even Adrian kept it together, mostly, but he would catch himself staring from time to time.
It was soon learned that she didn’t bring any clothes, just the towel she had over her shoulders when she first came in. They had never noticed as her luggage had obscured her.
“Ok well goodnight.” Adrian walked to his room and Ubera to hers.
