Chapter Text
The door cracked open, a small head peered around the door surveying the interior of the bedroom, slowly and quietly the door inched open ever wider and a small child tiptoed into the room, he managed to make it about a thrd of the way to the bed before the excitement took hold and he broke into a run.
Daphne was woken from the depths of her slumber due to being landed on by a three-year-old child, the ripple effect of the landing woke Harry and Hermione who were on either side of her.
“Merlin child if I look at the clock and it says anything earlier than seven I will feed you to a hippogriff,” cracking an eye open Daphne saw the small face with bright pink green and purple hues rippling through his hair, “can you at least chose a static colour for your hair, please?”
Teddy giggled and his hair steeled into a nice neon orange, “Orwang”
Harry sniggered, “Yes Teddy, Orange!”
Teddy started bouncing on the bed and was quicky relocasted to a safe space between Daphne and Hermione, “Pwesents, Unca Hawwy!”
Hermione wrapped her arms around the energetic young wizard and pulled him down into a hug while Daphne started to tickle him.
Harry sat up as Teddy started to howl with laughter, he stood up and after moving around the bed he plucked Teddy up, “Nope, no tickle fights this morning, let’s get you down to the kitchen and see if we can’t finds some breakfast,”Bending back down he gave Hermione and Daphne a kiss on the forehead and then left the two witches to get ready face Christmas day.

Arriving in the kitchen Harry saw Tonks was already arguing with Doby about who would make breakfast and the Auror seemed to not be winning the fight. Walking over to the table he placed Teddy into the highchair and looked at the clock.
“Well young man you pushed it fine this morning, ten minutes earlier and Aunt Daph would have fed you to Buckbeak.”
Tonks snorted, Ten past seven eh, you guys have it easy I was woken at five forty, that was rude.”
