Chapter Text
The sun was shining, and people were covering their eyes to shade them. Kids’ laughs echoed in the park, making us grunt and wish they could just keep silent for as little as a minute.
“Ahahhaa! YOU CAN’T CATCH ME!” Shouted a kid, running happily, knowing he couldn’t be caught. But is that true?
With a quick movement of his head, he peeked behind him—his eyes widened in horror!
"No... nO!... NOOOOOOOO!” He cried as he sprinted as fast as he could,
“HELP ME, NOOO!! MAMA! HELP!!” He cried harder, his heartbeat running close to the same speed as he was sprinting.
No one seems to have heard his cries; no one would turn their head enough to even help him.
"OUCH!” He cried the moment he fell—Tap.
“Ugh, finally caught you.” Loud breathing inhaled and exhaled out of the boy's mouth as he tried to catch his breath.
“Freeze!” Said the guy, happily, just as he finally caught his right rhythm of breathing.
His friend, on the ground, was defeated as he froze in his place. He was caught, and he lost. He was supposed to be the true hero, yet he saved no one. “NOOOOooo.....” echoed his cries in the wind chased by the airplane in the sky.
“You may put the crown on each other’s head!” Finished the priest as he smiles happily at the almost-wedded couple while he promises them with a large leaf, in place of a book, in his hand.
One flower crown, loosely made, was picked up from the shorter friend's hand and was gently placed on the head of the slighter taller than him kid, standing on the opposite side, who smiled sweetly at him.
The slightly taller kid on the opposite side also picked up a flower crown, in a much better state, and placed it on the shorter kid's head. He, too, returned the smile, his eyes closing as cute giggles escaped.
“You may now kiss the husband,” said the friend, aka the 'priest.'
Slowly, hands landed on the shoulders of the short kid, and a brief kiss was printed on the still-standing kid’s forehead, causing the said kid to let out more cute giggles, his eyes closing from the movement once again.
This made the taller kid also let out giggles, as he went back to his place, replacing his tiny hands from his 'husband’s' shoulders to grabbing his hands.
“We’re married!”
Grabbing the hand of his ‘husband,’ the short kid ran to his mom—leaving the 'priest' who went to play by himself—giggling happily.
“Mom! Moooom!”
“Oh! What’s wrong, baby? That’s a cute crown you have.”
“Hehe, thank you, mom. That’s my ring,” said the short kid, still holding the other’s hand.
“Your ring?”
“Mhm!” Nodded the kid aggressively.
“Just like the movie we watched, but because there was no ring, we made a crown!” The five-year-old kid explained happily as he pointed at his flower crown, slightly better than the six-year-old's.
“Well, isn’t that such a smart idea, hm?” The mother thought out loud, booping her son’s nose.
Her eyes traveled to the kids holding hands and looked up at the so-called husband of her son and smiled.
“Take good care of my son, will you, gentleman?” Joked the mom.
With an aggressive nod, the so-called husband promised the mom. Amused, she patted his head, earning cries from her son, “You’ll ruin his ring!”
“Haha, kid, so serious. Don’t worry, I won’t mess it up too much,” smirked the mom, still amused but now by the behavior of her son.
“Well, kids, off you go. You’ve got another hour before we need to leave. Collin, your mom will pick you up after,” reminded the mom as she looked at her son’s best friend, aka, his husband.
“Okay, Mrs. Rose, let’s go, Kenji!” Beamed Collin as he dragged his best friend to play, or as they would say, go on their honeymoon.
