Chapter Text
Ghost sits in the hospital room surrounded by beeps and machines vrring in the background. His hand holds his lovers tight, his skull balaclava muddied with how much he’s cried these past handful of weeks. Johnny looked wrong, hooked up to all those tubes and IV’s.
“Merry Christmas, Johnny.” Ghost says, soft, sad smile making its way to his face. He lean down, pressing a kiss to the wound on the side of his head. He can taste the salty tears still soaked in the fabric of his mask.
The kiss lingers.
The hand in his tightens briefly “…merry Christmas, Simon…”
Ghost’s eyes widen and he jolts back to see those pearly blues.
Open.
Finally open.
“J-Johnny…?” Soap chuckles. “Aye, ye forget what I look like already?” Simon rips off his mask and lunges forwards, kissing his lover. His lips are warm when he returns the kiss.
Tears fall between the two. Their first Christmas as Simon and Johnny. Not Ghost and Soap, but Simon and Johnny.
The first of many.
