Wait it out

Summary:

Furina knew where her friend lived, but she had never personally visited her, and she did not think that she would visit her.

Work Text:

"Good evening," crooked smile, "can I wait out the rain?"

Furina, with her hat clutched to her chest and a jacket hanging on her arm, looked like a wet puppy with dirty paws after a walk. Her hair was stuck to her face in several separate strands.

Clorinde looked her up and down.

"You don't usually show up in this alley...?"

"It won't hurt to take a walk along the new route in the evening!" Furina twisted away, and then somehow guiltily lowered her head.

"It will hurt. Your health is due to the cool weather in addition." Clorinde immediately said, and moved away from the passage into the house, "come in. You'll spend the night at my place. They say the rain will stay overnight. "

The former goddess impatiently wanted to hug her from such kindness, but immediately thought about the stupidity of the planned act and quietly walked to the living room, which caught the incredulous look of the duelist.

"Come on, I won't bite when you're sleeping. Relax." she examined Furina once more, especially the stuck shirt in which the girl was left, "take it off too, you need to dry it. "

Furina hesitated. Clorinde had never been so open in all her time working with her, not even alone.

"What are you... I don't have any night clothes at all, how are you..."

Clorinde folded her arms, grinned at the girl's intense embarrassment and headed towards the bedroom, motioning Furina to follow her. Before she could look back, she had a long light shirt in her hands. There are a few dents, but it doesn't matter right now.

"It's fine for one night," Clorinde said, not having time to hear her friend's opinion about the clothes she had given out, "change your clothes and you can go straight to bed. The time is late. "

Sleeping in the same bed is a good idea. Furina herself did not want, to be honest, to lie somewhere far from her friend on the couch and toss and turn from visible discomfort. She carefully lay down at the edge, trying to take up as little space as possible so that both the hostess of the house and the girl herself would be comfortable at the same time.

"Good night. If you wish, we can have breakfast together at my place tomorrow."

The night light went out.

Furina couldn't sleep. At first, she stared at the ceiling full of darkness with her arms crossed over her stomach, and then she began to look for a normal position for a normal future sleep. The pillow had already been adjusted a hundred times, the blanket was lying at the feet, and the girl herself was tossing and turning and thus was able to wake up her whispering friend. As soon as she turned to face the previously sleeping Clorinde, Furina was grabbed by the waist.

"Maybe you'll lie down normally this way?"

The girl was not going to do nothing, and she snuggled up to Clorinde, hugging her around the waist in response.

"Sorry. Good night."

The rain outside the window did not stop.
