Analysis of the girls:
1. Tammy: As we saw in the first chapters of the series, in her debut, she seemed to play the role of a villain. More than a villain, we could refer to her as an antagonist, since the only "bad action" we saw from her was making fun of Molly. Is there anything wrong with that? Well, it depends on the perspective. But if we look at it from Tammy's point of view, she was an arrogant captain of a good team, respected by her teammates. We can confirm this when Georgie leans in to hand her the bat. In conclusion, we could see her as a captain who had to play against a girls' team from a town known for not winning or standing out in anything. If we put ourselves in her shoes, it’s understandable that she acted arrogantly and underestimated Molly. And well, after that, we already know how the episode ends.
2. Quinby: Most of us know her for her beautiful design; I literally fell in love with her even before knowing her name. She's perfect for my tastes. The first time we see her is getting off a bus with Tammy's team, except for Tammy herself and Georgie, because she might have been busy, and Georgie is from Brighton and studies there. It's also curious how Tammy came to know Georgie and how the two of them became friends and eventually convinced Georgie to join their team, but anyway, we're not here for that.
"Initially, I thought she would be like Tammy, 'An arrogant captain of an excellent team who, in the end, lost by underestimating the rival team.' But no, I was surprised that she was different. Even though both are from Perfektborg, Quinby acted... well, correctly. Maybe it's because she had a mentor who taught her those values, but I was also surprised that Gabe, Jai, and the others participated when they had to lose on purpose, as I believe they were already influenced by Tammy's pride, but they accepted Quinby's plan to lose on purpose.
In the end, they won anyway.
Just look at her face, she really wanted to help."
Conclusion:Each one is the opposite of the other, with Tammy representing her pride in a more intense and carefree way. She trusts her abilities as captain, so she doesn’t care how her rival acts. Quinby, on the other hand, is more cautious, somewhat tough, but in reality, she's an angel. I say this because when Molly was 'spying,' thinking she was hurt, Quinby didn't hesitate to try to help her and even assist once she understood the situation.
We could say that their personalities clash, and that's okay. I’d like to imagine a scenario where they have some sort of rivalry in an episode where Quinby and Molly try to teach Tammy the value of friendship, with Tammy being a bit... Tsundere. I don't doubt that she’s open, but only with the people closest to her, who I suppose are her teammates. This is beautiful. Quinby is more human than Tammy, we already know that. We also know Tammy is arrogant, proud, and a bit selfish, but that’s not a bad thing. It could lead to great development. The potential is there; it just needs to be exploited.
After all this, I can only imagine a scenario where Tammy and Quinby become a couple. At first, it might be a secret, but knowing Quinby, she wouldn't have any problem making it public. However, Tammy is more closed off and Tsundere, so she wouldn’t tell anyone except someone she trusts, like Georgie. Quinby would probably tell Gabe. I can already picture someone like Tammy trying to be romantic in her way with someone as extroverted as Quinby. It’s so cute.
This could be the only story where Quinby is mentioned, which is a bit sad.
I’ll leave an image with a fanart of the couple.
This is how I imagine their relationship would be.
I clarify that I’m not the author of the image, I just posted the text.
And after all this talk, the conclusion is: long live Tamby, damn, what a great ship."
