Work Text:
Alex was not all powerful . . . ok well Alex is kind of all powerful that doesn’t mean Alex gets to do whatever they want! . . . Ok they don’t get what they want this time!
“Morgan, are you plotting my demise?” Alex sounds giddy at that.
“Nooo?” Morgan hesitated, don’t hesitate, hesitating means Alex will know!
“You know I can read your mind right?”
“Stop doing that! Mind reading is not cool!”
Oh nooo, it’s not cooool! Morgan hears in their head. “G’yaaah! No out! OUT of my head right now! Not Cool!”
“Jeez, no need to yell. I’m right here.”
“And I’m ignoring that you’re right here because you shouldn’t be right here. This is my lair. I don’t bother you in your lair!”
“My lair has adequate security, is in Antarctica, and you definitely went there to steal things when you thought you’d get away with it.”
“But, you weren’t there trying to work. It was a heist. It’s completely different.”
“Nah, pretty much exactly the same. I’m here on a heist too.”
“You can’t have my Sidney Crosby jersey! It’s the 2014 limited edition team Canada jersey and it’s signed! I had to do so many favors to get that jersey! I’ll have you know that Sidney...”
“Shh.” Alex put a finger to Morgan's mouth before the rant could get any more steam. “While interesting, I’m not here to steal your precious jersey.”
“Oh.”
“Yea, I’m kidnapping you.”
“That would explain why I’m tied to my chair.” Morgan nodded looking at the ropes. “Why?”
Alex began wheeling the chair towards the elevator. “Because you haven’t slept in three days. You’ve only drank coffee for two, and when I brought you a sandwich you nearly took my fingers with the sub.”
“You brought me a sandwich?” The elevator dinged. “You fixed the elevator?”
Alex slammed their fist into the panel of floor buttons as they left, “Oops.” They grinned. “Guess it’s broken again.”
“Alex no, why wait, why did you kidnap me just to go back to the apartment.”
“Hawk missed you, and it’s movie night. It got to choose tonight.”
“Horror movie?”
“It made an algorithm.”
“You have to make the popcorn or I’m not holding your hand.”
“Fine.”
“And no snapping it into existence, it doesn’t taste as good if you don’t actually make it!”
“Who’s tied to the chair?”
“Exactly, who can’t make the popcorn and won’t squeeze your hand right before the scary part so you can close your eyes like a child so you don’t cry in front of ours?”
“Next time I’m kidnapping Ohio.”
