Work Text:

It was a fine morning. Everyone hated Mondays, but Jimin was built differently. He liked Mondays because they gave him a sense of confidence that it was another week for wonderful opportunities. He liked to make people happy. He was humming to a song while cleaning the workstation of his coffee shop, 'The Cuddle Cup.' He was a graduate, but he had always wanted to own a cute little café, and hence he was here. It was a cozy and warm café with simple and cute decorations, just like him.

His eyes shifted to the door as he heard the bell at the entrance cling, signaling the arrival of Taehyung, his best friend. Taehyung was carrying Serendipity, Jimin's cat, in his arms. "Jimin-ah!" Taehyung greeted him with a smile. "She was at the entrance, curled up. I think she was waiting for my arrival. You don't love me enough; watch and learn from her."

Jimin laughed and said, "Kay, brat. Setup the machine." They got busy as people started to fill in to get their dose of energy to keep up with their day. There was usually less work at mid-day. Jimin was preparing an iced Americano with a splash of milk to soften the flavor, as ordered by a boy. He placed it in a tray and started pacing towards the table at the very end. But unfortunately, his ankle got twisted once he neared the table, and he spilled the coffee all over the boy's pants. He panicked and started apologizing, bowing many times. He gave the boy a paper towel.

The boy said, "It's okay! I'm fine. Are you okay? I think you twisted your ankle." Jimin replied, "Yeah, I'm alright. But I am extremely sorry. I can lend you my pants; my house is just upstairs." The boy just smiled and accepted it, since he couldn't go out wearing white pants with a coffee stain on them. Jimin took him upstairs and gave him a pair of baggy cargo pants, which were too big for the boy to fit in. "You can change here, and the bathroom is just at the corner. Feel free to use it; I'll be downstairs."

Jimin went downstairs. Taehyung was smiling politely as he served coffee to a middle-aged man. Once he turned, he was smiling teasingly at Jimin. "Oh, Jimin-ah! What's with you and the handsome boy? I can't believe you fell for him this soon, hahaha!" "Oh, shut up, Tae. I didn't fall; I just twisted my ankle," Jimin said, trying to hide his blushing face from the laughing boy.

Jimin prepared another iced Americano and placed it on the counter, careful not to spill any this time. The boy came down wearing Jimin's pants, which fit him perfectly. Jimin just noticed how handsome he was! "Umm, I'm once again sorry..." "Jungkook," the boy said. "Yeah, I'm sorry, Jungkook. Here's your coffee." "It's okay. I can't get angry at a cute barista, can I?" "See you!" Jimin blushed furiously as he watched Jungkook collect his things and leave. Jungkook turned and winked at Jimin just before heading out.
