Work Text:

Lumine was getting a bit tired from how much she was walking, but nothing that she haven't done already.

Talking with Paimon, she suddenly went silent, hearing a distant melody in between the trees of the mountain. With careful steps, she approached a figure, sitting on a rock, with a little bird nearby.

As if feeling her presence, the girl turned her head to look at the traveler, a gentle smile appearing on her face.

“Hello. Are you lost?”

“No, I was looking for someone, actually.”

The girl, hearing this, chuckles at Lumine's words, motioning for her to come closer.

“You came looking for me?”

“Are you yn?”

“Why, yes. And I assume you need me to fix something for you?”

The girl, now with a name - yn - didn't looked frustrated or anything, surprisingly, even a bit happy to help.

“Yes, actually,” Lumine handed her a small basket, some parts being broken “I need this to gather some materials for today. Can you finish it before night?”

Yn looked at the object, analyzing it, and then nodded.

“I think I can. Come back before sunset and it'll probably be done by then.”

“Thank you! Paimon will bring you something in return.” the little flying girl said, to which Lumine looked at her curiously.

“Since when were you this friendly Paimon?”

“Hey! Can't Paimon thank her for helping us?”

All of them laughed, before saying their goodbyes.

Looking at the sun, it was right to assume that it was going set very soon. So, Lumine and Paimon went back to the mountains.

After a long walk, they finally spotted the girl, still humming something as she watched the sky.

“Oh, you're here! I managed to finish your basket.”

Lumine was given the object, putting it in her inventory pocket, a small smile on her lips.

“Thank you. Here, we got this for you.” The girl waved her hands in a dismissive way, smiling at Lumine.

“Ah, no need! Don't worry about it.”

“Are you sure? It's a thanks for fixing the basket.”

“I told you, no need to worry about it.”

Not wanting to insist too much, the woman nodded, ready to go back to Liyue Port again.

“Goodbye!” the girl exclaimed, already going to another part of the mountain.

Paimon looked back, yelling a quick “Bye bye!” before continuing with Lumine.

Maybe they'll find the girl again sometime.
