Work Text:

Yeosang was always interested in learning more about Wooyoung. find out what's hidden inside this sunny boy.

Wooyoung is a bright, happy and cheerful soul. he always gives only goodness and comfort to those around him. many do not understand him. calls too carefree and sometimes 'childishly spontaneous'. but Yeosang seems to find that charming about him?

its so nice to be with Wooyoung.

Yeosang considers him his haven. his soulmate, with whom he feels a special connection. they are so different, but they complement each other so well.

the sun and the moon have always been and will be together until the very end.

Wooyoung calls Yeosang his sun. Yeosang disagrees with this statement. it seems to him that he is a moon, for sure. still bright and charming, but a melancholic and calm moon.

Yeosang doesn't know what attracts Wooyoung to him. they are so different? but the younger yearns to be closer to his hyung.

____

at first glance, the proposal to 'go and ride the subway all night' sounds very strange.

what is so interesting in it? Kang uses public transport almost every day and does not see any fun in it. but somehow you don't want to refuse Wooyoung, even if the offer sounds so specific.

i like being around you, even if we're doing something silly or boring.

----

he really didn't lie.

it really was that great.

the night subway feels completely different. Kang is used to the routine of the morning subway. huge crowds of people hurrying about their business, annoyed and sleepy faces and the coolness of the morning. everything.. as usual.

he never took the subway after midnight. almost empty subway stations make it possible to move around the station with ease without pushing through crowds of strangers.

Wooyoung laughs loudly as she passes several people, holding Yeosang's hand. they run across the large square of the underground station, jumping into the subway car that was about to depart moments after their arrival. the subway car is completely empty, except for a few tired faces, most likely returning home after a long day at work.

Yeosang had never seen such empty wagons. he was used to having to fight bravely with other passengers for a free seat early in the morning. the subway car looks much larger than usual.

Yeosang does not notice how the train starts to move, and before he has time to grab the handrail, he loses his balance. Wooyoung quickly pulls Yeosang to him by the hand he's been holding the other's since they ran into that wagon. the older one quickly falls into Wooyoung's arms, snuggling against his chest.

' - did you fall asleep? you have to hold on! ' - teases the elder Jung, pressing him tighter with the hand he caught him with a moment ago.

' - i didn't noticed, thank you.. ' - Yeosang laughs softly, embracing the younger man by the waist, leaning his head on his shoulder.

Yeosang often thinks about Wooyoung. even now, standing in his arms. his legs are starting to swell from standing for a long time, but he doesn't want to let go of these hugs.

Wooyoung is warm. warm as the spring sun.

Yeosang often thinks about Wooyoung. why is there something about him that other people he knows don't have? Jung is like a warm, fluffy cat that warms you by softly purring next to you.

even now, he stands and quietly humming some unfamiliar for Yeosang song, swaying slowly from side to side, as if dancing with him.

Kang picks up on the rhythm of the younger man's movements and begins to sway slowly with him, causing Wooyoung to smile brightly. he smiles sincerely, closing his eyes.

Wooyoung rests his head on the top of Yeo's head, which rests quietly on his shoulder, rubbing against it like a cat.

they travel several more stops, stopping at transfers, chaotically changing their route.

the destination is not that important.

they dance in empty stations and run on empty subway car. falling without keeping balance; laughing, as if for the last time in his life.

this is the first time in Yeosang's life when he does not think about what is happening around him and what others will think. he lives in the moment here and now.

with his sun.

time passes imperceptibly. just as imperceptibly they reach the final station. it seems that none of them have been in this part of the city before, but this is even more exciting.

by the time they go up to the surface and leave the subway station, the street is pouring with torrential rain.

' - i told you that it's gonna rain! told you! i will never listen to you again in my life! ' - laughs loudly and shouts in the Woo's direction Yeosang.

' - well, you was right, my bad. ' - complains Wooyoung, quickly picking up on the elder's laughter.

they wait a moment for the weather to calm down at least a little and leave from under the canopy of the subway station, walking towards the alley lit by street lights.

they walk and laugh, telling each other silly stories, reminiscing about their past adventures and discussing them.

so different, yet so similar.

hundreds of stories and adventures bind them together. these emotions experienced together is the cause of such a strong connection between them.

they pass an endless number of previously unfamiliar streets, reaching a small quay in front of the river that runs through the entire city.

they sit down on a little bridge, still wet from the rain. it's a bit chilly by the water, including getting wet in the rain that's slowly letting up. from this place there is a very nice view of the city. the breeze gently stirs the water, which makes it beat against the walls of the quay.

rain clouds float quickly across the sky, revealing the night stars that are scattered across the sky. they reflect very prettily on the water, which makes this whole picture even more charming.

the stars are really very beautiful today.

Yeosang has never been a fan of the stars, but that doesn't stop him from admiring the view while sitting on this bridge.

they sit in complete silence, enjoying this evening here and now. this silence is not awkward at all, on the contrary, it is very comfortable.

i like to be silent next to Wooyoung. there is something special about it.

Yeosang, distracts himself from his thoughts, shifting his attention to the person next to him. he turns to Wooyoung and sees him.. sitting and admiring him?

and it doesn't look like he just accidentally glanced at the older.

... he was looking only at me all this time.

' - what? is there something wrong with my hair? ' - Yeosang actively begins to run his fingers through his wet hair.

Wooyoung just shakes his head negatively in response, smiling lightly.

' - mine is much worse, i believe. ' Yeosang lets out a laugh from his lips and shakes his head in agreement.

he moves closer and starts fixing the mess on Jung's head. the older one combs Woo's dark hair with his fingers. he brushes away the strands stuck to his forehead from being wet.

gentle and delicate, as always.

everything Yeosang does towards Wooyoung is so careful. as if he is afraid to melt the younger one with his touches.

' - you have very warm hands.. ' Wooyoung takes Kang's hand and puts it to his cold cheek.

huh?

Yeosang did not expect this. he gets a little lost, which makes the tips of his ears turn red.

he is really so cold compared to my hands..

Yeosang cupped the younger's other cheek with his left palm, rubbing both sides of his face with his thumbs. his heart beats terribly fast.

hundreds of thoughts in his head violently replace each other, not having time to convey information.

i think my heart is beating loud enough for him to hear.

he runs his eyes across the face infront. he is afraid to do something very stupid, while being nervous.

but a warm smile and eyes filled with love seem to be waiting for something.

' - can... i..? ' - says Yeosang softly, almost in a whisper. the smile in front of him becomes even wider and brighter.

' - ...please. '

his lips are as cold as his skin.

Wooyoung cups Yeosang's face with his equally cold hands, touching his warm skin.

but i don't want to move away from it at all. on the contrary, i want to press him closer. warm up with the heat of my body, touching the skin with warm fingertips, wiping the raindrops that run down your face from your wet hair.

____

you learned a lot that night.

that i've wanted to take you on some stupid night date for a long time or that the only stars i looked at that night were in your eyes.

but the most important thing you learned is that the coldest moon can warm even the hellishly scorching sun.
