Chapter 1: The stupidest mission Dazai’s ever heard of

Chapter Text

Dazai hated Wednesdays.

Wednesday’s were the days that Chuuya had lessons with Kouyou. Wednesday’s were the days that Dazai had to check in with Mori.

This particular Wednesday, Dazai was sitting across from Mori, draped unprofessionally across a black rolling chair, and spinning around whenever Mori spoke.

“Now now Dazai, you’re going to want to listen to this, it has to do with the outside, you know.”

Dazai slowly came to a halt, stopping at the perfect position, his eyes meeting the doctors.

“The outside? This better not be another hero messing around with the barrier.”

Dazai hated those heroes. When quirks appeared and started becoming more widespread, the already existing ability users, and some ‘quirkless’ people, ended up in Yokohama, and cut themselves off from the quirk users. Because of this, and the fact that Yokohama didn’t have any spandex suited saviors, most outsiders thought that it was a terrible city run by criminals. And so subsequently heroes have been trying to break through the barrier and ‘save’ the citizens ever since.

Dazai thought it was nauseating.

“Not quite, Dazai. There is a group of heroes who want to break into Yokohama and save us.”

Well, probably not you. Dazai thought. Although he wouldn’t put it past them. He sighed.

“So? Do you need me to deal with them?”

Dazai internally groaned. Stupid heroes and their stupid hero complexes. He was having a bad day already.

Mori grinned creepily, as he did when he was about to pull something truly slimy.

“Well yes, but not in the way you’re thinking. You see, there’s a villain that goes by All for One.”

“And?” Dazai responded, already done with this conversation. Plus he didn’t like the look Mori was giving him.

“His quirk allows him to take other people’s quirks. He’s been amassing power as of late, and he’s too far along now. He could become an annoyance.”

“So you just want me to dispose of him?” Dazai asked warily.

“Ah, essentially. Although currently, he is being kept in a max security prison. So, if we just broke in, that would draw too much attention to the Port Mafia.”

Dazai gave Mori a blank look. “And what am I supposed to do about it? Just send in an assassin or something, the heroes are all idiots.”

Mori smiled. “Well Dazai, why would I do that when U.A. kids get mixed up with the villains all the time? And I happen to have two perfectly sized mafiosos for the job.”

“WHAT!?”

—————————————————————————————————————————

Chuuya was in a surprisingly good mood today. He had lessons with Ane-san, which means the mackerel didn’t have any time to annoy him. At least, until he was done.

Currently Chuuya was bracing himself as he stepped out of Kouyou’s office, looking down the hall for Dazai, who was usually twice as insufferable after losing two hours of time to mess with him. However, he didn’t immediately see him. Odd.

Chuuya headed back to his apartment, and sighed as he saw the window was open. Dazai could break through the door just as easy as the window, but insisted on being dramatic.

As he walked in, he saw Dazai slumped against the wall, holding a bottle of- of-

BAM!

“DAZAI!”

Dazai looked up from the floor dizzily, rubbing his face where Chuuya had punched him. His other hand was holding a bottle of CHUUYA’S wine.

“Ahhhhh, hey Chibi… you look even smaller than usual! All three of you…”

Chuuya was seething. Dazai didn’t even like wine! After snatching the bottle back from Dazai, Chuuya noted that at the very least it was his least expensive kind. But still.

“Dazai, may I ask you a question?”

Dazai blinked. Even in his inebriated state he could tell that Chuuya’s voice was eerily calm.

“Yessss, Chibi?”

“WHY IN THE FUCK DID YOU THINK YOU COULD BREAK IN HERE AND DRINK MY WINE!? I know for a fact that your tiny mackerel brain isn’t developed enough to appreciate it, so there’s no point in you drinking it, plus it’s MINE!”

Dazai sighed, tuning out the barking. He hadn’t even broke the news to Chuuya yet. Today was going to be a long day…
