"UNCLE, YOU ARE SO STUPID!"
Alan froze, shock visible on his face as he watched Jeff slam the door behind himself, running off to who knows where, which set off his alarmed Alpha senses, barely registering Babe's voice on the other end of the phone since he called him, wanting to see if the younger maybe had an explanation for Jeff's sudden mood swings, until the Alpha began basically shouting so that his pack leader could hear him.
"P'Alan, did Jeff leave?"
"Y-Yes..."
"Don't worry, Charlie just said that he is on his way to our place." Babe was quick to reassure him, which helped Alan relax - while he wished his Omega, his Jeff, was with him in their home, his brother and Babe's place was the next best thing. "Did something happen?"
"Well, I came home from work as you know, and I greeted him as I typically do but then I noticed that he was different than usual, so I asked him about it while calling you to see if you knew anything and well... the rest is history."
"Phi... seriously?"
"What!? In my defense, I can't keep up with you younger guys sometimes." he did *not* pout, thank you very much. "Not that it matters much, I'm worried. If something is off about him while he is at your place, please tell me?"
"Of course I will, assuming he wants to share that is." Babe corrected himself. "Phi, did you check your bathroom?"
The question was sudden and, before he knew it, Alan found himself making the small steps needed to get to the downstairs toilet, unsure which bathroom the other Alpha meant but deciding to start there since he found Jeff nearby. After a while of searching around - even in the trash - he found something that shook him to his very core...
"W-what!?"
"I guess you must have found it then, or at least something similar from what I was thinking." the younger man continued to fill the now pregnant silence. "It was just a guess on my part, Jeff and I aren't that close but I know he isn't normally like this so I thought this could be it... P'Alan, you need to talk with him. Whatever you decide to do, Charlie, the rest of the pack and I will be there for the two of you. I would say congrats but I will save that for when you two make your decision regarding the pup/s. I will go talk to Jeff now and see if he feels up to talking with you tonight, he just arrived here. See you soon, Phi."
The line cut off, leaving the stunned Alpha alone with the pregnancy test.
Well, his and Jeff's lives were certainly about to get more interesting...
