Work Text:

Alastor sighed, posture dipping forwards slightly as he did. The noise that came from his fully extended antlers when he moved caused him to cringe internally, his grin the very image of perfect. Inside, he was annoyed, but he also couldn't help but melt at the sight in front of him. Asher kneeled in front of him, upper body wrapped in an adorable red sweater, legs donning the black leggings that hugged her thighs perfectly, fluffy golden colored foot-warmers on her feet. The doe didn't wear her beanie today, opting to let her ears be exposed with her silky black hair pulled into a ponytail, the strands curly from not being straightened.

But her laugh, gods, her laugh made all the difference. The Radio Demon would forever sit like this, bells and garland and dried fruit on string tangled in his antlers, normal black pants but an itchy red sweater to match hers, if only to see her smile and hear her laugh like this. So carefree. All in the privacy of his bedroom. The grass of the swamp was painted white with snow, the waters frozen over, yet.. Alastor felt no chill. A strand of garland fell in front of Asher's nose, and the demon watched as her nose twitched a little before she let out a sneeze, little stars floating down towards the carpet of his bedroom floor before she quickly caught them and brought them to the bayou in his room.

The little stars drifted into the grass, boxwood sprouting from the frozen grass. Asher watched them for a moment before returning to Alastor, pausing when she noticed the look in his eyes. The doe tilted her head. "What? Why're you looking at me like that for?" She asked, lips curling into the same smile that steals the buck's breath every time he sees it. His eyes soften as he uses his magic to gently pry the decorations off of his antlers.

Alastor stood up, his antlers returning to their normal size, and takes Asher's hands in his. "Nothing, you're just absolutely breathtaking, my dear." He mutters, swooping in and stealing a small kiss from her lipstick covered lips. Asher giggles again, this time at the black lipstick smeared on his lips, and Alastor didn't care in that moment. It was just him, and the one sinner who knew him better than his own mother knew him. His mama.. he sure did miss her. The buck was sure his mother would've loved Asher, such a sweet soul in such a foul place.

She belonged in heaven, there was no doubt about it, but he was greedy. He'd never allow her to fly into the pearly gates of paradise. The doe belonged to him forever, there was never going to be a doubt in his mind about that, even if he didn't have chains around her neck. She was loyal. The only one aside from Niffty to be so loyal to scum like him. He quickly silenced those thoughts, Asher would have a fit if she knew he was thinking negatively. He couldn't- wouldn't- ruin this day for his sweet little mate.

"You make one hell of a reindeer, Al." Asher giggled, and Alastor simply chuckled. He could hear her cute little tail wagging underneath her sweater, though he couldn't imagine the material felt very good against her tail.

By the time Alastor was done cooking, the doe felt like she could eat an entire family. The smell of the food made her even more hungry, drool peeking from her lips before she shook her head and settled with helping Alastor prepare plates, his antlers were extended again but only a little this time, dried oranges on string entwined with his antlers. They sat down together and enjoyed the food, Alastor's gaze not leaving Asher for even a second. A certain warmth blossomed on her cheeks, tinging them a light pink and making the white freckles on her face glitter and twinkle. She was like a constellation, so pretty but capable of causing damage.

"You are stellar, my dear." He tells her, bringing her hand to his lips and placing a chaste kiss to her knuckle. She gave a flustered chuckle.

"Stellar?" She asked, tilting her head.

"Like a star; more than beautiful, the closest word I could ever fathom to call you my dear. There will never be enough words in the english language or even french to describe you in my eyes." His words only served to make her blush harder. "I adore you, sweetest." He purred, leaning in to place a kiss on her nose.

The doe scrunches her nose up in response, this time letting out a cute giggle. "I thought you didn't like touch?" She asked, melting into his touch as he held her face.

"Only you, darling, only you." He whispered, smile softer than she'd ever seen.

"Hey Al?" She called, mischief shining in her pale gold eyes. He knew no good could come from those eyes, yet he was in too deep to really care. She could gut him and put him through the worst pains imaginable and he'd still smile at her and thank her for it. He was doomed.

"Yes, my dear?" He asked, raising a brow playfully at her.

"Time to put the decorations back on!" She sang, picking up another strand of garland. Alastor laughed loudly, shaking his head but going ahead and kneeling in front of her, antlers extending.

"Of course, darling."
