Nagireo Christmas!

Summary:

Two hopeless romantic boys during Christmas time! Some Christmas nagireo 🎅🧑‍🎄🎄✝️ I’ve decided I want it to be one big story instead of multiple skits in different chapters.

Notes:

Have fun reading! I encourage you to comment tips and be as harsh as you can!
This is my first ever nagireo fanfic and first ever! Here is just some fluff because I’m allergic to angst ;) hope you enjoy and I’d love some suggestions! This is a Christmas edition so sorry if it gets posted after Christmas I just started really late. I’ve actually decided to make it one big story instead of multiple, so sorry for any confusion! There will still be multiple chapters though! You can hate if you want, but I won’t respond. That’s all!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Part one nagireo friendship stage. Date December 1st, 2018

Chapter Text

It was December first, 8:30 am time. The time of year Seishiro nagi couldn’t bring himself to like as much as others. Sure, he likes to take a walk through the market (not like he’s gonna buy anything) and look at all the Christmas decorations located nearly everywhere, sure some could say it was fun. For others that is.

It’s not like he’s bothered by the idea of Christmas, it’s just that he doesn’t have anyone to celebrate it with. He stopped receiving gifts at the age of nine when his parents left, so he kinda forgot how Christmas works. It doesn’t matter, giving gifts to others and sometimes even receiving them is just a hassle for him. Well, his feelings changed this year you could say at the least.

This year, it felt weird to him. Like it was, different.. in a way he couldn’t describe that is. What was it? What made this year so special? That’s when the thought finally came to mind. “Oh, maybe that’s it. Yeah it’s gotta be.” The one thing that made this year different from the last, and last, and last. It was him.

Mikage reo. That’s gotta be it. Nagi still felt emotions for him that he’s never felt before at all. He’s still trying to figure out both Reo’s emotions and his own. He can’t really tell what’s going through his mind. Well, not like he’s been experienced with reading emotions anyways.
After all, he’s still trying to figure out his own. “How do humans work? Ugh, what a hassle to think about.” He really couldn’t understand any of it. Just because he was very smart, doesn’t mean he wasn’t an airhead.

Well that’s Reo’s goal after all. To make him feel special. Or, at least that’s what he thought. He surely showed it by calling him things like, his “treasure” or maybe his “partner” or things like that. If he didn't know any better, he would have thought Reo was trying to hit on him. If he were a girl, it would be obvious. That’s just the beauty of romance. But they have only known each other for about half a year so, that’s just a stupid thought. “Why do humans like me have to have stupid thoughts?” He thought to himself.

As he was about to fall back asleep, he decided to check the time. The white haired boy reached for his phone lazily. As he picked it up, the time read 10:12.

Had he really been here thinking to himself for 3 whole hours?! “That’s actually quite impressive for me.” Seishiro says to himself. Well, I better get ready so I can… he had lost his train of thought due to sudden realization. “Oh crap, I was supposed to meet up with reo at 10:00 wasn’t I?” The white hair boy says to himself in a slight panic. Not enough to trigger his heart to race or for his voice to shake, but he also felt slight sadness for some reason. “What the heck?” He thought to himself “why am I feeling this way?” He said. He didn’t panic for anymore time after that because he came to the conclusion that Reo would most definitely forgive him. “I have to hurry at the least. I hope Reo isn’t sad or lonely right now.”

He hurried to get dressed and brushed his teeth. When he had finally finished getting ready, the clock read 10:34. Seishiro knew he had to hurry now. The last thing he’d want to do was make reo feel lonely or small. He really didn’t know why he was concerned about all this anyway. He never found himself worried about what someone else thinks. I guess Reo is just that amazing then. Seishiro had no more time left to think. He had to hurry to Reo’s place. When he realized, “I can text him. Why didn’t I think of that before.” He sent a message to the purple haired boy that read…

“𝐫𝐞𝐨, 𝐢’𝐦 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐈 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮, 𝐈 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐩𝐭. 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧, 𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐲.“

He noticed that Reo had read the message. As Reo was typing nagi hurried out the door. When he looked at his phone again there was a message from reo that read, “𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐞? 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐨𝐤𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐲!“ Did he need a ride? He decided to respond fast with a quick “𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 :𝐱“

A few minutes later, let’s say about five to ten, a car pulled up in his driveway. He went over to the car, and entered sitting next to Reo. He looked over at the purple hair boy and was surprised at what he saw. Reo was holding a latte in his hand with a cute smile on his face. “I figured you’d sleep in, so I got ready and waited for you to text. Seems like that was the right call right?” There it was, the very thing that made nagi confuse Reo for perfect. How did he manage to memorize Seishiro’s personality to the point where he knows exactly what nagi will do as a choice. He was quite impressed at how Reo did this in just a span of 6 to seven months. “Oh, thanks for the drink Reo.” Nagi said quietly. He was still both confused and astonished at the same time. “Well? What should we do first nagi! Maybe Christmas shopping? Or going to my house to decorate cookies or decorate. As Reo went on and on, the white haired boy could only really be mesmerized by his smile and the way he got so happy and excited to talk about something so small and simple. Reo and Nagi were polar opposites when it came to that kind of energy. Well, as they say, opposites attract.

In the end, they actually made a list of what to do. And by they I mean Reo.

1. making hot chocolate/ all other kinds of Christmas foods and treats.
2. Decorating a Christmas tree together.
3. Go to a Christmas market.
4. Having a Christmas themed movie marathon in their pajamas. (Nagi’s suggestion)
5. Go into a drive through Christmas light park.
6. Wrap presents.
7. Make a Christmas playlist to listen to all December.
8. Gingerbread houses.
9. Inviting over Chigiri, and maybe kunigami for a Christmas game night. (Nagi didn’t like this one)

“Well nagi, what do you think?” “Huh?” Seishiro says with confusion. “Which one should we do together first!” In nagi’s head, he wanted to do the movie marathon in pajamas. He could most likely get away with falling asleep in Reo’s arms and not waking up until the movies were finished, but on the other hand, hot chocolate sounds pretty dang good right now. He came up with that conclusion. “ I guess we could make hot chocolate and cookies? If that’s okay with you.” “If it’s okay with me? Of course my treasure ❤️” Reo responded with joy in his voice. “We can do that now!”

When they had arrived at Reo’s house, he immediately ordered Ba ya to go to the store and pick out cookie recipes and buy hot chocolate powder so they can make it fresh. As ordered, Ba ya went to the store, And got a box of cookie mix she thinks both of the boys would like. Seishiro himself didn’t know, but Ba ya was an expert at getting to know people in just a span of maybe a month. That might be where Reo got it from. It’s a little sad to think Reo probably spends more time with Ba ya than his parents, but it makes sense. They are always working and busy after all.

By the time Ba ya had arrived back at the house, Reo and Nagi were up in Reo’s room when she brought the supplies to them. When Reo and nagi had received the supplies they figured they’d make a playlist to bake to and have fun. Nagi also suggested they change into comfortable clothing such as pajamas. After all that was done, they were ready to bake.

The cookies Ba ya had bought were Christmas snickerdoodle with red and green frosting and sprinkles that were shaped into different things. Some were shaped like a Christmas tree, others like a Santa hat or gingerbread. Ba ya had also bought that for them, it just was a long time ago. She mainly bought them for Reo not knowing nagi would stop by, but there was enough for the both of them, so they made that too.

Seishiro personally thinks baking or cooking is a hassle. If it isn’t already prepared or sealed for him like the jelly packets at his house or goldfish that Seishiro buys occasionally, it isn’t worth putting in the effort to make something to eat when people can do it for you. Nagi didn’t really help with the baking, but he’d sometimes hand Reo the ingredients he needed which made the purple haired boy smile brightly and cutely. Nagi is scared to admit it, but Reo has the most mesmerizing and adorable smile he’s ever seen.

He’s known this from day one after all. When they first met back at the school stairs, he could barely tell what Reo wanted to ask him or say to him. All he could bring himself to pay attention to was the boys beautiful and sweet smile. He’d forgotten that Reo had asked him to play soccer with him because all he could think about was Reo’s beauty.

It wasn’t a mystery how he was the most popular guy in school. And damn, he knows how to take care of his appearance like gold. I’ve never even seen him have so much as a bad hair day (what Seishiro goes through every day.) his face just speaks for itself. His skin so clear Seishiro asked himself if the boy was actually glowing. It’s also so soft. Nagi feels embarrassed to think this, but he loves to touch reo. His skin is just so soft and smooth to resist. And he’s lucky that Reo doesn’t mind, and actually might prefer physical touch. But he’s come to notice how Reo wears mainly long sleeves and coat in winter. Which isn’t out of the ordinary at all. But he misses caressing his soft skin once in a while. Seishiro most all of the time wears big baggy hoodies and sweat pants. He doesn’t care about his appearance like Reo does at all. But it’s normal in winter for everyone to wear coats and jackets. Maybe he could get Reo to wear a short sleeve tonight.

He could go on and on about Reo, but he’s noticed they weren’t talking much at all was something bothering him? Well he’s never been good at trying to find out that stuff so, he’s just gonna back off for now. Well on another note, at least the good thing about baking Christmas cookies is that you get to eat them after all the hard work of preparing them. He’s said before that both eating and chewing were a hassle, but his real reasoning might’ve actually bent so that he can pretend to hate chewing so Reo could feed him. He wasn’t sure how this would reduce chewing in general, but at least Reo was feeding him. Wait a minute, I’m talking about Reo again aren’t I? Dang it. He’s all I can think about. Is there something wrong with me? Or rather, Reo.

Once again he’s noticed Reo hasn’t said a word to him. It’s strange, why hasn’t he been speaking at all? Wait, did I say something wrong? Seishiro cant help but think to himself. He looks over at Reo and his expression once again, confuses him. It might be a look of relief and nervousness but, it’s weird he’d be feeling both of those emotions at once. Maybe happy and anxious? Seishiro can’t help but wonder why he’s so bad at reading expressions. Especially his best friends.
