Chapter Text
"Hello, Otto."
Ottos eyes went from wide to a half lidded smirk as he entered his bedroom. After a long day working at Oscorp, all he wanted was to be home with his gorgeous wife.
The red lingerie with lace she wore certainly... peaked that want. She laid elegantly on their bed, a red candle illuminating the room. Her body ever so was the centerpiece.
Otto whistled. "Goodness. You look magnificent, my sweet Rosie." He quickly sat on the bed and examined her like a beautiful endangered species of bird. "You sure love to spoil me, don't you?"
Rosie giggled softly as she scooted close to her husband. Otto let out a breath of relief as she gently began to undo his shirt and work clothes.
"You look more tired than usual. Did something happen at work?" She prided gently as she rubbed his shoulder. "Norman isn't giving you any trouble- is he?"
Otto shook his head, at ease as she finishes undressing him down to his boxers. "No, he's been quite helpful my love." He sighed. "It's just..."
"Mh?"
"The place I booked for us tonight canceled on us. Used our seats for regular VIPs. Stupid." He muttered. "We got our refund, sure, but everywhere else is booked...what utter morons."
To Otto's surprise, Rosie beamed. "What a shame, I didn't want to get dressed anyways. Maybe we can order takeout instead," she rubbed his neck, where the actuator chip connects to his spine. He let out an involuntary shutter.
"...I'd like that," he leaned over and kissed her cheek. He crawled into bed where the two curled up against each other.
Despite the demonstration accident, their love and marriage grew stronger. Rosie got hurt, yes...but only a few cuts to her cheek and face.
Otto couldn't have imagined if it was worse than that.
He delicately rubs his thumb against her scarred cheek and neck. It's only been a few months since the demonstration disaster.
He was glad it was him that sustained more injury. Thankfully, due to Norman's overview before the launch, he caught one mistake that would have fried his chip if anything were to go wrong.
Maybe in another life, Norman wasnt there and part of him would have died.
Now permanently latched onto his body, Otto's had to accept the fact that this was who he was now.
A man with multiple actuators, physically attached to his back.
A freak.
A monster.
He still wasn't used it. The public looks at him with pity. Maybe, Rosie's secretly repulsed that this is the mangled man shes married to-
"I'm not embarrassed with them around. They're still part of you."
Otto blinked. He watched Rosie cup his cheek with her small hand.
"You...heard that?" He looked away, leaning into her touch. His actuators chirp and hovered innocently over them in bed. "Stay down," otto gruffly commanded to them.
The acutuators jerk back softly from the upset tone. Otto rubbed his head. "Rosie, I still dont understand-"
"Why I love you? You're the same man I fell in love with on the college steps 20 years ago." She took ahold of his face and gently lifted towards her.
"...I still can't help feel like a freak." A monster.
His actuators chirped sadly.
Rosie's heart broke. "You are most certainly not a freak," She established firmly but kindly. "You are my handsome husband, who I love so." She gently rubs along his spine.
" I love every part of you. You too," She points at the actuators. They happily chirp and whirr mechanically.
That manages to get a wet chuckle out of Otto.
"They said thank you," he placed his face in her neck. He could smell the strawberry dove shampoo from her hair. "You smell so good..."
Rosie chuckled, rubbing his cheek. Otto looked up, and took a good look at his wife.
Wow.
He would go insane without her.
"20 years I've been the most happiest woman alive," Rosie whispered. "Happy anniversary Otto."
"Happy anniversary dear," They began to kiss, Otto not caring for once that the actuators were hovering over them.
They pulled away, breathing heavily. The married couple hasn't had time for themselves since the accident happened a few months ago.
Rosie began undressing.
Ottos eyes widened. "Wait, dear."
Rosie grinned. "Yes?" She slowly began undoing her lace bra. "You seem...excited."
He gulped.
"Very," He begins to sweat profusley. "I have to restrain myself to not pounce on you, woman."
Rosie raised a brow in concern. "Then, what's wrong?"
Otto sighed. "Since we aren't going out tonight, won't the boy come back from class soon? What if he...hears us? That would be very innapropriate for a mentee to hear-"
His wife shook her head with a smile. "Ah, that is what I forgot to tell you earlier. Peter called the house a few hours ago, saying he won't be home until 7pm. Something about attending a tutoring session at the campus library."
Otto scoffed softly. Of course Peter would be studying instead of going out on a Friday night; like a regular youth.
Otto and Rosie turned to their wall clock.
4pm.
They turned back, giving each other 'the look'.
"Well, the kid will not be back another 3 hours..." otto trailed off.
With a woosh, Rosie and Otto pulled each other under the sheets. A pair of boxers and panties flew in opposite directions as the two giggled.
