behind the lens

Summary:

it's late, everyone else has gone home, and po just wants to finish the shoot. but thame doesn't make it easy—not with the way he moves, looks, and makes every pose feel like it's meant for po and no one else.

Work Text:

p'mick clearly stated that the photoshoot had to be finished by the end of the day. and what if they were all exhausted and in need of sleep? being an idol means sacrificing that, too.

thame should've finished his part already. but despite the trouble the group was facing, he'd always do anything for them. the least he could do was let the others go first, so they could return to the dorms sooner and get some rest. he'd be fine; their well-being mattered more to him right now.

jun was the next one to be photographed. by then, most of the crew, even tae and ming, had already left. po reassured them he'd finish up quickly with the remaining members since everyone's makeup, hair, and outfits were already done.

it took about twenty minutes to shoot jun in both required outfits. po reviewed the shots, gave his approval, and jun rushed to leave, mumbling a quick goodnight to po and ignoring thame entirely. he darted to the car where three other members were waiting.

now it was just the two of them—thame and po.

thame's outfits followed the same concept as the others. the first one he wore consisted of black pants and a loose, buttoned-up black shirt. in po's opinion, the look suited thame the best; it highlighted his handsomeness while remaining simple enough not to outshine the main lead. all the focus landed squarely on thame.

just as po's focus landed on him.

peering through the lens, po adjusted the camera, taking longer than usual. maybe he was too tired after working from morning till night—or maybe it was the way his gaze wandered over the body in front of him.

"ready?" po asked, his low, tired voice breaking the silence. thame nodded, and po began guiding him through the standard poses suggested by the crew.

the first few were simple. thame stood in front of a wall with dim lighting; a single spotlight illuminated him, making his skin glow under the warm, yellowish hue.

he moved slowly, letting po capture every moment. first standing, then sitting on a chair. for the next pose, thame leaned his back against the wall, legs spread wide. rolling up his sleeves and undoing two buttons, he locked his gaze on the camera.

po couldn't believe how effortless thame's confidence looked. it wasn't practiced—it was real. despite his soft, almost cute features, the sharpness in his eyes weighed heavy, even through the camera.

po swallowed hard and kept clicking.

sure, thame looked amazing. the stylists had done an impeccable job. but was the shoot supposed to feel this seductive? not really. other members' pictures had been stunning, maybe adorable. but none of them posed like this—like they were trying to make the photographer lose focus.

but thame was.

"done," po announced, lowering the camera to hide his face. "change into your next outfit, and we'll finish this quickly." his tone came out clipped, which only made thame smirk.

"you remember what the next set looks like, right?" thame teased, his voice light but suggestive.

po didn't answer, but his cheeks burned, and he was grateful for the dim lighting.

the second set had a cozy, casual vibe, different from the polished first round. simple props, neutral backgrounds—just the idols posing on chairs or couches. it was unscripted, giving po and thame full creative freedom.

po adjusted the lights and prepped the camera. "everything's ready," he said.

"i might need your help," thame called from behind.

po turned to find thame shirtless, holding a t-shirt in his hand. he wore a pair of shorts that showed off his legs. "does this look okay? it feels too big," he said, inspecting the shirt.

po felt heat rise in his chest. thame's body wasn't new to him—he'd seen him in countless photoshoots and performances. but something about this moment felt different, intimate.

"how would i know? just wear it," po muttered, eyes darting back to the photos on the monitor.

thame slipped the shirt on. when po glanced at him again, the shirt did look oversized, slipping off his shoulders and exposing his collarbones.

"yeah, it's big, but we'll work with it," po said, trying to reason why the crew would choose such a look. but no practical reason came to mind—only the idea of thame appearing… sexy.

"do i look good?" thame asked, their eyes meeting.

"you know you do," po replied. "let's get started before we run out of time."

thame sat on the couch, legs spread wide again, hands bracing between his thighs for balance.

"i'm ready," thame murmured.

po's camera clicked, breaking the silence. thame moved through his poses slowly, each one commanding attention. po tried to focus, but his mind betrayed him, wandering from thame's face to his neck, to the way the shirt draped over his frame.

"good. now switch—try something unique. we need a signature pose," po instructed, stepping closer. "let's focus on your face."

thame thought for a moment before gesturing po closer. "come here. you said you need my face, right?"

po hesitated but stepped forward.

"closer," thame whispered. his tone was firm, sharp like his gaze. po moved until he was standing between thame's legs, their bodies almost touching.

thame threw his head back, hands resting on his thighs, the shirt slipping down further.

po's breath hitched as he snapped the photos. thame's eyes fluttered shut, lips parting slightly.

"switch," po ordered abruptly, unable to handle the moment any longer.

but thame wasn't done.

he leaned forward, bowing his head to the side and brushing two fingers against his lips. po froze, knowing this image would stay with him long after the shoot.

"want me to switch more, phi?" thame's voice was low, almost a whisper.

po lowered the camera, meeting his gaze.

"or is this good enough for you?"

po stepped back just as thame reached for him. "that's enough," he said, voice tight. "change and go home."

as po returned to the monitors, thame sighed, a smile tugging at his lips.
