Chapter Text

Sanemi paced the length of the Cell he was in. Muzan had captured him and Several others. In the Cell with him was Giyuu, Obanai, Mitsuri, Gyomei, Shinobu, Muichrio, Aoi, Inosuke, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Nezuko, Tengen and Genya. The cell wasn't very large. They had been there for days and just recently two of the upper moons had come to them with a way to escape. Sanemi knew there would be a catch but what other choice did he have? The two upper moons had left swiftly off to find two other Demons that would help them, not even explaining their plan. He was hoping they didnt take too long. The Demon Lord kept coming and taking blood from Sanemi. He knew it was because he was a Merchi. Sanemi glanced over to the corner of the Cell where there was a man with Peach colored Hair, the man had spoken some soft words to Giyuu but other than that he would just look straight ahead with a blank expression as if he had been locked away in this Cell for a long time. Sanemi sighed and sat down next to Giyuu who was sitting next to the man. Giyuu reached over to grab Sanemi’s hand. “What did he say to you? Who is he?” Sanemi gestured to the Man leaned against the wall next to Giyuu   

“His name is....” Giyuu paused “Sabito”  

“Sabito” Sanemi repeated, he had heard that name before. His eyes widened “Sabito Tomioka?” Giyuu nodded   

“He didnt die like I thought. As lifeless as he is right now.... The Demon King has been keeping him alive. He’s been here since he was 12” Giyuu’s eyes began to water   

“We’ll take him with us, even if I have to carry him out of here. We won't leave him” Sanemi says   

“He’s nothing like I remember it’s just....” Sanemi pulled Giyuu into his arms. In the weeks they had been trapped in this Cell the two of them went public with their relationship. There was no use hiding it and he had decided if he were to die here, he wanted to be able to give Giyuu and Genya whatever comfort he would. He and Genya had spoken and had a halfway civil conversation that ended with Genya throwing his shoe at Sanemi’s face. He had apologized for the way he had treated Genya. After a couple hours Genya apologized for throwing the shoe. Sanemi hadn't cared; he had deserved it.   

“I know” Sanemi says “And whatever is wrong with him we will work on and fix. We just have to get out of here first” They sat in silence Sanemi rubbing circles on Giyuu’s back Giyuu leaning into Sanemi’s side as he held Sabito’s hand. After what felt like forever Doma and Akaza returned with a pair of demon girls who looked like twins  

“We have a way to get you out of here, but it won't be pleasant” Akaza says “These are Hana and Hayami. They have powers that work in tandem”  

“Why do I feel like we’re not gonna like this”  Obanai says as Genya moved over to Sanemi’s side   

“Our blood arts can transfer you into an alternate universe in which a version of you doesn't already exist in” the first girl says, Sanemi Assumed she was Hana 

“However, there is a catch, her blood art doesn't work on anyone older than 14” the second girl says, he assumed she was Hayami 

“We’re all older than 14!” Zenitsu cries Sanemi was ready to punch him  

“That’s where mine comes in” Hayami says “I can take your age down by 14 years. You would still have all your scars unfortunately” she said the last part looking directly at Sanemi  

“That’s fine” Sanemi gruffs out 

“It’s for you to decide if you want to go through with it” Akaza says “Or if you want to risk whatever it is the Master has planned for you” all the Demon slayers looked at each other  

“Would we end up together?” Gyomei asks   

“It’s hard to say, we have never done a large crowd before” The girls say Sanemi sighs   

“I would be seven” he says   

“If it’s the only choice we have” Tengen says “But the younger ones, Muichiro, Genya, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Nezuko, Inosuke and Aoi need to stay with one of us Adults., they would be infants and toddlers”   

“They will have to hold onto you then” The girls say  

“Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Genya will go with Giyuu, Myself and Him” Sanemi gestures at Sabito, “The three of us will also hold onto each other, we will all be seven”  

“We can take Zenitsu” Obanai says “I will also be Seven.... but Mitsuri will be five, I think I can handle both her and Him though”   

“Aoi can come with me” Shinobu says “As Can Inosuke”  

“And I will take Muichrio” Gyomei says, he grabs onto the youngest Hashria   

“Guess I'm alone then” Tengen says   

“Oh, come with me you idiot” Shinobu says, they all organize so they were holding on to the ones they were supposed to stay with  

“Alright we are doing it now” The girls say there was a bright light around them and in the next moment Sanemi felt like he was falling  

Chapter Text

Sanemi didnt even have time to scream before he landed hard on a marble floor, his shoulder colliding first and then exploded with pain, there was an audible crack. He whimpered in pain and pushed himself upright to look at his surroundings. Beings as tall as mountains sat in chairs just as tall around the room and he was alone. Giyu, Sabito and the kids were not with him. He hoped they were all together, during the process he had felt his hand slip out of Giyu’s he should have been using two. He stared up at the beings before him and he wasn't sure if it was his new child's mind or survival instincts, but he was scared. They were much bigger than him. He looked down at the floor as if that would make them disappear only to realize he was bare. It hadn't occupied to him that perhaps the demons' powers could only transport organic matter  

“Well, I found the source of the magic you felt father” the blonde with bright blue eyes said  

“I don't think that was his doing. The magic is all but gone now” A woman with grey eyes said both were dressed in some sort of clothing that looked like western bed sheets to Sanemi. After those words the room fell silent again Sanemi looked back up at the beings, he felt tears in his eyes threating to spill  

“Athena, you think he’s of the multiverse” the blonde said  

“It’s probable” The woman with grey eyes said, Athena; Sanemi now had a name for her, that was all it took for the 12 of them to start yelling and screaming at each other. It was loud and it hurt Sanemi’s head. The pain in his shoulder was only getting worse and their screaming making his head pound didnt help. He also didnt understand why he felt like he wanted to cry. He was supposed to be strong. He was alone in a world he didnt know with no sword to defend himself with in a body in with emotions he couldn't control and the beings before him screaming at each other did not help. He couldn't hold the tears back anymore and they started to fall down his face with a sniffle that couldn't be heard over the screaming of twelve people in bed sheets. The blonde with the gold armor stopped yelling, his head snapping back to Sanemi as if he had suddonley remembered he was there  

“ALL OF YOU SHUT UP!” The man says  

“Ares...” The man with black hair that was starting to grey and lightning blue eyes started.  

“We shouldnt do that in front of him. Yelling in our true voices like that could hurt him” The one in gold, Ares said  

“For once I find myself agring with my pig headed brother” A girl said, at least she looked like a child to Sanemi, if you ignored her height  

“Since when did you vouch for men sister” The blonde said  

“I dont” The girl said “I am the protector of children, even if they are male. We are scarring him” The girl and the two blondes all turned to look at Sanemi who at this point had stopped trying to hold back the tears, he was sure he was a great sight to see with tears and snot running down his face. He wished anyone had ened up with him, he wouldnt care if it was one of Kamado brats he just didnt want to be alone. The three of them stood up and then shrunk, it confused Sanemi. He backed up the best he could while keeping his injured arm to his chest  

“He’s injured” The blonde with blue eyes says  

“Father allow for us to take the child to be cared for by one of the Nymphs before we talk about him” Athena asked the man she looked at nodded. Ares leaned down and Picked Sanemi up  

“He’s light” Ares said adjusting Sanemi in his arms “too light” The blonde came other as did Athena who was still in her chair, she had to shrink down  

“Defiantly malnourished” the blonde said, “but Ares why do you care?”  

“Look at him. Kid’s been through some shit. He’s so little and has these scars?” Ares said  

“Let's get him out of her” The girl said  

“Artemis is right” the blonde said “Let's go” the four people carried Sanemi out of the large room  

“Apollo, how do you think he came here?” Artemis asks  

“I think he’s from another world” Apollo said “But other than that I have no idea”  

“Where are we taking him” Ares asks  

“My temple” Apollo said “We can hand him off to Merope”  

“Poor thing must be terrified” Athena cooed at Sanemi, he hated it, being treated like he was small and helpless. Even though he was small and more than likely as helpless and they were treating him; he couldn't even make himself stop sobbing. His head had begun to hurt from crying so much but still he couldnt make it stop. he had given up trying to stop the tears as he cried so hard his entire body shook. He figured he’d eventually run out of tears to cry. Eventually they came to a very bright building that reminded Sanemi of the sun and they entered into the golden doors  

“Merope, I need you to take him.” Apollo said, “He needs a bath and some clothes. We have a meeting to discuss what we want to happen with him so in the meantime; take care of him” Ares handed Sanemi off to a Woman who looked to be part cloud. He didnt want anyone else, he had started to feel safer in Ares arms and let them know by crying as loud as he possibly could  

“Well... he has a voice after all” Athena said  

“You have to go with her brat” Ares grumbled trying to get Sanemi off of him but Sanemi clung on as tight as his little arm would let him. The woman was also trying to pull him off of Ares. He wanted to stay with Ares he could feel his hands slipping as Ares wore metal armor over his bed sheets so he decided to try something other than crying and clinging  

“Nooo Stay!” He cried Sanemi didnt understand why he felt safe close to this man but he did  

“I..... I think he wants you” Athena says  

“Oh you dont say” Ares says  

“We cant take him back” Athena says  

“Your right and that shoulder is starting to swell” Apollo says “Let me go get something” Sanemi didnt try to watch Apollo. Using all his energy and focus to cling to Ares as the woman and Ares tried to remove him from Ares. He heard apollo return having already sorted out the sound of all of their footsteps “Here we go buddy, you’re gonna feel a small pinch and then take a nice nap” as Apollo said that Sanemi felt a pinch in his thigh “Ares just hold him for a minute” The woman stopped pulling at Sanemi’s hips. He started to realize what Apollo had done  

“Oh fu...” Was all Sanemi could get out before the darkness of sleep took him  

Chapter Text

Ares  

The rest of the council meeting had a lot of screaming. Eventually it was decided they would have to talk to the child and hear from him what got him falling out of a worm hole into the Middle of Olympus. Ares would be lying if he said the boy hadn't already had an impact on him. He fiddled with the strap of his armor that the child had managed to grab as he clung to him only an hour before. At current time he and Aphrodite were sitting in the small hospital Apollo had in his temple as the God of the sun went about tending to the white-haired child in the bed. Apollo had put the boy’s Arm in a sling, informing them that it was broken from his impact with the floor. After they had left him with Apollo’s Cloud Nymph nurse, she had given the boy a much-needed Bath and dressed him in a pair of silk Green Pajama’s. Ares didnt understand why he wanted to be here, but something was telling him to be here when the child woke up “He could change everything” Aphrodite says  

“What do you mean doll” Ares grunted  

“If he’s truly from another world like Athena thinks then something happened to send him to us and him probably didnt come alone.” Aphrodite says “He’s escaping something and that something will come for him”  

“You think so?” Ares says  

“You said it yourself. He’s got too many scars” Aphrodite says reaching out and taking the child’s hand. “He feels so much older than he looks”  

“You should have seen the absolute tantrum he threw when we tried to give him to the cloud nymph” Ares remarks  

“I had to sedate him” Apollo says  

“Speaking off should he wake soon?” Ares asks  

“I don't know” Apollo says “Look at the dark spots under his eyes. The kid was exhausted. Probably sleep deprived. His body needs time to recover”   

“All we can do it wait” Aphrodite says with a smile  

“If Father approves; will you be okay with him living with us” Ares says  

“Is this what you want?” Aphrodite says  

“It is” Ares says  

“Then I’m okay with it; we haven't had a child in the home in eons” Aphrodite says  

Sanemi  

When Sanemi woke, he had trouble remembering what had happened. His body felt wrong; he cracked an eye open to discreetly look around his surroundings as everything came back to him. The older man in a suit was sitting by his bedside with a woman who Sanemi assumed to be his wife. The lights in the room were dimmed. As discreetly as he could he looked around for Ares whose gruff face he had seen in his sleep.  

He had dreamed of his family, dreaming that Ares had descended from the sky on a fiery horse saving him and his siblings from their father and whisking them and his mother off to the top of a mountain to live safely. He blamed the sedative Apollo had given him.  

Unfortunately, Sanemi could not see Ares anywhere in the room and he was sad. Ares felt safe. He was rough and gave out a very clear aura that said to stay away and maybe Sanemi should listen to it, but something called him in. Maybe Ares reminded Sanemi of himself, maybe that was why Sanemi found comfort in the man. Sanemi knew he could pretend to be asleep no longer. He would have to ‘wake up’ and talk to the two sitting by his bedside. He allowed himself to let out a small, but audible groan, bawling the hand by his side into a light fist before fully opening his eyes to face the man who looked as if he had no compassion behind his lightning blue eyes. Sanemi was used to those who were cold; even as a child. His own father was a cold abusive bastard. Sanemi could handle this one he just had to be careful. For several minutes no one says anything, Sanemi knew he should break the silence but at the same time he didnt want to.  

“Ares will be back in an hour” The man said, “But first we need to talk” Sanemi nodded silently “Do you know who I am?”  

“N..no” Sanemi says  

“I am Zeus King of Olympus. Now, child, tell me what is your name”  

“Sanemi” Sanemi says  

“How did you wind up crashing my council meeting” Zeus asked  

“The demons teleported us out of our world. They didnt say where we would land. I’m sorry” Sanemi says  

“Us?” The woman said  

“Demons?” Zeus questioned  

“My world had Demons” Sanemi says “Four of them helped us to escape the demon lord by......by turning us into children and transporting us to another world so we could not be found” Zeus raised an eyebrow “There were 15 of us... I'm one of the oldest”  

“How old are you” Zeus questioned  

“Seven Technically.... I used to be twenty-one, but the demon girls said my body and mind would be turned back 14 years. I was supposed to hold on to Giyu and my brother, but I couldn't. I wasn't prepared for how weak I would be” Sanemi says  

“This Demon Lord, do you think he would come after you” Zeus says  

“I don't know” Sanemi says  

“Zeus?” The woman asks  

“I’m granting Ares his wish” Zeus turned to the cloud lady; Merope “Summon Ares to me” he then turned back to Sanemi “We’re letting you stay so be grateful. Ares has offered to take you in. You will be treated as a child.” Zeus then stood and he and the woman left. Leaving Sanemi alone in the room.  He hoped he wouldn't be alone for long however it felt like forever until Apollo walked in. Sanemi had been sitting in the bed so long he had almost fallen back asleep  

“Your awake” Apollo said cheerfully “How do you feel buddy”  

“You sedated me” Sanemi says  

“I did” Apollo says  

“I don't like being sedated” Sanemi says “I get weird dreams”  

“That can happen” Apollo says “So how do you feel” Sanemi wasn't really sure how he felt, he wasn't in pain anymore, but he had gotten used to blocking out pain. He did feel his stomach rumble  

“Hungry” Sanemi said he also remembered he hadn't drunk anything in a very long time. Muzan was not good at feeding and giving them water when they were in captivity “And thirsty, can I have some water?”  

“We’ll get you a meal here shortly, Sanemi” Apollo says  

“How-” Sanemi started to question  

“Everything you told father he told all of us” Apollo says  

“I barley told him anything though” Sanemi says  

“You told him what he wanted to know and that was enough” Apollo says “I imagine you have questions for us”  

“I don't know how to word them” Sanemi says  

“That’s okay, you have some time to think about that” Apollo said “Ares and Athena will be here shortly, and they will take you to Ares’ Temple where you will live. Athena will be able to answer any questions you have and if there is anything else you wanted Father to know she’s the one you will talk to”  

“Okay” Sanemi says  

“They weren't supposed to take this long” Apollo said. They were getting a room set up for you and ensuring Ares temple had enough rooms to house all of your friends”  

“Huh?” Sanemi says  

“We’re going to find them and bring them here where all of you can be safe. Father and Athena believe that the man who you had to escape from will come after you once he figures out where you are” Apollo says  

“He will kill Hana and Hayami” Sanemi says  

“I’m sorry” Apollo says  

“I didnt know them. They were demons.” Sanemi says  

“The ones who saved you” Apollo says  

“Yeah” Sanemi says  

“So, I am going to be your doctor while you live on Olympus, while we wait on Ares, I need to give you some shots where you don't get sick.” Apollo says  

“Will it hurt?” Sanemi asks  

“Only a little” Apollo says “There will be quite a few of them however”  

“Okay” Sanemi says  

“I’ll get you a Loli after it’s over” Apollo says laying a tray with several needles down on the bed and grabbing some colored band aids. Sanemi always hated it when Shinobu forced him to give blood. Apollo went as quick as he could giving Sanemi the several shots and then put a band aid over the injection sight “There we go, that wasn't so bad was it” Sanemi shook his head however he had hated getting the shots. Tears were in his eyes again, Apollo wiped them away and then gave him a small lollipop. He pulled out a rectangular device the size of his hand and then sighed “Ares where are you?”  

“What’s that?” Sanemi asks  

“What’s.... oh this. This is my phone; it’s a way to communicate with people over a long distance” Apollo says  

“Like messenger crows?”  

“Never heard of a messenger crow before but yeah like messenger crows but it can also do a lot of other things too. Like playing music and games, watching TV, checking the weather”  

“Why would you need a box to check the weather, can't you just look at the sky” Sanemi asks  

“I suppose you could...” Apollo says  

“I'm really hungry” Sanemi says  

“I know you are and if Ares doesn't come on in the next few minutes, I will send Merope down to the human world to get you some chicken nuggets” Apollo says  

“Human world...?” Sanemi questions  

“Save that one for Athena” Apollo says     

Chapter Text

It took two more hours for Ares and Athena to come. True to his word Apollo sent someone to get Sanemi chicken nuggets. Sanemi had never heard of Chicken nuggets before but after he got them, and convinced the blonde to get him chopsticks, he found he rather enjoyed chicken nuggets. Apollo started telling him about where he was. Sanemi learned that he was on Mount Olympus and Apollo, Ares and all the others were Gods and Goddesses. They were considered the 12 Olympians. He learned that there were also other gods, and there were people called Titans, and some called Giants. For the most part the Titans and Giants were bad. Apollo had laughed when Sanemi asked him why he wore bed sheets, telling Sanemi that the clothing he wore was called a Toga. Apollo tried to dress Sanemi in a small toga. Sanemi didnt let him, convincing Apollo to get him a Yukata. Sanemi was happy with his pale green Yukata that had white cloud outlines on it. It wasn't his favored Haori or his Demon slayer uniform, but Sanemi was happy with it. Seeing Apollo pout that Sanemi wouldn't wear the toga, he let Apollo put the Sandals on him. Finally, the door to the room opened and Ares and a woman Sanemi didnt know the name of walked in “Where were you” Apollo says “You are six hours late”  

“Sorry Athena heard of a police report about a group of Naked kids wandering the streets of New York and went down to check it out” Ares grumbled   

“And?” Apollo asked   

“Expect to see five more kids tomorrow” Ares says “We had to make their rooms and dress them”  

“So, you left him with me all day? I did have duties to do” Apollo says  

“Sorry” Ares says “Did you feed him”   

“Lunch? Yeah, Dinner is on you” Apollo says “I’ve done my baby-sitting time”   

“You act like he was difficult” The woman says to Sanemi she kind of looked like Giyuu did, if Giyuu had been a woman. At some moments she looked like Kanae but for the most part she looked like Giyuu.  

“Take him home; I'm sure he’s ready to see his friends”   

“Come on brat” Ares says picking Sanemi up   

“I can walk” Sanemi complained  

“Yeah I’m not risking you wandering off” Ares says   

“Hmph” Sanemi huffs   

“Pout all you want, your not walking” Ares says they start towards Ares’ temple. On the way Sanemi learned that the woman’s with them was Ares’ Girlfriend named Aphrodite. This time he got a better look at the Temple than he had Apollos as the approched and saw it was basically a giant Castle. Once inside the doors Ares set Sanemi down and lead him to what Sanemi assumed was the living room. In the room Sanemi saw Giyu, Genya, and Tanjiro. Athena was on the couch holding a bundle in her arms. He assumed that Bundle was Nezuko.   

“Sanemi!” Giyu says “I was so worried about you are you alright?”  

“I’m fine” Sanemi says   

“You dont look fine Sanemi-San" Tanjiro said in a his tiny toddler voice; which Sanemi couldnt Deny was adorable  

“Broke my shoulder landing” Sanemi says “Are you all okay”  

“We landed in a lake” Giyu says   

“You cant swim” Sanemi says   

“Sabito was able to get everyone out” Giyu says   

“Where is Sabito” Sanemi asked looking around for the peach haired boy  

“Pysche came and got him” Giyu says “They said that she could help heal his mind. He completly shut down after saving every one and I was having to drag him through the road.”   

“Have they explained things to you?” Sanemi asks   

“They have and I told them everything I knew about our world and about who else we needed to find” Giyu says   

“We’re all going to be staying here, with the God of war and Goddess of Love” Tanjiro says   

“I know that” Sanemi says “And will be raised again as their children”   

“It could be worse” Giyu says “At least here we have a safe place to stay and dont have to worry about food”  

“Guess your right” Sanemi says   

“I know your worried but it will be okay” Giyu says “You have a chance at a real childhood. We’ll be okay”   

“Is Genya...” Sanemi asks   

“He’s okay. He's playing with the cars right now.” Giyu says. Tanjiro toddles back over to Genya. Picking up a red car and sitting next to them “We’re gonna be okay”  

“Yeah... Your right we are” Sanemi says   

“We’ll have to learn how to be kids again, and that won't be easy, but we’ll be okay” Giyu says he grabbed Sanemi’s free hand in his own and began to walk, forcing Sanemi to follow him. He followed Giyu over to a small table that had coloring pages and crayons “This is what I was doing before he went to get you. Ares says all of us have to go see the doctor tomorrow”  

“Apollo is nice” Sanemi says sitting beside Giyu. He looked back over to the couch to see Aphrodite was now holding baby Nezuko. Sanemi looked over at the page Giyu was coloring. It was of a Man with fire in his hand   

“That’s a Titan” Giyu says “Particularly this Titan is Prometheus”  

“Who?” Sanemi asks   

“They haven't told you any of the stories yet have they” Giyu says   

“No” Sanemi says   

“Do you want me to tell you the story of Prometheus?” Giyu asks “Athena just told me it before you got here”  

“Please” Sanemi says Giyu then proceeded to tell him about how Prometheus created man and stole fire from Zeus. Sanemi listened happily as his boyfriend spoke; he wasn't sure if he could call him that anymore or what they could be to each other. Were they brothers now? Sanemi didnt know. When Giyu finished the tale Sanemi stood up promising to come right back, and he went over to Aphrodite who he remembered was the Goddess of love  

“You want to check on Nezuko to?” Aphrodite asks as Sanemi crawled up onto the couch next to her   

“I have a question” Sanemi asks   

“Yes?” Aphrodite asks    

“Giyu and I used to be...... together. Now that we are seven again what does that mean for us” Sanemi asks Aphrodite smiled at him  

“As long the two of you refrain from adult activities, we will let you stay together” Aphrodite says “Ares and I had already talked about what we’d do if this situation occurred”  

“Obanai and Mitsuri are also dating” Sanemi says  

“Anyone else?” Aphrodite asks  

“Nope.” Sanemi says  

“Thank you for telling me. I would have discovered it as soon as i meet them, but I appreciate you telling me” Aphrodite says  

“How?” Sanemi asks cocking his head to the side  

“I am the goddess of love; meaning love is my domain. I just know when two people love each other” Aphrodite says Aphrodite says  

“Meaning you knew about Giyuu and I” Sanemi says  

“I did” Aphrodite says  

“Did Giyu tell you about Nezuko” Sanemi asks  

“Tanjiro did. We know she’s a Demon and doesn't need to eat” Aphrodite says  

“And regains her energy by sleeping” Sanemi says  

“Yes” Aphrodite says as Ares re-entered the room  

“Hey, you're in my seat squirt” Ares grumbles. He then picked Sanemi up. Sitting where Sanemi had been and sits Sanemi on his lap  

“Ares...” Aphrodite said  

“What? You sat on the small couch” Ares says  

“There are other places for you to sit” Aphrodite says  

“C’mon Doll I wanted to sit beside you” Ares says  

“Well Sanemi and I were having a conversation” Aphrodite says  

“Maybe I wanted to see the baby” Ares says  

“You did not, you don't ‘do’ babies” Aphrodite says Sanemi giggled at their small argument. It felt domestic in a way Sanemi couldn't describe  

“Something funny?” Ares asks Sanemi shook his head giggling “Oh I’ll give you something to giggle about” Before Sanemi could even figure out what Ares was about to do the Man- God, had started to tickle him. Sanemi squealed with glee this was also something he had never experienced before. He wasn't sure how long that went on but finally, when he’d run out of air, Ares let him free, and Sanemi climbed down and went back over to Giyuu still giggling.  

“You having fun?” Giyuu asks  

“Shut up” Sanemi says sitting down next to Giyuu and laying his head on his shoulder. Giyuu stopped coloring the coloring sheet to pet Sanemi’s head  

“We probably shouldn't do this anymore” Giyuu says  

“Aphrodite says as long as we keep it pg. it’s fine” Sanemi says “She kinda looks like you”  

“Huh really? I thought she looked like you a bit, light hair and violet eyes.... Maybe a bit like Sabito too. Tanjiro thinks she looks like Muichrio” Giyuu says  

“Does she...... do you think she takes the appearance of beauty to the one looking at her which is why we all see something different” Sanemi says  

“Possibly” Giyuu says   

“I think she looks like Mama” Genya says toddling over; he crawled up in Sanemi’s lap and Sanemi couldn't help but smile. As Kids Genya had always followed Sanemi around like a little duckling; he hated it before, but he wouldn't mind if his brother did that again. Sanemi missed being close with his little brother.  

Chapter Text

The First night was more difficult than Ares expected it to be. He had expected to have at least a couple days before the first fight broke out. These were adults turned into kids, he had thought they could be civil with each other. At dinner he was quickly proven wrong. Sanemi and Tanjiro both wanted to sit to the left of Giyuu. When the argument broke out Ares let it be thinking that Sanemi wouldn’t punch a two-year-old across the face. He was once again proven wrong and then yelled at by Aphrodite for not watching them. Sanemi did not get to sit with Giyuu. Aphrodite sat the boy between the two of them for his misbehavior. Sanemi told them how he felt about that with his very colorful language. For neglecting to watch them properly Ares was now in charge of bath and bedtime for all of the boys while Aphrodite dealt with Nezuko. He had considered arguing but he didn’t want to sleep on the couch tonight. Or worse have to go ask his father to let him sleep on his couch. Ares was beginning to regret offering to adopt all of these kids. He had learned Sanemi didn’t like baths. He had decided to do oldest to youngest. Sanemi was now splashing all the water out “Come on Brat if you sit still, it’ll be over faster” Ares grumbled. He was soaked Sanemi didn’t seem to care as the child continued to splash around and try to climb out of the tub, at this point there was more water in the floor than in the tub  

“No!” Sanemi says still trying to get out “This is wrong”  

“Why is it wrong” Ares asks exasperated having to keep one hand on the boy so he’d stop trying to climb out of the tub  

“Showers are for bathing, tubs are for relaxing” Sanemi says  

“What the fuck kind of logic is that” Ares says  

“The tubs gonna be dirty now” Sanemi says  

“It can be cleaned” Ares says “Your gonna have to get used to the tub, I'm not sticking you in the shower”  

“I’m not helpless I can bathe myself. I dont like tubs” Sanemi says Ares groaned, he didn't remember any of his other kids being this difficult.  

“Get over it” Ares grumbled  

“That’s not how you talk to a child Father” Ares turned to see his twins  

“What do you want” Ares grumbled  

“Mother sent us to see what was taking so long” Deimos says “Looks like a flood happened”  

“You wanna try” Ares says  

“No Thank you” Phobos says backing away Ares groaned looking at his twins, in the closet he saw something Yellow  

“Deimos, hand me that” Ares says  

“The duckie?” Deimos says  

“Give me the fucking Duck” Ares says  

“Uh sure” Deimos gave the Duck to Ares and Ares turned back to Sanemi who stopped struggling and was looking at the duck with interest  

“You want this?” Ares asks squeaking the duck “Sit still and you can have the duck” Ares dropped the duck down in the now cold bath water ignoring the way the child shivered. Sanemi reached for the duck squeaking it. Ares was able to finish the bath quickly with Sanemi now entertained in the rubber duck. As he pulled Sanemi out of the tub the boy yawned  

“Sleepy” Sanemi said  

“Yeah, I know, it’s bedtime” Ares grunts out as he wraps Sanemi in a towel and looks around for the pajamas. He was now glad he thought to put them up. The green onesie had remained dry; he wasn't sure why Aphrodite had decided green was Sanemi’s color but he wasn't one to argue. He dressed the child and picked him up as Aphrodite came by carrying Tanjiro and Genya who looked to have both been bathed  

“You know you can do two at a time” She said  

“Oh now you tell me” Ares grumbles “He’s bathed”  

“I see that... I also see the flood you made” Aphrodite says  

“I made? He’s the one that splashed all the water out!” Ares says  

“Did you give him bubbles? Or a Bath toy” Aphrodite says “He may have once been an adult but now he’s a child and has the mind of one to. He needs entertainment”  

“He stopped after I gave him a duck” Ares grumbled  

“Get him to bed” Aphrodite says and Ares Grumbles as he carries Sanemi to his room. Once in Sanemi looks around in awe  

“All mine?” Sanemi says  

“Yeah this is your room” Ares says  

“Too much. It’s too much” Sanemi says “Too big”  

“Well it’s yours so get used to it” Ares says carrying the boy over to the bed and pulling the curtains aside, setting Sanemi in the middle. He saw the boy seamed to be a little overstimulated. He considered the fact that Sanemi may have been poor and all of the fancy things may be to much for him and then he threw the thought away. “Now. Go to sleep” He turned and walked out of the room and goes to get Giyuu. Only to find Giyuu asleep on the couch. Instead of giving him a bath he just carried Giyuu right to bed. They didn't have to deal with the other boy, Sabito tonight as Psyche said she’d keep him until his mind was healed
