The Chivalrous Knight and the Wandering Clown
TsukaWata fic By Zorceus
There once was a story, about a wandering clown who encountered a knight that had a big heart. One that was full of kindness, responsibility, and most importantly, chivalry.
The blue haired clown would meet this young knight and grant him laughter. So much joy and happiness was spread between the knight and the clown, that they grew fond of one another.
They both met one day, being aids to the Emperor.
And then... Love happened.

Tsukasa Suou, leader of Knights was waiting in front of a door labeled STARPRO executive: Tenshouin. Tsukasa has been staring this door down for the past twenty minutes all with some paperwork at hand and a dream.
"This is it... I just gotta walk in and give Tenshouin these permission slips to have Knights attend the spring festival liveshow." Tsukasa spoke to himself. Loudly. Before he had a more worried expression on his face.
"No... But what if someone already took the venue first?" Tsukasa sighed before firey determination lit in his eyes. "No! I've gotta give Tenshouin Onii-sama the slips anyway!" Tsukasa said, outloud. Again.
Soon, the door flew open, almost hitting Tsukasa, spooking him a bit before he saw it was Eichi.
"Tsukasa, did you need something?" Eichi asked the red haired idol. Tsukasa looked up with eyes full of mixed emotions. Some of doubt, and some of hope.
"Tenshouin! I-I." Tsukasa was about to speak until he looked behind Eichi to see a blue haired man sitting down with a teacup in hand, watching Tsukasa with an amused smile.
"I-I see you are already busy, I will take my leave then!" Tsukasa said, turning around to walk out before he felt Eichi gently hold his shoulder.
"Wait a minute, Tsukasa. I'm not busy. If you need anything, I am here. Wataru is here just to give ideas for a live show theme that Fine can perform." Eichi looked over to Wataru who gave a hearty smile.
"Mhm! I perferred we do a magic theme. But alas, young Himegimi didn't feel like being suspended up and walking along a tight rope." Wataru shook his head in a playful manner, Eichi sighed before giving a laugh. Tsukasa looked behind to see the lighthearted banter.
"I guess I can stay here for a bit. Afterall, I do need to speak about something." Tsukasa spoke, sitting down on a chair while Eichi took the chair that was across the red-haired boy's own. Wataru sat down merrily next to Tsukasa, who scooted to the left to make way for the blue haired man. Tsukasa watches as Wataru poured him a small teacup of some fresh tea, a blend Eichi perferred, but it was probably because they didn't expect him.
"Tsukasa." Eichi starts the conversation after he takes a few small sips of his tea. "You wanted to talk to me about something?"
Tsukasa nodded in reply to Eichi's question, while gripping onto the paperwork he had for the venue Knights wanted to use. "Yes, if thats alright with you, Tenshouin Onii-sama..." Tsukasa begins.
"Knights wants to use this venue for the upcoming spring live event." Tsukasa hands the paperwork to Eichi, which had a beautiful picture of what the venue looked like for the upcoming live, Wataru peered over to see it, his eyes wide with wonder at all the colors. "I was hoping that everything is acounted for?" Tsukasa asks, looking at the paperwork as he watched Eichi flip through page after page of documents.
"Everything seems to be in line, Tsukasa. However, you did arrive just in time. Since Wataru has been looking for something for his winter theatre." Eichi begins, presenting Wataru's beaming smile.
"Little Knight, I have a big request for you!" Wataru begins, but Tsukasa had his eyes widened at the nickname.
"Baby Knight?"
Oh, so to Wataru, Izumi is "Knight", Leo is "Ousama", and Tsukasa was now stuck with the nickname "Baby Knight"....
"Did you have to give me that nickname, Hibiki?" Tsukasa asks with a nervous laugh, watching Wataru ponder for a minute.
"Doughnut-kun then!" Wataru exclaims proudly.
"D-Doughnut-kun???" Tsukasa stared at Wataru, who looked beaming with pride at the nickname he bestowed upon poor Tsukasa.
"But of course! I saw you eating a box of about a dozen doughnuts back in our Yumenosaki years. I assume Doughnut-kun is a great nickname!" Wataru laughs proudly, Tsukasa buries his face in his hands as he felt red-hot embarrassment creep up on him.
Izumi will NEVER let him live this down.
"Anyways, I am to perform a beautiful, wonderful, the most Amazing show for christmas! A story about a wandering clown who falls in love with a knight from a distant kingdom. Now, Hokuto is playing the villainous prince, Tomoya is playing the village boy from the knight's kingdom. All I need is one who is a proper, chivalrous, and exquisite knight. Liiike you, Doughnut-kun!" Wataru explains the play, going into the details on the story, setting, everything.
"But, Hibiki. I know next to nothing about theatre plays." Tsukasa explained, but Wataru simply patted him on the back, mostly in a reassuring way.
"You don't have to worry about anything, Doughnut-kun! Just be yourself, and we can take it from here! Besides, Queen-san and Ousama is part of the production." Wataru reassured Tsukasa, the red-haired boy looked puzzled a bit at who he was referring to.
"Queen-san?"
"Oh! Miss Arashi Narukami!"
"N-Narukami?" Tsukasa now felt red in the face. Arashi will now know the embarrassing nickname Wataru was going around giving him, ans with Leo there, everyone in Knights will learn Tsukasa's nickname.
Tsukasa then sighed in a defeated tone. Again, Izumi will never let him live this one down. Not until he died.
"Is there a script I have to follow Hibiki?" Tsukasa asks, watching some of the stage hands, which included Tomoya passing out the scripts, watching as everyone gottsn their roles.
"Doughnut-kun" Wataru spoke in a serious tone, but one that quickly lost all the tone as soon as he said the nickname. "Just be yourself. Let your true feelings come through. You're chivalrous nature will drive you through this play. I believe in you!"
Tsukasa gave a small smile, though nervous, he knew that Wataru wanted him to focus on being the knight, not focusing on a piece of paper with some lines. "Alright, I think I am ready for this."

A week went by, everyone performed their roles, and Tsukasa felt even more attached to the Dramatica group.
Everyone was very kind to Tsukasa, and everyone helped him take the lead and understand his lines and tone of the story.
The one who helped most was Wataru.
Wataru, despite wanting Tsukasa to act the say he wanted, always came over to help Tsukasa when he was stuck with a line. He always came to offer pointers as an acting senior, and most of all, Wataru always passed around snacks for Tsukasa when he got stressed.
Even though they had a bit of a rough start, Tsukasa had to admit, he was really starting to see what Eichi saw in the blue haired man.
Tsukasa looked to see the crowd of people coming in. It felt like an endless stream of those he peronally knew, such as Eichi, Keito, Izumi, Ritsu, and many others from the idol corporations. Tsukasa felt a knot tie up in his stomach.
What if he screwed up?
What would the Dramatica group think of him?
What would Arashi and Leo think of it?
What would Izumi, Ritsu, and Eichi think of him?
How would Wataru feel?
Tsukasa had to sit down, trying to calm his nerves as the crowd kept on coming in, the more people added, the more Tsukasa could feel nervous. Not because of stage fright, but because of he messed his lines up, he would let everyone who worked hard on this production down.
"Doughnut-kun? Are you feeling alright?" Wataru came out, wearing his wanderer outfit with a rare, worried expression on his face.
"Wataru?" Tsukasa looked up to see the blue haired man was frowning, leaning in front of him, and touching his cheek lightly.
"You're scared, aren't you?" Wataru asks him, brushing away Tsukasa's bangs so he could get a better look at his face, watching some fresh tears fall from Tsukasa's large, violet eyes. Wataru would sigh sympathetically, gently wiping Tsukasa's face free from the tears.
"Doughnut-kun... Tsukasa." Wataru began, using Tsukasa's real name for once in their conversations. "You'll be alright. I promise you. If you need any reassurance, you can hold onto me." Wataru smiles, spreading his arms wide.
Tsukasa couldn't help but fall into those opened arms.
Wataru made a suprised grunt as he caught Tsukasa, and wrapped his long arms around the red-haired man's smaller frame. Wataru couldn't help but brush his fingers through Tsukasa's red hair, caressing him in a similar way he would with Eichi.
"I am right here. We share a majority of scenes together, so we can go up together and support each other." Wataru says. Tsukasa held Wataru's hand, looking up at the taller man with a small smile.
"The show is about to begin you two."
Wataru and Tsukasa both look behind them to see Nagisa, wearing a priest outfit. The gray haired man gave a gentle smile towards them before he walked backstage to warn the others about the show.
"Lets go, Tsukasa." Wataru said, holding his hand gently. He watched as Tsukasa nodded after him.
"Of course, Wataru."

The theatre show was at the climatic scene.
Tsukasa took a dep breath, holding his prop sword in his hands, ready to slay the now ascended, former prince to Demon King Hokuto.
The production was quite something, Tsukasa had to admit. Everyone knew what they were doing in Dramatica, they all knew how to make a show feel so lively.
Tsukasa's nerves have been calmed down since the beginning, and it was all thanks to the support he had from Dramatica. He would see Leo and Arashi's smiles as he went up on stage, and he would watch as Wataru took his hand as they both performed.
"Sir Knight, there is no way you can defeat him. Not when he is this powerful!" Wataru cried, watching as Hokuto was enveloped in red sparkles, a special effect they did to show that Hokuto's character was now growing in strength. What once was a prince with selfish desires now became a King of Demons, and Hokuto gave the most wicked grin Tsukasa has ever seen on a man.
"You can try, little knight. But if you move one step closer, I will end the life of your jester." Hokuto spoke, holding his clawed hands close to Wataru's throat, since Wataru's character had been captured prior to the transformation.
Tsukasa gritted his teeth, trying to think of anything he could do, after all, the life of Wataru's character was at stake here!
"Time is ticking, Little Knight." Hokuto said. Grabbing Wataru's long hair in one hand and his other, clawed hand around his neck. He simply just held Wataru so it looked like the blue haired man couldn't escape, which proved pretty effective with the audience's reactions.
"I'll have to try something!" Tsukasa shouted, throwing his sword at the floor.
Hokuto looked at this with suprise until he saw Tsukasa, now unarmed, came running for him with fists clenched. Hokuto went in to protect himself, letting Wataru go. Within a moment, the crowd gasped as Tsukasa laid in some petty hits to Hokuto, not actually wanting to hurt him before he grabbed his prop sword, sticking it into the chest of Hokuto's character.
The way Hokuto's costume was designed had an indent so it looked like Hokuto was stabbed, so Tsukasa thusted the sword into the indent, watching Hokuto gasp with false pain and anguish. Soon the stage would fall with the "death"of Hokuto's character and what once was a charred-looking volcanic setting changed into a lush forest.
Wataru jumped up and hugged Tsukasa. "You did it, my brave knight!" Wataru said, with his arms wrapped around the red haired knight, watching as Tsukasa would produce a deep red blush that rivaled the color of his hair.
Tsukasa gave a smile, before he decided to do something incredibly daring, potentially off the script.
He leaned his face forward, gazing at Wataru's deep violet eyes, all before his lips met with Wataru's own.
The audience gasped with excitement, watching Wataru's eyes widen for a moment before he closed them as he melted with the kiss.
Tsukasa knew Eichi and Wataru were an item, but he didn't care at this point. On this stage, this was the only way he could show his affection for him.
As long as he still played he role of his character, Tsukasa could imagine a world where his knight and Wataru's wandering clown would have a lovely life together, just the two of them.
A life he cannot have.
Tsukasa released Wataru's lips from his own, and he gave a large grin, watching Wataru slowly blush as they would stand together. The rest of the cast would come to the stage and take their bows as the curtain drew to a close. The roaring and applauding sounds of the audience ringing in Tsukasa's ears. It felt great to be acting with such a strong group.
"You did so well Tsukasa!" Tsukasa would look to his right to see Arashi holding back tears with Leo giving a wide grin. "That was so beautiful!" Arashi couldn't contain her love for the final scene, being the die-hard romantic she was.
Tsukasa smiled as he went over to his fellow Knights, hugging Leo and Arashi, happy to have participated in such a play that involved them. "Thank you, Narukami-san... Thank you, Leo-san!"
"You've done well up on stage, Suou-kun." Tsukasa was suprised as Hokuto came over to give him his compliments to the red haired young man.
"Th-thanks." Tsukasa said, giving a small nod to Hokuto, watching as Hokuto would return the nod of acknowledgement before Hokuto went back to remove his stage makeup and get changed into his regular clothing.
Wataru watched as Tsukasa would be embraced by his fellow Knights, watching them with a small smile as he too walks backstage.
Tsukasa watched as Wataru would leave, watching as light blue hair disappeared behind the backstage room. With a brief moment, he would leave Leo and Arashi's sides as he went over to where Wataru vanished.
"Hibiki?" Tsukasa said, watching Wataru fix his hair and remove his hat.
"Ahh, Doughnut-kun. Its great to see you." Wataru said, he was not giving Tsukasa eye contact, lowering his head so his hair covered his eyes. Wataru wasn't referring to Tsukasa as his name anymore.
"Wataru? Are you feeling alright? You've become quiet now." Tsukasa asks Wataru.
"I'm fine... Just, confused."
"Confused?" Tsukasa asked.
"Yes, cause... I am Eichi's. He has called me his Wataru. But the kiss with you. How genuine it felt... It confused me about Eichi's feelings towards me." Wataru admits, looking up at Tsukasa to see Wataru had tears in his eyes.
Tsukasa kneeled down to look at Wataru's face, watching as tears fell down Wataru's cheeks, taking a small cloth to wipe the tears from Wataru's face. It wasn't like Wataru to cry, at least not genuinely.
"Wataru?" Tsukasa said, watching Wataru focus his attention on him. "I'm sorry for the kiss. If I knew it was going to make you sad, I wouldn't have done it." Tsukasa said, looking remorseful over his action but saw Wataru shake his head.
"No, no. Its not your fault Tsukasa." Wataru speaks again. "You've proven your genuine affections for me with that kiss. Off script, but was perfect within the context." Wataru says, slowly smiling as he complimented Tsukasa's kiss.
"I just wish I could sort my affections between both, your genuine feelings for me, and Eichi's for me." Wataru said, looking worried about his dilemma, but Tsukasa held Wataru's hand.
"You'll be alright. I promise you. If you need any reassurance, you can hold onto me." Tsukasa said, repeating exactly what Wataru said to him before the play. "Thats what you said to me before the play started. These words reassured me, so I hope I can use them to reassure you, Wataru." Tsukasa said, watching Wataru's face grow rose-red, a similar shade to Tsukasa's own hair.
"I'll always be by your side, Wataru. If Eichi still stays by your side, I will be your friend. If you want to form a deeper relationship with me, then I will be there. But most importantly, I will always be your knight. Through and through" Tsukasa spoke with such an earnest expression, Wataru could feel the determination within every letter of his vow.
"Until then, I will wait." Tsukasa said, hugging Wataru once again, feeling his arms slowly make their way around Tsukasa.
"Thank you... Tsukasa..."
