??? POV:
Me and [redacted] were in the Moon Manor. She kept on playing with my hair while Haze scolded her for not letting them know of her whereabouts in case a disaster were to strike. Knowing her, she wouldn’t care that she nearly caused a scene skinning that scoundrel and his minions for badmouthing me.
I admire her loyalty and bravery, even if her wits and common sense weren’t all there.
…
This chastising lasted for quite a while until Star came in with an envelope. The wax seal was familiar, if not a little infuriating. How dare he?! After pacifying the thoughts of havoc, I ripped apart the envelope and read the letter. It was apparent that me and [redacted] were being invited to some sort of last minute “celebration.” It felt strange and quite suspicious. Nonetheless, I thought it through with her and she accepted the invitation. She was curious as to why a celebration was fashioned into existence in such a haste. I was unfortunately as intrigued as I was alarmed.
The soirée was the following night.
…
And so the day of the event came. We manifested ourselves in front or him. In his fright, he held his sword dangerously close to his neck. It was quite hilarious that he, the ruler of Ourania, could be so easily scared. After he recovered from his shock, he hastily put his sword away and greeted us. It was almost as if he didn't expect such an entrance. Ha! I believe he should be cautious about his surroundings, or else he would never know what might hit him.
Putting that aside, the festival had begun. Me and [redacted] were wandering around the food section when [redacted] suddenly stilled behind me. When I looked at where she was looking at, I paled at the scene. [redacted] had spotted a tray of star cookies that had red jam(?) bleeding from it. This is definitely going traumatize her since the stars are her friends.
I hastily pulled [redacted] away from the atrocity and covered the view with my wing. I went around, quickly picking things out. I tried to make sure they weren’t spiked, and that [redacted] liked them. Once finished, I gave the plate full of food to her. Luckily, that seemed to get her out of her incoming panic attack and she started eating, slowly.
It took a lot of self-control to prevent myself from obliterating Æther out of existence, and from just booking it out of here.
…
As the festive party continued, me and [redacted] spotted Erebuß and Cr0nos. I beckoned them over and they obliged. Perks of being the strongest I suppose…
We were minding our own business when some of Æther’s minions came and interrupted our conversation. It irked me that these measly chickens believed that they could do whatever they wished without dire consequences. I promptly ignored them and carried on the discussion of handling dimensions. They didn’t seem to take the hint and continued to pester me with ridiculous questions. Annoying flies, the lot of them.
Fed up, my and [redacted] simultaneously lashed out on them with our respective signature weapons, mine a scepter that shifted into a sword, and hers a moonstone sword I had gifted her. I might have been too enraged because I started to lash out on anyone that was within range. Two unfortunate people were Æther and [redacted].
The other Elder Officials were trying to keep Æther out of my range, but I wouldn’t allow that to happen. After all, he was the cause of my loss. I took my eyes of them for a moment when I realized I had severely injured [redacted], and her body couldn’t heal her anymore.
In order to keep part of her original mind and soul with me, I used telepathy to tell her to keep hold of her sword. She seemed to have received the request and clutched it tightly. I then performed VoidMrtyu to seal her to her sword, but left a bit of her soul to escape and form a new body. After successfully sealing the rest of her soul into the sword, my vision went black.
…
When I could see again, I was drenched in blood of various colors. Terrified, I tightened my grip on [redacted] sword (I don’t remember when I had a hold of it), and teleported back to the Moon Manor.
I don’t remember what happened once I went back to the Moon Manor. I don’t even remember when I got there. Star and Haze told me that they were shocked to see me a bloody mess and had asked me about what happened to her…
I wish I had destroyed Æther before all that happened. I call that time, The Crimson Masquerade…
