"You've got to be kidding me".
Aggressive eyes gazed wildly at Wolf who stood in the doorway if the cell.
" Oh look who it is". Marmalade taunted sarcastically. "Its the leader of the good guys. This day keeps getting better".
" Well aren't you a bundle of sunshine". Wolf snickered. " What's the matter? Upset your plans got foiled by the big bad wolf?".
Wolf laughed at the glare that came his way, moving to the other bed he leaned back against the wall rolling his eyes at the continent stare of marmalade.
" You can look at me like that.All you want but you did this to yourself. It's not my fault that the warden decided to room us together".
Without a word Marmalade crossed his arms turnibg away from wolf prompting him to sigh.
"Why don't you hate me?".
The soft tone filled with distain and hesitancy prompted Wolf's ears to twitch.
"Hate someone for somthing I have done?". Wolf sat up looking at the hamster. "I've been worse then you. Although making those guinea pigs fall off the cliff was messed up. Can't imagine how many people are going to be devastated of losing their pets".
He didn't miss the way marmalade flinched.
"I think I understand you though".
Marmalade did a double take.
"For as much as I am expected to be bad". Wolf leaned back against the prison bed paws folded behind his head. "Your always expected to be good. Always having to be perfect. That's gotta be alot of pressure on yourself".
The aggression in Marmalades eyes slowly started to fade, his breathing labored eyes gazing down.
"I'm sorry our species has such high expectations of us".
Marmalade closed his eyes suddenly feeling exhausted.
" You can be angry at me all you want". Wolf's tone catching Marmalades attention."But I don't have the energy anymore to be mad".
Wolf laid down gazing up at the ceiling."It really isent worth it".
Wolf could hear the small sounds of marmalade walking across the floor towards him. Not even flinching he felt the smaller guinea pig climbed onto the bed. Before making his way up to his shoulder curling against him.
Lips twitching Wolf reached up scratching the Guinea pigs back who unconsciously made soft squeaking nosies which went ignored by both of them.
Closing his eyes Wolf drifted off to sleep not going unnoticed by Marmalade who snuggled under his chin soon joining him.
