They were sitting on a window seat in their new house on the surface. It was only a few days ago that the child had helped free monsters from the underground. They were finally back on the surface. Despite Dante's hatred of humankind he entertained Lotus's excitement and happiness.
Because of Christmas, or as monsters knew it; Gyftmas, Dante was off work for a while. Much to Lotus's delight, he was more then happy to spend time with his boyfriend. Currently the winged goat monster was sitting on Dante's lap, excitedly peering out the window. Lotus had been so young when monsters were sent to the underground. So he didn't remember much of the surface.
Dante was idly and gently stroking her fluffy black wings, her goat tail wagging, the view was beautiful. And they would be lying if they said they didn't enjoy Lotus on their lap.
"It's snowing now!" Lotus stated, he knew that it snowed on the surface, hard to not know when you lived in Snowdin. But it still seemed surreal to him, Dante hummed in acknowledgment. "Hey, at least pretend it's interesting" Lotus taunted lightly, turning to it.
"That won't accomplish anything Lo"
"It'll make me happy"
"It's impossible to not make you happy," And it was truthful, despite Lotus's bratty and assholish nature to most people, and the fact they were in Underfell, if she was close enough to you she'd become happy very easily.
"Still, my point stands, watch the snow with me, it'll be romantic!"
Dante giggled softly, he didn't argue it wouldn't. "Sure fine, maybe we'll end up like my parents"
"I'm not as bad as Sci is!"
"Uh-huh, continue to lie to yourself Lo~!" He teased, he adjusted his position to be more comfortable while looking through the window with Lotus. They stared as the snow softly fell on the ground. It was honestly beautiful, and it was romantic sitting beside his partner string at the snow. He wanted to kiss Lotus who was lost in staring at the snow. Mentally noting to introduce him to the tradition of mistletoe. That would be enjoyable.
But until then they decied to sit beside Lotus and watch the first snow fall.
