Work Text:

Sometimes Wonjin takes things too seriously.

Jungmo understands it, he really does, but sometimes it gets to the point where they're all worried for him and the younger will still ignore their concerns.

It's like now, where the rest of them are sitting down taking a water break that Wonjin is forcing himself back up and rerunning the entire choreo on his own.

Jungmo admires how hard working Wonjin is, it's one of his favorite things about him, but he hates how it comes with a side of stubbornness.

Serim calls out for Wonjin to join them but he shakes his head and starts the choreo again, his hair slick with sweat as he glares at himself in the mirror everytime he messes up.

Hyeongjun ends up frowning in pity and getting up to run the choreo with him halfway through their break.

Jungmo wishes he hadn't because now Wonjin is dancing harder than before, his shoes squeaking against the floor the only sound in the quiet practice room.

He watches for another five minutes before Taeyoung asks if he wants to go eat something and he agrees, taking a long glance at Wonjin before walking out of the practice room.

It's when they get back that Wonjin isn't dancing but is instead watching a recording of his movements, his eyebrows knitted frustrated. Jungmo is glad he's taking a break even if he's probably mentally still running his mind in circles.

His relief is quickly squashed as Wonjin drags both Allen and Hyeongjun back to the center and nods his head determined.

It's like that for most of the day. There's a brief break where Wonjin is forced out of the practice room by a janitor for a mandatory cleaning but as soon as it's clear, he's right back in front of the mirror. His moves repeating one after the other as they go through the group dance again.

Jungmo thinks it's gonna be like that until they get to go home, but during their second break Wonjin finally heads to the side of the room and grabs a water bottle, not hesitating before he chugs it and lazily walks over, plopping himself down in between Jungmo and Serim.

"You're doing good." Allen mumbles softly, sending Wonjin a genuine grin.

Wonjin grins back, mumbling a small thank you as Taeyoung compliments him too before he hums and turns to face Jungmo. "Be honest." he mutters quietly.

Jungmo hates this game.

There's times where Wonjin likes compliments and then there's the times he has a hard time accepting them and does this. His face blank as he stares challengingly at Jungmo.

"You always do good." Jungmo replied honestly, yelping as Wonjin pinched his wrist. "I'm serious! You taught me to dance, Wonjin. What else can I say?"

"Exactly. So you know my best skills." Wonjin pointed out narrowing his eyes. "Something isn’t working this time."

Jungmo thinks Wonjin should probably ask Hyeongjun or Allen about dance techniques, but Wonjin isn't asking them, he's asking Jungmo so he sighs and frowns. "You're in your head, I think." he answered.

"Hm. What do you mean?" Wonjin frowned.

"You're thinking too much." Jungmo shrugs, his finger gently poking Wonjin's forehead. "You're letting yourself get distracted and it's causing you to fall a step behind. You can see it in your face that you're thinking about your mistake before you make it."

"Oh, you watch my face now?" Wonjin retorted,  glaring as he crossed his arms.

"You asked." Jungmo huffed. "Plus, I'm not the best person to ask." he shrugged.

"Well, you're who I'm asking." Wonjin grumbled before turning his body back around, pushing Jungmo's hand back to his side as he downed the rest of his water bottle.

Jungmo thinks on his answer for a while. He tries not to look at Wonjin too much throughout the rest of the day, but he thinks back on how often the younger has been in his head recently.

He hums to himself as he briefly checks their schedule, a small idea forming in his head.

______________________________

Jungmo starts by making a playlist. He knows Wonjin isn't really the type to exclusively listen to Christmas music during the holidays so he specifically picks lighter songs he knows the younger enjoys, as well as a few he personally likes and thinks Wonjin would enjoy.

He gets a bit carried away and ends up making it three hours long. To which he then listens to it on his own and judges the hell out of it and ends up deleting a few of the songs just to add another couple instead.

Next, he had probably gone a tiny bit overboard on ordering snacks that he knew Wonjin liked, or at least was semi into recently. But it was fine. He wanted to do this.

When they go to practice the next day, Jungmo groans annoyed as Minhee and Taeyoung bump into him causing him to drop his phone.

"Moody." Taeyoung commented, before he bent down and handed Jungmo his phone, raising his eyebrow questioningly at him. "Can I ask why you're looking up 'cute things to do for your boyfriend during Christmas'?" he whispered.

"No you can not." Jungmo grits out embarrassed as he snatched his phone back. Wonjin isn't his boyfriend, he knows that, but the ideas under that category were a tiny bit cuter. Plus, it sorta fit them better anyway. They weren't dating, but they weren't exactly available to anyone else either.

"Who are you secretly seeing?" Minhee gasped. "I'm telling Wonjin."

Jungmo rolled his eyes, biting back his retort of telling Minhee to go ahead. He would've, because it was an incredibly stupid assumption but then it would spoil his plan. So he didn't. "I'm not." he glared. "I wasn't searching for myself." he lied.

He probably could've told them he was doing something for Wonjin and they would've understood, but he doesn't trust them to keep quiet and not tease him about it before he even gets all of his planning done.

Taeyoung laughs, giving Jungmo an all too obvious disbelief look but plays nice and turns his head to finish playing the game of 'toss the bottle cap at Seongmin to see who he snaps at first' that he and Minhee had started.

He ends up closing out of the article anyways. He doesn't think Wonjin would really like any of it that much.

But, he does hear Serim talking about a sweater that he and Wonjin had looked at recently when they had gone shopping that Wonjin had really liked so he pushes his embarrassment aside and quietly asks Serim for the link to the store and what sweater as Wonjin is busy across the room learning a piece of pair choreo with Seongmin.

Serim nods as he immediately grabs his phone and sends it to him. Jungmo is more than grateful that the older hadn't questioned him or made any teasing joke this time.

Jungmo wouldn't say he's the worst cook in the group, just definitely far from the best. But he knows Wonjin likes a specific dish that Woobin had made for them countless times before so he privately messages Woobin and asks for the recipe and a step by step tutorial.

Woobin sends back a complaint at first but two hours later Jungmo not only receives a long message of all the ingredients and the steps, but a forty minute video of Woobin showing him how to actually make it.

Jungmo sends back a few kissing emojis and hearts before he begins attempting to make the dish.

It doesn't go well unsurprisingly to even himself. He somehow overcooks the chicken and the broth tastes too salty and when Wonjin let's himself into the dorm and finds Jungmo in the kitchen, he's only slightly embarrassed.

Wonjin laughs, his eyes showing how tired he was as he leans against the counter and watches Jungmo try to measure the right amount of diced onion. His amusement clear.

"What are you trying to be all mature for?" Wonjin asked, his finger lazily flicking against Jungmo's arm.

"I'm trying something new." Jungmo frowned before hesitantly offering a spoonful to Wonjin. "Here."

Wonjin looked at the spoon hesitantly, like Jungmo was trying to poison him before he opened his mouth and allowed Jungmo to feed him. He hummed, his eyebrow raising as he swallowed.

"Well?" Jungmo frowned worriedly.

Wonjin looked at him before patting his arm sympathetically. "I think ordering in would be good tonight."

Jungmo groaned as he turned to glare at the pot like somehow that was what messed it up.

"Come on," Wonjin hummed, holding his hand out for Jungmo grab as the older clicked off the stove. "I'm feeling chicken." he muttered quietly as he pulled Jungmo to his own room.

Jungmo was a bit bothered that he couldn't make a simple meal that he knew Wonjin liked, but he did win against the other in a debate to pay for their chicken and they cuddled until Wonjin fell asleep, so he considered it a success anyway.

—

Jungmo stays with Wonjin and Hyeongjun the next day when they decide to have a late night practice with all the other members immediately taking the chance to leave.

He has the choreo down surprisingly well this time so he doesn't really need the extra practice but he stays anyway and listens to Hyeongjun as he gives out free pointers.

He catches himself watching Wonjin worriedly the more pissed off Wonjin got at himself. It isn't until Hyeongjun excuses himself to the bathroom that Wonjin let's his body fall to the ground, a loud groan echoing through the quiet practice room.

Jungmo frowns and gets on the floor, gently laying his body over Wonjin’s. He doesn't put his full weight down but he digs his chin into Wonjin's chest and waits until Wonjin reluctantly wraps his hands around his waist and pulls him closer.

"Your hair smells like sweat." Wonjin mumbled but didn't make any effort to push Jungmo away, instead accepting the comforting.

"And you somehow smell amazing." Jungmo retorted before furrowing his eyebrows and leaning his head up. "That sounded weird. Not your sweat, your perfume. It's still strong."

"You are weird." Wonjin hummed.

"You can be too." Jungmo hummed back.

Wonjin nodded, the playfulness barely there as he blinked tiredly. He openly stared at Jungmo, almost lazily and so shamelessly like he didn't care if Jungmo saw.

It always made Jungmo feel like he shouldn't move when Wonjin did that. Like, if he breathed too hard or slightly moved Wonjin would realize what he was doing and shut himself off from it like he used to.

Jungmo wanted to kiss him. But, he didn't think it was the time or place and he didn't know when Hyeongjun would be back so he didn't.

"I could really go for a cookie right now." Wonjin mumbled randomly, his fingers trailing circles along Jungmo's lower back. "Buy me one soon yeah?"

"Mhm." Jungmo nodded, burying his face into Wonjin's chest before he hears the door click open and they're naturally letting each other go.

Jungmo doesn’t buy the cookies.

Well, he does buy a pack of the specific brand he and Wonjin used to sneak and eat together during their training days as a back up plan but he ends up spending almost his entire break during a music show rehearsal researching the best cookies to bake.

He ropes Woobin into helping him this time as a way to not fuck it up.

"But why?" Woobin groaned as Jungmo refused to let go of his wrist until they were fully in the smaller dorms kitchen.

"Because I need your help." Jungmo shrugged. "I tried on my own last time and failed."

"Okay," Woobin continued slowly. "Why, does it matter?" he clarified.

Jungmo licked his lips as he sighed and glanced at the ridiculous amount of baking utensils he had bought on a whim, he flushed as he looked back at Woobin. "I'm doing it for Wonjin." he admitted quietly.

"Ah." Woobin nodded blinking slowly. Jungmo thinks for a split second he's gonna be a jerk and still say no, or even worse, go and tell Wonjin or something but he simply claps and gestures toward the cluttered counter. "We're gonna need that first of all."

Jungmo has never cleaned a kitchen faster in his life as Woobin begins listening pros and cons of gifting Wonjin different types of cookies.

Some were too sweet, others too bitter. Maybe it was too cliche or too out there. Wonjin's specific taste obviously. But freshly baked are always better.

Jungmo thought it was a bit overwhelming but he sticks through it. He's not going the fresh route, it wouldn't work with their ridiculous timing, but he does run to the store and buys a tin can so he can give Wonjin a pretty container of cookies along with everything else.

When they're finished, Jungmo only has to briefly ask Woobin to keep it to himself and not tell anyone, especially Wonjin.

"He deserves it." Woobin shrugged before seeing himself out leaving Jungmo to clean up again.

________________________________

Jungmo's plan starts simple.

The entire group goes out to dinner despite it snowing. They don't get to do it often, nor do they ever hardly agree on one place but they do it on one of their last free days for a few weeks just to have a nice moment together.

Afterwards, Jungmo purposely lingers in the back and waits for Wonjin to finish his conversation with Serim before he's hooking a finger in the belt loop of Wonjin's jeans and pulling him back towards him.

"I could've been having a very important conversation." Wonjin glared.

Jungmo grinned. "You weren't." he said shaking his head.

Wonjin sighs but knocks his shoulder into Jungmo's anyway, their knuckles brushing as they casually swing their arms by their side.

Jungmo would've grabbed Wonjin's hand if Minhee and Allen weren't walking behind them.  He wants to, and he thinks Wonjin wants to as well as Wonjin glares down everytime their hands brush but doesn't make any effort to move away, but he doesn't.

"We should invest in gloves." Wonjin muttered a few minutes later.

Jungmo finds it really cute how Wonjin says it and darts his eyes to Jungmo's hand, his eyebrow cocked.

"Yeah." Jungmo nodded, feigning obliviousness grinning as Wonjin rolled his eyes and looked away. Jungmo hums as he raises his hand and teasingly cups Wonjin's chin before laying his hand flat against his cheek, laughing as Wonjin shoved his hand away.

Wonjin is still glaring when Jungmo actually connects their hands.

When they get back to the dorms, Jungmo gently tugs Wonjin away from the main entrance and quietly leads him down the street a little. The small park there was the perfect place as Jungmo grinned and dropped himself to the ground, laughing at Wonjin's startled expression.

"Make a snow angel with me, Wonjin." Jungmo murmured pulling Wonjin to the snow, the younger huffing as his knees hit the snow.

He glared for all of three seconds before he copied Jungmo and laid down, his arms and legs going back and forth before Jungmo helped pull him up.

"Aw, look it's like they're holding hands." Jungmo cooed pointing at where the snow had overlapped between their snow angels.

"Cute." Wonjin hummed. "But now my ass is freezing."

Jungmo frowned, shaking his head and tugging Wonjin closer, easily flicking a small snowflake off the youngers flushed cheeks. "Do you want to go in?" he asked.

"When did I even agree to hangout?" Wonjin asked confused as he looked up, his eyelashes fluttering as he felt the snow falling on his face. "It's nice, but we're gonna get sick." he muttered.

Jungmo didn't think about that part at all actually. He felt a little bad as he watched Wonjin shiver. "You can change into my clothes." he said as he tugged Wonjin back to the dorm building.

Wonjin actually ended up showering after going through Jungmo's closet and choosing a pair of sweatpants and his flannel to wear. It gave Jungmo the perfect time to sneak into the kitchen, a small relieved feeling at somehow managing to miss running into everyone as he worked to make a decent cup of hot cocoa.

He had looked through three different recipes before choosing one and quickly following it, carrying the two mugs back to his room.

Jungmo made sure the sweater, the snacks and tin of cookies were within reach and the most recent fuzzy blanket was laid across his bed as Wonjin quietly let himself back into his room, blinking surprised.

"Don't overthink." Jungmo panicked at Wonjin's narrowed eyes, his brain suddenly pointing out how it might've looked.

Maybe he shouldn't have brought the candle out.

Wonjin nodded, closing Jungmo's door behind himself, his back pressed against it as he gestured from Jungmo to everything on the bed. "So you're... What exactly?" he frowned.

Jungmo gently tugged Wonjin to the bed, slowly pulling his hands back to his lap. "I kinda started overthinking if you've been okay recently and decided to do... all of this?" he frowned.

"That's a very boyfriend act of someone who's not my boyfriend." Wonjin commented, humming as he glanced at the snacks, a small smile peeking out as he glanced at the sweater. "Very boyfriend." he mumbled. "I didn't even mention that to you."

"Serim talked about it. I asked him to send it to me." Jungmo explained, his face flushed as he looked around. "Also the music playing it's um, a playlist I made."

"You're a dork." Wonjin said blankly as he let out a heavy breath. "And you're making me hate you."

"Wait, what?" Jungmo frowned.

"You're just so.." Wonjin groaned, gesturing vaguely at everything, his cheeks puffed out in frustration. "And we're not.."

Jungmo hummed. "I also made you hot cocoa and I plan to watch at least two movies as long as you don't fall asleep." he continued, grinning as Wonjin sighed louder, accepting the mug, taking a small sip.

"I also roped Woobin into baking cookies with me after I completely bombed making you a dinner that one night." Jungmo explained.

"Ah, that's why you did that." Wonjin snorted, his eyes going to the blue tin can. "I did mention cookies." he muttered softly. "Fuck you." he groaned, throwing a hand in front of his face.

"I think," Jungmo started, grabbing the cup from Wonjin to set it down as he scooted closer. His knee resting on Wonjin's thigh. "That you like that I did all of this." he muttered, scanning Wonjin's flustered face.

"You treat me like your boyfriend too much." Wonjin said in retaliation, frowning.

"Maybe because I want you to be my boyfriend." Jungmo shrugged, his voice casual despite the hammering of his heart against his chest. He was so nervous even if it's been all too clear for months now that they both feel the same.

Wonjin's breath hitched as Jungmo grabbed a hold of his hands again. "Really?" he asked unsure, his voice coming out quiet.

"It's been obvious for years, Wonjin." Jungmo snorted.

Wonjin shook his head. "You thought I was cute. You told Seongmin that's all it was. You never mentioned dating. Even recently."

"I had feelings for you." Jungmo glared. "I have feelings for you." he corrected quickly.

"Me too." Wonjin replied quickly, like if he waited too long to respond Jungmo would take it back. "I like you." he added, quietly, almost hesitant.

Jungmo grinned. The heavy snow falling against the window behind Wonjin's head was a nice contrast to the blinding, all too cheesy, grin on Wonjin's face. "I know." Jungmo replied, sighing dramatically, laughing as Wonjin hit his chest. "You were so into me it was obvious."

"Ask any of the others and they'll all agree you're worse." Wonjin scoffed. "You're annoying."

"So, Ham Wonjin," Jungmo started, his voice low and serious as he held up his hand like a microphone under the others chin. "Did I pass your scale of whether or not you see me as boyfriend worthy?" he asked.

"You're a dork." Wonjin scoffed, pushing his hand away. His smile huge.

Jungmo hummed, pouting playfully. "And that's not an answer." he huffed.

"Ask me out to get a real answer." Wonjin retorted immediately rolling his eyes.

Jungmo grinned. "Will you be my boyfriend?"

"Yes." Wonjin nodded, letting out a small squeak as Jungmo let out a small woop, leaning forward and placed a quick kiss on Wonjin's cheek.

Both of their faces flushed.

They end up moving to lean against the back of Jungmo's headrest, their warm mugs in their hands as the beginning of Polar Express began playing.

Wonjin had actually spilled a small drop of hot cocoa onto Jungmo's white cover, but just as Jungmo groaned and turned to complain about it, Wonjin was quick to mutter an apology and place a small kiss on Jungmo's cheek.

Jungmo thinks his silence after that is completely understandable. He would probably excuse Wonjin setting the world on fire if it meant receiving a simple kiss on his cheek from the younger.

His stunned silence is gone after a few minutes as he watches Wonjin pry open the tin can of cookies. He waits until Wonjin pops a cookie in his mouth before he opens his own, waiting expectantly.

Wonjin scoffed as he swallowed his bite of cookie. "Didn't you bake these for me?"

"Yes." Jungmo shrugged, leaning forward to rest his chin on Wonjin's shoulder. "But, I'm your boyfriend, I worked really hard on making them and I want one." he grinned before he opened his mouth again.

"You're already overusing the boyfriend title and it hasn't even been ten minutes." Wonjin complained but wordlessly placed a cookie in Jungmo's mouth, the older biting down with a grin as he finally sat back up, grabbing the cookie from his mouth as he chewed.

"Hm, you're right." Jungmo nodded, his face turning very serious before he poked Wonjin's cheek playfully. "You should use it just as much as me so we're even."

Wonjin scoffed, rolling his eyes but smirked as he leaned up into Jungmo’s space, his lips brushing against Jungmo's chin. "Okay boyfriend." he murmured, pulling back grinning at Jungmo blinking, starry eyed. "It's too easy." he laughed.

"What is?" Jungmo glared a moment later.

"Getting reactions from you." Wonjin smiled.

"You're annoying." Jungmo huffed, his chin dipping just a bit as he finally cupped Wonjin's cheek, watching as Wonjin's eyes slowly fluttered shut. Jungmo swallowed as he tuned out the sound of the movie and leaned down, brushing their lips together. The sound of his own heartbeat ringing in his ears.

Wonjin tasted like chocolate, cookies and a little bit of whatever chapstick he had recently picked up. It wasn't a super heated kiss, nor was it super long but Jungmo quickly decided this was his new favorite thing.

As soon as he pulled back, he was moving back in, their lips moving together before Jungmo gasped, jumping back startled as Wonjin's cup of cocoa splashed out.

"No." Jungmo glared as Wonjin puckered his lips trying to make it up with a kiss again. His shirt was more soaked than anything, but he could barely breath with how uneven his breathe was coming out.

Wonjin looked just as flustered as he did, and he wasn't talking, his fingers gently tapping his mug as he watched Jungmo curiously.

As soon as Jungmo's brain registered that he and Wonjin had just kissed, momentarily forgetting the whole cocoa mess he shifted, his head falling down to his pillow. He knew that his ears were way too red.

His body was still halfway on Wonjin’s and after a good two minutes of silence, he groaned poking at Jungmo's arm. "Go change your shirt. I can feel it getting onto mine." he scolded, quietly, his voice almost soft.

Jungmo sighed but quickly jumped up to go change, he grabbed a shirt and made a beeline for the bathroom making sure to grab a towel for the mess on his blanket before rushing back to his room.

When he gets back to the room Wonjin is hiding his face in his hands before he jumps startled at the door opening and shoves his hands back by his side.

Jungmo is quick to get back to his spot, gently dabbing at the cocoa mess before he hums and glances at Wonjin. "Make up kiss?" he suggested wiggling his eyebrows, his face hot.

Wonjin narrowed his eyes. "Didn't you just reject my kiss?" he huffed crossing his arms.

Jungmo frowned, tossing the towel across his room as he pulled Wonjin closer, the youngers legs automatically falling on top of his. "I wasn't thinking straight." he murmured, brushing his lips along Wonjin's jawline.

"We're gonna miss the movie." Wonjin sighed dramatically before humming and sitting up, reaching over Jungmo to grab a bag of chocolate covered pretzels not wasting a second before he popped one in his mouth, holding one out for Jungmo as he copied Wonjin's movements to sit up.

"Stay the night?" Jungmo asked, his voice soft as he lazily wrapped his arm around Wonjin's waist.

"Mhmm," Wonjin started scrunching his nose up before nodding. "Fine."

They end up watching two and a half movies before Wonjin gets bored of them and rolls atop Jungmo, his limbs spread out lazily as he props his chin on his folded arms and barely contains a sigh as Jungmo starts threading his fingers through his hair.

"I had more planned for outside." Jungmo admitted quietly. "I should’ve told Hyeongjun to make you dress warmer."

"Did you even tell Hyeongjun anything?" Wonjin frowned. "Because we have a pact that we have to tell the other immediately if you or Minhee are gonna do something stupid."

Jungmo gasped, pulling at Wonjin’s hair slightly harder, grinning as Wonjin glared and swatted at him. "You think this was stupid?" he asked, his voice coming out almost as embarrassed as he would feel if Wonjin didn't even actually like it.

Wonjin hummed. "Yeah. Anything you do that makes my heart do things is stupid."

Jungmo grinned relieved. "You're cute." he murmured. "But no, I only told Woobin. But, I think Serim knew something too since I asked about the sweater. And probably Taeyoung, he puts things together." he shrugged.

"Serim could've told me." Wonjin frowned.

"Hm, No." Jungmo replied before slowly leaning up and locking their lips again, humming as Wonjin gently cupped his face and kissed back.

Once they pulled back for air, Jungmo sighed. "Hey Wonjin?" he mumbled.

"Yeah?"

"We're boyfriend's now." Jungmo whispered into the youngers ear, grinning when Wonjin groaned and rolled over to the other side of the bed, glaring at Jungmo both amused and annoyed.

—

The change between them is almost minimal.

They don't announce anything big to the others but they start quietly leaving to spend more time together and Wonjin openly complains to Serim and Allen about how Jungmo keeps making him sleep at his dorm instead of him coming over to Wonjin's dorm.

They're playing around in the practice room during a water break. Wonjin had started running the choreo on his own before Jungmo shook his head and stalked over, pulling the other away from the mirror.

"Go away." Wonjin glared.

"No." Jungmo glared back. "Come sit." he mumbled softer as he gently tugged Wonjin to the other side of the room, pulling him into the space next to him.

"I was busy, Jungmo." Wonjin grumbled pushing the olders hands away.

"You need breaks too." Jungmo frowned, shaking his head.

"You annoy me." Wonjin grumbled, turning his head to the side as he tried to hide a yawn. He was glaring as he looked back at Jungmo before he tugged on the older's arm and turned his body before he placed his head on Jungmo's shoulder. "Five minutes." he stated.

"As long as it's anything." Jungmo mumbled, laying his head on Wonjin's.

No one really looks at them, which surprised Jungmo at first because they were dating now, surely the others had something to say.

"Hey, have you told anyone?" Jungmo asked quietly, wanting to talk but also wanting Wonjin to actually rest.

"My parents." Wonjin shrugged, burying his face in Jungmo's neck. "Have you?"

Jungmo feels himself get warm over Wonjin telling his parents, but he regretfully shakes his head. "I didn't know we were. I didn't want to make you uncomfortable." he admitted.

"I never said we had to keep it to ourselves." Wonjin grumbled tiredly. "You can tell people."

"Don't tempt me because I will scream that we're dating and you're my boyfriend right now." Jungmo murmured teasingly, grinning as Wonjin laid his arm over his front keeping him in place.

"Scream with my ears anywhere close to your mouth and I'll break up with you in front of everyone." Wonjin huffed.

"Feisty." Jungmo scoffed, his voice probably sounded annoyed but he had a small smile on his face and felt happier than he has in forever.

It's during the second break that Minhee looks up from his phone amused as he turns it in Jungmo's direction. "Look, your boyfriend is on my for you page."

Jungmo looked up, expecting to see Wonjin or their group TikTok and it being some comical joke that Minhee thought of but frowned as he sees another idol.

"Wonjin?" Allen questioned as he leaned to look at the screen. "Oh, that's not Wonjin."

"No, his other boyfriend." Minhee corrected.

"He only has one." Wonjin chimed in from where Serim was holding his leg, pressing on it to stretch it. "So my face should be on that screen when I look up."

Hyeongjun coughs on his drink, spitting it out on Seongmin as he glances at Wonjin. "Damn." he whispered proudly.

Jungmo grinned. His face warm as the others looked at him like they were waiting for a witty reply as he shrugged and grabbed Minhee's phone, quickly going to their group account and scrolling until he comes across Wonjin's latest solo tiktok. "Look, my real boyfriend." he replied.

Taeyoung's eyes were wide as he glanced from Jungmo to the screen to Wonjin. "Genuinely?"

Jungmo nodded. "We've been dating for like two weeks now." he muttered quietly.

"See, I don't believe you." Seongmin said narrowing his eyes as he looked at Wonjin, the other finally getting up from stretching. "Is he being serious?" he asked.

"Yes we're dating." Wonjin shrugged swatting at Jungmo’s hand as he tried to pull him closer. He still sat down next to him afterwards.

"Called it." Serim chimed in, joining them. "Told you that Wonjin was acting more giggly recently."

"Seriously?" Seongmin asked in disbelief as he looked between them. "I feel like you're pulling a weird joke. You two finally figuring out your mess with a label? Sounds impossible."

"Do you want us to kiss in front of you to prove it?" Wonjin scoffed. "We are genuinely dating."

"Wait was that an offer?" Jungmo asked glancing at him, pouting as Wonjin shoved his face away.

"If it helps any I can confirm Jungmo was planning all these cute things for Wonjin." Woobin chimed in nudging Seongmin's arm.

Seongmin nodded. "Yeah okay, you I believe."

Wonjin rolled his eyes. "I'm hurt." he said, placing a hand on his chest.

"You play around too much." Taeyoung chimed in as he glanced between them. "But, Jungmo's room has been locked more recently so I believe it."

"Wonjin just doesn't want you people to see him being all cute and lovey dovey." Jungmo grinned, wincing as Wonjin pinched his waist.

"Shut up." Wonjin groaned as he laid his body across Jungmo's lap, his head falling against Hyeongjun's thigh. Jungmo's hands naturally coming to rub at Wonjin's stomach comfortingly.

—

"At least you're wearing a scarf this time." Jungmo grinned as he watched Wonjin swing their connected hands down by their sides. "Your nose is still pink though." he teased, using his other free hand to poke at Wonjin's face.

"Stop, your hands are freezing." Wonjin glared pulling away.

Jungmo didn't really know where the others had disappeared to, he had kinda lost track of everything when Wonjin walked over to him and kissed him openly in front of everyone before asking if he wanted to take a walk together.

Jungmo hadn't actually wanted to walk but he nodded dumbly as Wonjin interlocked their fingers and pulled him down the sidewalk, the light snow falling all around them.

"I don't know if I've said it." Wonjin started, glancing at Jungmo before glancing back at the snow on the ground. "But I've been trying to be more open about everything, so Serim encouraged me to tell you."

"Tell me what?' Jungmo asked frowning.

"I'm really, really happy." Wonjin admitted glancing at him again, a shy expression falling to his face. "I'm glad we're together." he mumbled.

"Me too." Jungmo replied softly, grinning.

Wonjin hummed as he stopped, turning so that he could wrap his arms around Jungmo's shoulders, the olders hands naturally connecting around his waist. "Don't get tired of me?"

"Hm." Jungmo hummed brushing their lips together. "You're kinda a lot." he started, before genuinely kissing him until they were both breathless, their faces flushed from the cold and being so affectionate. "But I love every part of you and I want nothing less."

"Good." Wonjin mumbled.

They kissed again, with snow falling down all around them. Jungmo pulled Wonjin as close as he could both because he just wanted him close and because he could feel the younger starting to shiver. He hummed as he pulled away, pecking Wonjin's lips once before looking down at him.

"We should go force the others into a snowball fight." Wonjin mumbled, pulling himself impossibly closer into Jungmo’s warmth.

"You're practically shaking from the cold already." Jungmo frowned.

"Who cares. I want to have a fun snowball fight with all of my favorite people." Wonjin glared, finally pulling back as he turned to walk off, pausing before he glanced back at Jungmo. "Plus, it gives me a very valid excuse of cuddling my boyfriend in his bed for the rest of the day."

Jungmo smiled as he caught up to the younger. "Okay, but are we on the same team?" he asked.

"No. I wouldn't dream of throwing a snowball harder at anyone than at you." Wonjin hummed.

Jungmo laughed, leaning down to place a small kiss on the side of Wonjin's head before they found the others, who immediately agreed to the snowball fight.

Jungmo found himself smiling softly everytime Wonjin laughed, his smile puffing his cheeks out as he looked like he was genuinely having fun.

That's what Jungmo wanted to see on Wonjin's face— The happiness, the carefreeness and even the snarkiness sometimes. Not the stress or anxiety or tired looks he's been having.

Jungmo thinks he would actually set the world on fire for Wonjin if it meant the younger kept smiling like that.
