Assistance of a halovian

Summary:

Robin comes out to Sunday but he's just a chill guy

Notes:

Made this because I think I see little sunset dots under her eyes in the penacony story.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Sunday was sitting alone within his study reading. The room was silent aside from the turning of pages and crackling of the fire. The enjoyment of this time was as present on Sunday's face as it could be.

Suddenly, the silence in the air was broken by the creak of a door and Robin's footsteps. She was faster and louder than usua. Her perfect makeup slightly smudged around her eyes and hair ruffled and sticking up as if she had just woken up. She wasn't even wearing her signature dress and instead wearing simple sweatpants and a hoodie.

"Um..., Sunday?" Robin quivered as tears welled up. "What is it, is something wrong?" "No, I just wanted to tell you..." She then mumbled something neither of them could hear. "What was that? I'm sorry I couldn't hear you." Robin stumbled through her words before she was finally able to force out the words "I'm a lesbian." Right before she almost fully broke down, falling to her knees and sobbing, wrecking her makeup even more in the process.

"Oh" Sunday said calmly in stark contrast to his sister on the floor. "Well, thank you for telling me. If you wouldn't mind, could I go back to my book now?" "But wha-at do I do? How do I tell people?" Robin asked, stuttering her words with fear of the judgement of others in her eyes and speech. "Sister, I do hope you know that penacony is an incredibly accepting place for all people, regardless of how they identify. If you are looking for a partner, there is a way to identify yourself." Robin, calmer now, responds with "What is it? What do I do?" Sunday, being happier as a result of his sister starting to feel better. "Before I show you, go get cleaned up. You'll need to look good to decide how you would like to do it. She nodded before leaving Sunday to his book as she got her makeup and dress back on and hair back in shape.

As Robin walked back in the room, Sunday was deep within his book again. "Alright, I'm ready for you to show me what it is." Sunday put his book down and began to speak "The most common way of showing it is with three colors. Pink, white and orange, in that order. It could be anywhere visible on your body, such as something on you clothing or in you hair." "Alright. If you would excuse me." Robin said before leaving the room.

She came back shortly with three dots of makeup underneath her left eye. "How's this?" She asked in her normal tone. "Subtle yet obvious to those who are looking. Amazing choice." Sunday reviewed as a smile crept onto his face. Robin thanked him before leaving. Right before Robin had opened the door, she asked "how exactly do you know this?" Sunday had a smile creep back onto his face. "Have you met Gallagher? Member of the bloodhound family security team?" "Yes?" "Well he works with a woman named Siobhan. She told him, who told me and it is now being told to you." She had a moment of realization before waving goodbye to her brother and going out to golden hour as Sunday picked up his book before being left in othered for the rest of the day.
