Frankie ran a hand through his lop ears. The rabbit sighed as he looked at the calendar. It was almost Christmas, and he knew he would be along again. Both Henry Hotline and Deputy Duck rarely stopped by, and the Contestants came and went, usually to monster Frankie, evil Frankie, the other Frankie, his evil twin, Frankie 2, or whatever you wanted to call him to satisfy his hunger. They had been brothers before the horrid experiences. They were never open for big holidays.
"Well, Frankie another year and another Christmas here at Frankie’s Parkour Palace talking to yourself," Frankie said out loud. After checking the cameras to make sure the other Frankie had laid down to sleep, Frankie walked into the employee lounge, grabbed a hot chocolate drink, sat down, and started enjoying his drink. After finishing his hot chocolate, he yawned, he then placed the mug down on the side table and laid down, falling asleep not long after.
Frankie groaned and looked around. Something had disturbed his slumber, and he was about to go back to sleep when he heard a noise.
"Henry, Deputy Duck hello?"
When he didn't get an answer and yelled their names.
"HENRY HOTLINE, DEPUTY DUCK, which one of you is doing that?"
When he didn't get another answer he sighed and stood up. He was about to call their names again when a look of horror came to his face. Frankie rushed back towards the surveillance room checking up on the other Frankie. The other Frankie was still fast asleep. If it wasn't for his razor-sharp teeth and his desire for flesh, he looked kind of cute. Frankie shook his head, the other Frankie was far from cute, what was he thinking? Frankie walked back to the lounge room not long after he heard the noise again, his ears twitched, and it sounded like it came from outside.
"Just great, sounds like more teenagers trying to cause trouble."
He grabbed a bat and walked outside, more snow had started falling. The noise sounded like it was coming from the dumpsters. He walked over towards them and was about to swing the bat when he stopped. There in front of him was a little girl. She didn't have a coat on and looked quite dirty. He leaned down towards her.
"Hey Sweetie, what are you doing here, where is your family?"
The girl turned towards him and started walking backward.
"No, no, wait. It's okay. I'm not going to hurt you," Frankie said as he held out a gloved hand.
The girl stopped but still looked scared. Frankie thought for a moment, and an idea came to him. He pulled off his hat and grabbed a wand from his glove. He waved the wand over the hat, and not long after, a plush rabbit popped out.
"Bunny!" The girl said while trying to reach for the plushie.
"You like that don't you?" asked Frankie
she nodded
"What is your name?"
She looked at Frankie but didn't answer.
"Okay, well I'm Frankie the magician rabbit, but you can just call me Frankie."
She nodded
"How about you come with me inside and we can get you some hot chocolate?"
When the girl heard chocolate she jumped up and down with joy.
Frankie led her inside and got her some hot chocolate and as soon as she gave it to her she gussled it down. He had also gotten her something to eat. When she was finished he put her to bed on his cot. Tomorrow she would need a bath.
Frankie checked on the other Frankie making sure that he was still asleep before heading to bed himself.
In the morning, before waking the little girl up Frankie walked down to the gift shop and grabbed a t-shirt, After waking her up they headed to Frankie's bathroom where he drew a bath for the girl, placed her in the bath and scrubbed until she was as clean as Frankie could get her. When he was finished, Frankie wrapped a towel around the girl when he thought she was dry and placed the t-shirt on her, it looked almost like a dress on her since it was so big, but it would have to do until he could get her some clothes. Just then he heard a knock, when he answered it Henry Hotline was standing there.
"Frankie we have a problem the other Frankie is up and wandering around I think he's hungry and is looking for something to eat, could you please go get the meat for him, so he doesn't try, killing and eating us?"
"Henry, I'm a little busy right now, can't you do it?"
"You want me to do it, by myself?"
"Then take Deputy Duck with you."
"But Frankie!"
"Henry, I just said, I'm busy."
"Fine, I'll do it, but is that on you if something happens?"
"Just do it, Henry, it's not like you haven't done it before. Now if you please, I have to get back to what I was doing."
Henry stood there for a bit after Frankie closed the door, he sighed and walked to the food court to get the meat for the other Frankie.
When he got to the food court he noticed Frankie had the dummy all ready for the meat. Henry placed the meat on the dummy and rolled it towards where he last saw the other Frankie.
Henry pushed the dummy in the other Frankie's direction when he found the other Frankie, catching his attention. Henry started to move when he noticed he was caught on the dummy. A look of horror came to his face. The other Frankie headed straight for the dummy. Grabbing it and Henry.
Henry could feel the tight embrace.
"PUT ME DOWN" Henry Hotline yelled
But he paid Henry no attienion
Henry could feel the giant rabbit's grip
"Frankie stop you got the meat, please," Henry begged
Just when Henry thought it was all over, he heard another voice and looked towards it seeing the other Frankie
"Hey put Henry down, I said put him down now."
Henry felt the grip loosen and he felt himself fall, He landed on the floor with a thud.
As soon as he got up he ran to the real Frankie panting
"That's the last time I'm doing that Frankie."
Henry took off not noticing the little girl in the good Frankie's arms and Frankie watched the other Frankie slink off.
The little girl clutched onto Frankie scared of the other Frankie, and he noticed
"You want some breakfast and more hot chocolate?" He asked the girl
She nodded and Frankie walked back to the food court with the little girl
Frankie grabbed a box of Frankie's Fruit Flakes a jug of milk, a spoon, and a bowl and placed them on a table. He then walked over to the Keurig machine and placed a hot chocolate pod in the machine when the cup was full of hot chocolate he also placed that on the table. Frankie picked up the girl and placed her in a chair. while she ate, Frankie was thinking of a name for her.
"Do you have a name?" Asked Frankie
The girl looked at him but didn't say anything.
"Okay then, I guess I'll pick a name for you, How about Lucy, I could call you LuLu for short?"
The little girl nodded
"Lucy it is."
When Lucy was finished Frankie cleaned up, when they got back to his room he looked at the calendar again. He would make sure he got something for Lucy on Christmas day. Frankie turned on the TV and placed Lucy in front of it, while she seemed distracted by the cartoons, Frankie walked to the gift shop and grabbed a Plushie of him, Henry Hotline, and Deputy Duck, he also grabbed another T-shirt and a few chocolate bars and gift wrapped them. When he was finished he hid the Christmas presents so Lucy wouldn't find them before Christmas.
One day, while Lucy and Frankie were eating breakfast, Henry Hotline and Deputy Duck walked into the food court and noticed Frankie and Lucy.
"Who is this Frankie, kidnapping humans and feeding them to the other Frankie are we?"
Lucy looked scared
"This is Lucy and she is staying with us, If you say anything like that again I'll feed you to the other Frankie."
"It was just a joke, Frankie, I didn't mean any harm by it."
"Just Like I wasn't kidding about what I said," replied Frankie
Frankie turned towards Lucy.
"Don't worry about ole Henry Hotline there, his bark is worse than his bite. Who is happy for Christmas?"
"Yeah!" Lucy said after calming down, then went back to eating.
Days passed by, and Christmas Eve was finally here Frankie and Lucy had gotten closer. Frankie had already left Henry's and Deputy Duck's gifts near their doors. Frankie put Lucy to bed after they left Cookies and milk for Santa. He checked on the other Frankie and placed Lucy's Christmas gifts under the tree before heading to bed himself.
In the morning Frankie was woken up by Lucy.
"Santa, Santa, Santa!" Lucy said over and over.
"Okay, Lucy I'm up but let's have breakfast before we open gifts okay?
"Okay!" Lucy said sadly
Frankie led them to the food court and placed Lucy in a chair. Not long after, Frankie came out with Christmas pancakes and placed them on the table. When Lucy saw them, she smiled. Frankie placed a plate with a pancake for Lucy and set it in front of her. He then placed a mug of hot chocolate next to her plate. Frankie then placed a pancake on his plate and a mug of hot chocolate near his plate, enjoying it. Henry Hotline and Deputy Duck had come just as they were finishing up. They both greeted Frankie and Lucy. When it was time for Lucy to open her gifts she tore through them like they were made from bubbles. She seemed to love the Frankie plushie the most. Frankie then grabbed a paper and said to Lucy.
"When I first found you I called to see if someone was missing you, but nobody seemed to know where you came from, so unless they find someone, you're Living with me, Lucy."
Lucy smiled and said. "Daddy, can I have a chocolate bar?"
Frankie was touched."How about a half of one so we don't spoil your appetite for lunch and dinner?"
"Yay, chocolate."
Frankie smiled, this Christmas was the best he had.
