Sanemi glanced up as someone entered the room. His sword glistened in the newfound light. A familiar butterfly haori swooshed through the door, an inviting sound. “Oh… Kanae!” Sanemi grumbled, looking down.
“Hello Sanemi!” Kanae smiled, sitting down next to him. “Your brother Genya is sick, and you were in the area! So I just-“
“I don’t have a brother.”
“Sanemi.” Kanae looks at him from where she was sitting, a knowing look in her eyes. She reaches out a hand, holding Sanemi‘s cheek. Even though the gesture was comforting, it sharpened Sanemi’s eyes.
“You don’t have to hide it from me.”

Sanemi sighed, thinking through his options. He could on one hand, vent to Kanae all his troubles. On the other hand though, would she betray him, like all other people and tell his story? Or would she judge him? Lots of options, and they’re looking kinda bleak. Sanemi held his head in his hands, Kanae’s hand still clutching his cheek. She pokes Sanemi’s cheek with her other hand. “Sanemi…? Talk to me Sanemi. I won’t judge you. I promise.” Kanae stares at him, trying to locate his deep purple eyes through hair. She scoots slightly closer to him, holding another hand onto his face.
“Kanae…. I….. I just….” Sanemi muttered, struggling to get the right words out.
Kanae simply waited patiently, slowly caressing Sanemi’s face. However, inside Sanemi, he was having a red circle with arrows. Should I tell her? She said she wouldn’t judge but… that’s what everyone says, right? As Sanemi dig his hands into his face, he suddenly finally felt Kanae’s hands also on the face, the soft skin brushing against his scarred one. “Sanemi…. If you don’t want to tell me, you don’t have to. This is only if you want to!” Kanae was full on clinging to Sanemi now, pulling his hands away from his face so it doesn’t cause bleeding.
“Kanae… I-“
Kanae looked up, light filling her eyes. He’s finally going to stop bullying his brother? He’ll tell me why he always denies the alle- (WHO SAID THAT)

He’ll finally tell me why he denies the fact that he has a brother!! Kanae held onto Sanemi tighter as she thinks.
“Well… it started when-“
Sanemi’s kusugai crow suddenly bursted through the door, staring at the two, almost cuddling.
