"No," Edwin repeated, crossing his arms over his chest. "This seems to be far to reckless. What would happen should there be a crash? I am fully aware that you have multiple lives remaining, however I was under the impression you did not waste them so frivolously."
Thomas snorted a laugh. "That was a lot of words just to say you are scared of something new babe, he teased. "It's just sledding, Edwin. Sure it's fast, but the only real risk is getting covered in snow. Heck, we don't even have to walk back to the top." He wiggled his fingers to make the flames: dance. "Don't worry, I won't tell Crystal you actually had fun. It can be our little secret."
Edwin rolled his eyes but failed to hide his smile. "Alright, you absolute
menace.”
Hours later, with a cup of hot tea and hair ruffled by wind and cheeks reddened by cold (corporality courtesy of the Cat King) Edwin would reluctantly admit Thomas had been right.
“We should try skijoring next,” Thomas grinned. “You know how to ride horses right?”
